Television The Walking Dead

TBH, I was kinda hoping to see her body lying on the table when they bring Rick and company inside to kill them. She really is a pointless character.

The guy on the table was Gareth's brother wasn't it? Kind of cold how he'd even eat his family. I liked the episode that was focused on her and Daryl last season. I'm willing to let her develop and try to become interesting. They have quite a big cast at the moment though, so I expect some to die soon.

Great episode. Felt like a season finale. Bring on the season now!

Can't believe Carol is one of my favourites now. She really has developed really well. From a nothing character to the complete badass of the group.

Have hope for Beth to become interesting now! haha.

I've found most the characters are kind of pointless in the show to be honest.

The only ones the show would get significantly worse without are probably Rick, Daryl and Michonne, the rest are quite easily disposable and don't really add anything to the show.

I think it was a good episode but I can't see this series being brilliant, 4 looked like it was going a bit to long. I read somewhere in this thread before (can't find it now!) that there is meant to be backstories? I think that would add to the show to be honest and probably give the characters some kind of interest. Whilst itwould slow it down a bit it would make them seem a lot less pointless than they are.

I didn't even release this show was restarting. Was a nice surprise of a Tuesday.

The group is definitely way too big now. Inevitable deaths are incoming. My money is on Bob Stookey (had to google his name - nothing character) and some of the newer characters like that Rosita girl.

Michonne, Carol & Daryl >>

I would love to see some backstories, but it needs to be a balance - for example in season 3 I think it was we saw a little of Michonne's backstory which added a lot of depth and warmth to her character and made her a lot more likeable - she was already bad ass, but knowing her backstory added a new dimension into how she became the persona she is. And made her bond with Carl that much more special too.

But that was spread out over a number of episodes, if we had entire episodes focused on backstories it would lose all momentum.

The season premier was good I enjoyed it, I have a feeling the people from Terminus will come back at some point.
And I agree that the group is too big now, there will be deaths! As long as Michonne, Glen, Carol & Daryl are left untouched.

When he was introduced, I thought he'd be a cool character but he fell in love and became a bit of a wet lettuce!

Don't fault a man in love!

But he is kinda dictated by maggie which is annoying, i wouldn't mind if she died and he lived on in her honour or something.

I just think he lost his edge. I just remember when he was introduced he seemed to be a bit of a risk taker. I won't say badass, but he'd go on supply runs etc and generally had more edge about him whereas now Carol, who was the timid, quiet, abused wife and even she has more edge about her now...

It was a great episode, but we had to sit through half a season of walking through the woods to get it. Feels like it should've been the climax to last season.

That episode with the two little girls was great. Plus some of the scenes with Daryl with that gang and the final episode of last season too was a good episode.

Yeah I agree on carol in the very first episodes when she was beaten by her husband and such a weakling i thought she'd be one of the first to go, I couldn't have guessed just how far her character would develop and now she's one of my favourites. I guess hanging around with daryl and his badass-ness has rubbed off on her. It'll be sad when/if she dies. I have similar feelings for michonne, rick, daryl couldn't careless about the rest though.

I thought one of the T-Dawgs were gonna die so was a bit of a surprise they didnt. Really liked the episode, even the firework blow up the entrance scene. It made me laugh but was still good. Makes me laugh how much of an expert some of them are on some things theyve never done or shown them to do before.

That post ending scene was a shock :o Thanks for posting the vid.

Is t-dawg on the verge of becoming racist slang?

Nah, its cos everybody on this forum would call him tdawg1 or tdawg2. Kinda like how Rick became Steve or whatever he was called.

Speaking of rick, unlimited ammo :s

The first ten minutes might be among the best 10 minutes of TV The Walking Dead has ever done. At least that way to me. Some silly things, like the fireworks (at least make her aim at it), but overall I am very pleased at the start of the season.

Yeah I actually liked it too.

It's still got people shooting at the floor well before they actually lift the gun up, and silly things like how the feck Carol suddenly got so clean, but it was a good start to the season.

Watch the next episode go back to boring drivel now they've blown half the budget :(

Just saw it, surprisingly really good. Should have been the finale for last season, as the last episode last season really wasn't a finale type episode.

I'm not sure if I missed it or they didn't say it, but does anyone know what the army guy is going to tell Rick or has to tell him? At the end of the episode the girl nudges army guy and he says he'll tell him, just not now.

Hard as hell to remember everyone's names though, apart from the originals like Rick, Carol, Carl, Glen, Daryl and then Maggie and Tyrese from later seasons.

I thought it was a great episode which allowed me to like Carol as a character for once with her badass sniping, but one tiny thing that irked me was that a couple of the people getting eaten were faking their screaming a little too much whilst they were getting eaten. For example, one woman had half her throat ripped out yet she could scream better than I could. The story of Terminus could also have gone on a little longer because it looked really interesting, but that still could mean there is more to come for all we know of it.

Otherwise, very entertaining fighting.

I think the occasional flash backs will tell the whole Terminus story. But they seem relentless and they will go after the others.

The premiere was good, was pretty funny to see most of the Terminus people killed in one episode, the complete opposite of all the time-wasting and lack of urgency against Woodbury. Wish they had listened to Rick and closed off the episode by going back and annihilating the survivors.

Carol placed that firework through a completely random hole in the fence without even looking at the angles. I thought the episode was good, but that one moment was completely ludicrous

Yeah it was stupid. Infact most of the stuff she was doing was a bit unbelievable. Trying to save ammo at the prison yet she's managed to have enough practise to turn into a bad ass sniper, which would take years.

She fired mortars in a past life. I think it was highly realistic.
Yeah, I'm surprised people are missing this. There was a whole back story of how she'd been firing mortars for years whilst her husband cheated on her and beat her.

Glad that the writers used her mortar skills in an episode to be honest, I was afraid they never would get around to using it.

Glad at least someone remembered this! Knew I could count on you mate.

Carol is hilarious. Hour after hour of "character development" and she's still the most annoying, boring character in the show. They can keep trying to make her cool by turning her into Solid Snake, but it'll never be even slightly believable and she's overdue an excruciating death. Thats the only thing to look forward to with her.

Egads!

I cannot describe my hatred for Coorrallll. Truly one of the worst actors I've ever seen, he's so wooden its cringeworthy to watch and the character himself is a whiny idiot who thinks he's older than he is.

My mrs reckons there's a kid in Once upon a Time who's worse. I refuse to both accept that and check the evidence for myself.

He truly is terrible.

I don't want to read this thread to avoid spoilers but I downloaded all seasons on Wednesday to see hat the fuss was about.

I started watching on Thursday and I'm on season 4 just watched episode 10. What a show!! I can't stop watching, it's gone from strength to strength. I will join the discussion properly when I'm fully caught up.
