Television The Walking Dead

Shame you dont like DOOM, thought it was great fun. Got the platinum for it too

Oh no, I'm not saying I don't like it. On the contrary, I do. It's fun for what it is! I just hoped it would break form the ID norm of shite level design and am really disappointed that the graphics are terrible by their standards. But I'm going to play it to the end, it's definitely worth that so far for me! It's just more I can't get as excited for it as I would back in the day :(

So do I. It's like you're calling them an idiot or something. It's perfectly fine to like enjoy shite. Look at Pauldy & Schwein go in the movie review thread for instance.

This is still a passable watch to me. Much better than it was a few seasons back where I literally stopped and missed out a whole chunk of it. But like I said this weeks episode was a classic mobile phone one in that it didn't require me to pay any real attention to it.

The problem this show has is that it's difficult to give a shit about any of the characters. Characters too who don't really develop but just seem to reset themselves every couple of seasons. It would be a must watch if the character development matched the scenario. As it is, I'm more invested in the hosts from Westworld after the first 4 episodes than I've ever been in anyone in this.

I think that nails the problem for me. The 'fans' bang on about suspending belief and all that, but the writers clearly try to make it something a bit more believable, like the obvious monologues and little backstory segments when a character is about to die. It's not like Z-Nation where they are clearly taking the piss, this lot are trying to get us to invest. And that's why this show is ridiculously poor, because they are actually trying to make it more and failing badly.

I'm not even sure they remember the first season at all, they are just writing as they go and it really shows.

the whole plot is just recycling at this stage. Negan is the new Governor, Kingdom is the new Alexandia/farm/prison - but ... at least there's a random tiger, because ... feck it why not right?

The show dropped by the bomb by doing 16 episode seasons, I think it could've been good, maybe very good with 10 episode seasons that eliminated most of the awful filler.

To be honest I mainly watch it for the killing off of characters these days, at least they give them nice gorey deaths which is only fair cause most of them are rubbish.

Its funny I was about to post how great the map is for each level the other day, until I noticed you say how bad the level design was.

Can you not tell the difference between having a hissy fit and proving a point?

I dunno it sounds like it hurt you a tad, calling people idiots because they can't get into a show you like.

TBH, that episode was meh. I get introducing characters, and I actually liked the stuff with the King talking to Carol and meeting up with Negans people. Other than that, cant think of much else.

Carols reaction to see King Zeke however was brilliant.

Apparently Carole sucks off the tiger for the full 55 minutes in the next episode.

They should never have revealed that Eugene wasn't really the saviour of mankind. You need something to strive for, and the cure was it. Now all they're left with is the repetition of: find sanctuary, settle down for a bit, discover something weird about it, massive shootout, leave it burning in your wake, wait for new series.

There's still this theory(no spoilers beyond season 6):

Had someone tell me the other day actually that they stopped watching for this very reason. It definitely needs some momentum to drive it through the seasons .

My thoughts exactly. Yeah they're introducing new characters/settings/plot lines, but they're actually just slightly different from the last ones.

TWD had been on atrocious form in terms of likeable black characters, but Ezekiel seems alright so far.

Have they fed the walkers to the pigs, to infect the meat, to infect Negans men?

I was thinking the same. What happened to those fellas with the A' tattoos who were eating feckers while our lads were holed up in that church?

Didn't they eat one of the lads who'd been bitten? I forget what happened them though?

Isn't everyone infected already? I don't think eating them does anything. It's just a bit gross.

This.

Plus it is really smart by Ezekial. Pigs will eat anything, so why waste your own crops feeding animals you're giving up? I'd do the same thing.

Ezekiel seems from the begining more clever than Rick is now. I mean attacking the saviours by knowing nothing about them and thinking "iam the man and nothing can hurt us" was the most stupid thing ever. While Ezekiel have an arrangement and keep low, poisen them, and what would be possible: get more information about them to wipe them out with a clever (longterm) plan.

Typical WD, good episode followed up with shite, i ended up fast forwarding most scenes. For some strange reason i'll keep watching, the show is so inconsistent.

Its the time invested in the show. So many years, and seasons and you hope for an end-point and some sort of satisfaction though it will probably never come

Ezekiels men dress like BMX bandits out in the sticks, and then like an LL Bean catalogue when home in the kingdom.

They will all die painfully.

Alexandria were dangerously low on food, and Rick had no reliable alternatives as a source. Ezekiel had neither of those problems. Or, that's what we're supposed to believe.

They ate Bob's leg after he'd been bitten. Nothing happened to them.

Interested in the role of the Wolves. Not sure if they can be considered as allies to the Saviors.

Didn't they establish earlier in the series that everyone is already infected, that is why you turn no matter how you die?

I would have just assumed you would feel sick / feel poisoned if you ate walker meat and become useless as a result.

Well the pigs probably would not care, and by time you ate the pigs well it's not the same as eating Walker Meat. Like I said I think they already established that everyone is already infected with the virus or whatever that makes you a Walker if you die.

I'm at episode 10 in season 6 of this show, and i simply can't watch it anymore.

Too many stupid decisions even by the likes of Rick and Daryl and also the dialogue is so cringy at times which makes it hard to watch.

Even though the action is very good at times, it doesn't make up for all the bad stuff about this show

Think that's it , been watching it for so long now, I hope they end it soon .
