Television The Walking Dead

Carol really grew on me this episode. She practically won the battle herself and was one of the only people doing the sensible thing and killing those bastards.

Wish Coral would just die though.

Not necessarily, it's often a typical tv thing to save budget. In a lot of series, there's episodes the highest paid cast miss. But it worked here.

Depends on their contracts, I would have thought Rick would get paid per season at this point, but that could explain the high action content for a non finale episode, they had more action budget.

This is probably a stupid question, but who was the girl eating the turtle at the start?

^The one that Carl likes/ told "dont say goodbye" @Sied
Was Carl's little bird in with the wolves too she disappeared when they did, the wolves had photos of inside the walls so there must be a snitch of somesort within Alexandria.

I'm sure One of the wolves picked up a weapon and took it after Morgan gave them the "these people have guns yours do not" speech, will that be used to kill a memeber of the group in a further episode.

Funny thing, it didnt click until after a while that the girl from the opening was the same one. But I do have to say one thing, her parents were in a car, how dumb are they to get eaten? I hope shes not a spy for the main reason of it being too obvious (I did think she was going to attempt to cut Carls throat or something).

And yeah, the one that picked up the weapon. Im sure he was the one from the finale that got beaten down by Morgan.

I reckon it will end up with Morgan licking out Carol. Here's hoping.
Why did it take them so long to not get back from the zombie gully?
Decent episode with plenty of action. Odd how the town was suddenly super-vulnerable though with all these 'blind spots' on the walls.
Best not to micro-analyse this programme I guess.

Carol took a bit of a risk with her disguise I thought. I mean it was a clever idea but she could have just as easily been shot by someone from Alexandria because they thought she was one of the intruders.

She's always been kinda a bit of a badass when it comes to killing though.

The guns were all locked away (and with Rick and the gang) apart from that useless lad in the tower?

I thought it was a very good episode. It was well done with various points and highly entertaining. The show is never going to be a Game of Thrones, Sopranos, The Wire etc and has to get it's enjoyment from the violence of it all for me and the ridiculousness of the show, this episode did it all well really.

The Morgan stuff really annoys me thought. I know not everyone can be like Rick or Carol but in situations like the one they're in I fail to see how pacifism can exist. To me it seems like it will be a plot that they tend to do where the writers aren't good enough to execute it and it either drags on for ages or just gets ridiculous. The other bit annoyed me was that stupid kid Ron, he's worse than Carl!!

I liked the egg timer bit as well, showed how the whole think happened within an hour and how mad it really was!

There will probably be a few fillers but it has started well.

Good point on the guns being locked away. Someone could have got there and got them out though. That guy in the tower could have shot her too (even if it was unlikely).

It was a flashback of Enid. For reference the picture below showswhen the flashback took place in comrpasion to now:

The Enid intro-flashback was almost 5 whole minutes, they need to cut that shit out. It's just filler.

What egg timer bit?

At the start of the episode Carol was making some food, she set a timer (it wasn't an egg timer though, my mistake) to an hour or something so it goes off when the food is ready. After all the carnage that happen Carl walked back to the house where the food was being made and the timer went off, showing how in all the "war" that happened only an hour or however long it took to make Carol's food had progressed. It wasn't much but thought it was a pretty good detail to show how little time had actually gone by and how much had happened.

The egg timer made me jump when it went off :) it was pretty unexpected and took me by suprise.

I'm pretty sure it was not meant be that way but it got me.

Yeah feck me I thought I'd missed an episode or something at first.

Also didn't she pretty much say to Carl that she was with the wolves (when she had her back to him) but he wasn't really paying attention? That was a massively wasted opportunity to bump him off too.

Pretty much summed up my thoughts, I really enjoyed it. It was brave to do a full show without any of the main characters but it was done so well

Was glad to see jessie make a kill, I want her to get more screen time I like her and ricks potential partnership.

The last scene especially was so good, the way Morgan and carol crossed paths and didn't even look at each other

Can't wait for next week though now.
The photos were dropped when Daryl and the gay guy opened up the truck full of walkers in season 5. Same episode where they were saved by Morgan.

Fecking Morgan, still hoping for humanity in those animals. Carol got some payback, and Carl managed to get one of them as well.

I can't take Morgan seriously with his Donatello act. What's up with that? It makes no sense.

Has it explained why the woman in charge of the safe village thing has a face that is melting off? It looks like she asked the new surgeon to have a go at plastic surgery.

Rick isn't dying, but it was a good shot to end the episode on. And I liked Glenn, but yeah one of the main characters has to die every now and again to keep the danger aspect of the show present.

Glenn's dead finally! Rick should die but most probably won't.
I think Glenn lives - they'll be all munching on Nicholas and Glenn will survive by covering himself in his crap.

We probably won't see it for a couple of weeks.

I could be wrong...meh.

Had the same thought. That moment still had me in absolute shock though, they did it brilliantly. He's not dead though.

The last two episodes have been fantastic.

^ I mean I know it's been a while since we lost a central character and Glenn dying really would complete the misery for Maggie and highlight how uncertain life is etc etc...

But - something doesn't feel right.

Fantastic episode, another intense one where dangers are around, the way it should be (although some of the dumb fcks dying by being bitten without realising the slow loud fckers are behind them are funny)

If Glenn survives, then its a major copout. Would be BS if his body is covered by Nicholas even though his face is exposed.

Anyway, three really fun good episodes.

Quite funny that the three black characters survive, This is opposite of what TWD has done so far.

I will be pissed if he survives. There's no way he should get out of there alive.

Thought this season has started really well, I havent seen yesterday's episode but it was spoiled all over my FB as soon as I logged in

Looking forward to it tonight.
