Television The Walking Dead

Was a decent episode, problem with the show is that there is no consistency, the next episode is likely to be sh!te. Rick surviving being surrounded by a horde of zombies .

Who was that ginger tosser at the end there? Is that someone we're supposed to know or just a random?
Eric, Aaron's fella. He's been in it since season 5 when they were recruiting Rick's group for Alexandria.

Is it me or did the first 10 minutes of this episode feel like a sitcom? Gregory' overacting, the introduction to the Kingdom and the reaction to the tiger were all rather comedic and felt really out of place.

The stuff at the hilltop was certainly strange. For some reason they went to Gregory even though hes a dick and nobody follows him.

After that, its Enid (whos name I wish was Erid so we can say backwards its Dire) who is the only one smart enough for some reason to actually ask the people what they want (not sure why Maggie cant do it as they somehow see her as a leader and saviour even though its pretty much her fault what happened to them).

Its like it tries to be serious but then cant pull of the whacky that ZNation does. Nuts show.

What was rick grinning about at the end ?.
Who is it he sees ?,anyone got any ideas ?.
And keep it real , we know it's not
Elvis,Gandhi, Jesus etc etc etc...

From what they were saying on Talking Dead...the women at the end/Rick smiling will end up being a good thing.....jesus you know who I can't stand....Negans second in charge....that bearded cnut who came searching for Daryl. I doubt Gabriel just took off on his own....I think he has fully changed for the good and benefit of the group...he was either is doing this to help the group for the long run or he was forced.

Easy to take out negan or a lot of his men , place bombs in the stuff that they come and tax, Then on their way home, back from Alexandria, Boom!!! Bang and the negan's gone!!

I thought it was fairly obvious that Rick was grinning because he stumbled upon a massive group of people to help them fight the saviours.

These new people all had weapons, I think that's why Rick was smiling.

For some reason the Saviours have left them alone and allowed them to keep their weapons. Maybe Gabriel is with them and brought them food?

In which case I think Rick sees this as an opportunity to recruit new fighters.

He wasn't grinning because there's a load more people, there was somebody he recognised, that's fairly obvious but who? And who is the guy who's boots we have been seeing when rick and that guy emptied that boat a few episodes back, cause I think it has something to do with "BootMan"

Was there? It definitely looked to me that he grinning at the realisation that there's a feckload of potential allies with guns all around him.

EDIT: The fella with the boots is probably one of these people.

This show is too funny to actually give a proper review.

Also did Daryl just leave Carol knowing that other dude still has a plan to use her as bait without telling her?
And that new trashbag community must be escapees from a mental hospital right?
And Rosita is just stupid. (but stupidly hot at least) Nobody can serioustly act like her in that situation.

This show needs to figure out whether they want to be serious and gritty or just go completely ZNation bonkers like they were in some scenes.

People used to post here quite actively after each new episode, now this thread is barely alive.
I guess even the biggest TWD fans are having trouble justifying this pile of crap.

That new group is actually worse than Negans group. Except they killed people from Negans group first in their sleep. So Ricks group are the worst.

That was a poor episode.

@Sylar yeah i noticed he hadnt mentioned the other guy using her as bait. But he knows the other guy cant do it alone.

The new group look like a cult or something out of mad max, but look really weak and disorganised.

But nothing changes in his plan. With his fire power, he could easily ambush a car or two with a cocktail when they arent expecting it. Then follow out the same plan. Unless its one of those "he told her off screen". Hmm

Yeh, that was a pretty poor episode. What the feck is with that autistic group? Why do they all just act like a bunch of weirdos? What the feck was with that fringe?

This is now exactly why I don't usually watch things until it's finished, because there's always the risk it just drags on like this, getting weaker and weaker. No matter how shit it gets I'll still watch it though, because I'm invested.

The quietness of this thread speaks volumes of how it's going though. I don't even care about Daryl anymore, he's just a characature of his season 1-3 character.

It always makes me laugh how everyone says the episode was boring yet they come back a week later saying that episode was boring too rinse and repeat for the last 5 seasons. It's got us all hooked no matter how we feel. As for that episode yeah it was average but I'll sure be tuning in next week. :wenger:

Btw calling it now that jimmy ( I think that's his name, the one always around the king), the harmless, chubby, always happy, always laughing, slightly dopey bloke is going to die from an OTT gruesome death at some point.

pretty funny episode what with the spikey walker and the new WTF group

are they trying to portray that their language is diminishing or are they just a bunch of head-cases?

I hope not. Outside of Winslow, hes the best acted character in the show.

Baffled. Nonsensical way of speaking.

Easter egg...anyone notice the tractor trailer Daryl and the other guy were fighting next to? It had the same paint scheme as the trailer from Smokey and the Bandit.

This series is way too predictable. So now Rick is recruiting an army and I can bet season finale will be a fight against the saviours with only 1 possible outcome. Majority of episodes were very poor for the past few seasons and some of the decisions made by the characters doesn't make any sense at all.

After Shane, the Governor, Negan and other countless villains, it will be tetanus that leads to the demise of Rick Grimes.

It's the same old shit just rehashed. Governor, Terminus, wolves, different groups same threats same outcome, Alexandria will get destroyed in the process. You know that girl (forgot her name) one who had an whole episode on her with dreadlock dude will take Rick to the women group on the shore and make a deal to get the guns and then they'll fight.. You'd think by now 7 seasons they should be drawing up a conclusion, discovering origins or a cure, know more about the rest of the world etc.. it needs to pick up.

I used to watch this show with no distractions now I'll do other things with it on in the background and not miss much, but I've invested too much to just drop it.

Daryl told Richard he'll fek him up if anything happens to Carol.

They're batshit crazy ahahah but it's post-apocalyptic future so…

Yeah she's dumb but hot.

They already found out how the outbreak started at the end of season 1, and that there was no cure. Now that their provisions and weapons are scarce they can't afford long hopeful trips to other parts of the country so the only thing keeping the show alive is Rick and his group being alive

Yeah I among many others like him he's one of those really likeable characters which to me means he will probably die in a really over the top way. I'm already prepared for it :)

The words I'd generally use to describe the people in that new group would probably earn me a temp ban on here so I'll just leave the implication there and the words unsaid.

That was shit. I am surprised that I keep getting surprised about how shit this show actually is. The writers are getting away with murder.
