Gaming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Was still tough for me because I had no healing items and less then half of my health but I ended up getting him... Didn't know you can meditate to recover that stuff either until later.

You can't meditate during the fight though. I beat Golem but got lost afterwards, wandering around right now but cannot find my way - I know there'll be another boss soon but I have no idea where he is. I'm getting extremely annoyed with this dungeon, I'd only entered it because I thought it'd be quick affair but I've been stuck in it for more than an hour with no possibility of exiting to the normal world and perhaps two more difficult opponents to beat before I can go back to surface. I won't ever enter dungeon without looking up the length of it again, I just want to wander around and explore now to boost up my character!

Not sure how you got lost. It's a pretty straight forward dungeon.

I have no idea either. I looked it up on Youtube and I have no idea where I'd gone after Golem fight to find myself where I am (the big room with the statue in the middle and plenty of poison around, you can go to an underwater passage at the end but it leads nowhere). I think I will go back to the circular room with the water drop in the middle because I think that's where the door to the Golem fight was initially so I can enter the same room again and go through where I should have. I have tried to figure out how I'd found myself in current place but there's really no explanation.

I still hate it because I should have done side quests before, I started playing yesterday excited that I'd explore some of the world and I'd ended up running the same dungeon for over an hour. Screw this.

You need to jump down into the water, dive under and follow the passage that takes you to a path over the room. You'll see a picture of a horse on the wall - examining it opens up a secret path where Keira is.

Keira is standing next to me. She follows me all the time but refuses to jump into water in the room that I needlessly entered. I think I know the way back to the room from which I'd entered the Golem fight - going there will probably be the best pick, then take the correct exit. The room I'm currently in leads nowhere, I'm pretty sure of it.

What you're talking about is before Golem fight I think. I had to go through the secret passage and then jump down. I'm near the place from which I'd jumped down before now, I still struggle to understand how I got there. It was 1 AM.

Gwent is pretty much the best thing about this game, I walk into brothels with the sole intention of winning cards from hookers

I'm unbeaten at Gwent. Gonna play that woman you're all moaning about.

I never even took the time to learn Gwent. Maybe I should have a pop.

Without going into spoiler territory, well, very minor spoiler I guess, I was in a sauna with some old hag, wrinkly tits hanging and they jiggled a lot. They really went into detail for old woman tit physics.

The amount of wrinkles on her body was unreal!

Erm yes, and how? Did you have any hero cards? :wenger:

Don't think so. Not sure what they are. I just had a lot of Siege cards and my captain or whatever it is doubled them and then I froze her entire front line where she'd been putting most of her cards.

I am stuck in a dungeon and don't think I beat the Arachas. Trying to find a way out but keep drowning FFS.

Sounds like the perfect draw to beat her. I only tried her once so will give it another go tomorrow.

I've had to stop playing because some c*nt kid next door has blowing a flute in the garden for the last hour like a prick and I need to play my music to drown it out.

I'm back playing now. I f*cking hate those kids. Literally every 'game' they play in their garden involves screaming like banshees.

Just killed a level 14 Forktail while at level 6 because it got stuck in a corner so I just slashed at it for 3 minutes until it died.

Unless you're counting coins for your next meal then yes.

FYI...Another patch is out in case you didn't see it (1.04).

Never played witcher, the lack of multiplayer puts me off. The only saving grace would be an amazing story mode. Is this the case?

Should I at least play The Witcher 2 before I play this for the lore? Or is it ok to just jump into?

If you got time, but there are YouTube videos for that as well. Best on PC with combat mods to make up for lackluster standard combat.

Great story, and lots of action. It does what the last Dragon Age attempted (action/adventure Western RPG) much better.

Meh I'm devastated, I think my save is corrupted the game won't load I've tried about 5 times now. Brilliant game but if I can't get it going then I won't repeat the 45 hours I've put in so far.

You played 45 hours through the game and only had one save file? That's an awful mistake to make. Always have multiple saves, that way you should never lose more than a few hours. Is there not any autosaves you can go back to? I've only ever pressed continue so not sure what the deal is with loading games. I hope you haven't lost it all.

Never played a witcher game in my life, jumped straight into this.

However, highly recommend you switch on youtube for a quick background on the lore prior to this game.

The load game option automaticly saves your last 7-8 saves so it's not bad, I finally got one of them to work and I'm only 1-2 hours behind. Strange how the first 5-6 saves didn't load though I'm wondering if today's patch had anything to do with it.

I've not played since the new patch hit so now I'm hoping the same hasn't happened to me

I've always got 3 or 4 alternating manual saves on every game I play. Always saving over the oldest one.

I skipped through all the dialogue and made it to the point in which it froze before and it's done the exact same thing, the game must be fecked.

Finally beat Yoana at Gwent, drew 2 blizzard cards and 2 heroes, a horn blower and paired archers...bitch got rekt.
