Television The Walking Dead

Just watched it. I'm dissapointed that they didn't defeat the saviours so we can move on next season. They are obviously milking the fact negan is popular so going to drag him out for another half a season at least until he is completely stale as a character. There's only so much more him telling anyone who tries to kill him that they have massive balls and he likes them I can take. On a side note I was sure eugeine was going to get the bat to the head at the end there.

Just finished the latest season and I'm out. Done. feck this stupid show.

But I'll keep reading this thread, it's brilliant.

RoShawn

ugh, that finale sucked

it reminded me of the gun 'battles' you had as a kid running around a playground with cap guns.
- people literally couldn't shoot other people at 5 yards
- have you seen how some of them hold the guns? yet they are all supposedly training with them and other weapons. (Producers, why not teach your extras how to actually hold guns)
- Negan flips the bird, yet half of Alexandria are shooting the truck up as he drives by. Come on, seriously?
- Negan runs away like a scaredy cat when the action starts. Why? he still had the superior firepower.
- 'The Kingdom' have an army of SIX people. SIX. Feck off.
- likewise the Hilltop, where have all the people gone?

I could go on and on. I will watch the next season to see how the 'war' concludes then i'm probably done.

Roshawn  no idea how that connection is made. Brilliant name though.

If only Negan would stop talking endlessly and just club Carl in the head my faith would be restored in this show almost instantly. Like you said in these points, it needed a strong ending that would send message that Negan is not feckin around as a buildup to payoff in the next season.

yeah exactly. That would have been a great ending, though perhaps too similar to the finale from last season

would be great to really see Rick descend into madness and go crazy

Fear the walking dead is back, its still not great but actually more entertaining than The Walking dead now

I do like the B movie feel.....
and that bit where the soldier gets pulled through the vent was hilarious, not sure if it was intentional having his head split from being knocked on plasterboard and when the camera changes angle his body looked to have completely flipped over...

Also i didn't like Travis at first, but he grew on me, and had one of the best developments. In killing him, they killed off the wrong character. It would have been far more interesting had they killed off Madison(who is still very annoying and just a female version of Rick, but much more unlikeable ). Same thing they did with Chris, just when he was becoming interesting hes killed off

I got laughed at for saying this earlier but FTWD is way better than TWD right now. Not that it says much though.

hope the end of that trailer means this is the last season and it was all a dream

I was joking about being free from having to watch it any more :D. I know what it actually means though.
Haha, oh. It's hard to tell because some fans are so negative about the show it's unbelievable, one forum i'm on has loads of people posting every week about how crap it is, yet they still watch.

I stopped at season 5 and a bit. Apparently theyre still running around this forest 2 seasons later and that broke me mentally.

Should I try it and continue?:nervous:

Same like GoT then
GoT is mostly people complaining about minor plot annoyances (time travel etc.) and that the show isn't quite what it used to be, whilst still accepting that it's a very good, sometimes great show. This on the other hand has just been absolute rubbish for a while now and most people (me included) only really watch cause we've spent seven fecking seasons doing so and don't want to give up now, plus it does have the rare good episode (opener and finale).

I got as far as S5 and can't continue. I just can't anymore
I got halfway through s7. Still got the second half sat in planner unwatched. Been nearly six months now.

In my opinion it's awesome and you should, but the only bad thing for me was season 2, i've love all of the rest bar a few minor things.

This. Absolutely.
I've invested too much time to give up now.
Just hope the ending is around the corner.
Unlike GoT where i don't want it to end.

Like Dexter, I'm hate-watching it now.

What did the ending of that trailer mean? Because for me, I'm guessing it's a pointless scene to get people talking about the show and wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't even in the season when it airs.

Was the ending old man rick waking up?

If so, the meaning of it is a spoiler. Not sure why they put it in the trailer mind as it was stupid to.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the end is a gimmick as well and it probably won't feature in the season .
