Television The Walking Dead

Daryl seriously needs to step up the killing business. Michonne's katana was her character and she decided to left it behind somewhere in the previous episodes.

Besides Rick, probably only Carol has the real survivor instincts remaining... of course there's Saha and the Vietnam syndrome which may escalate into slaughterhouse very soon... hopefully.

Doing the rounds on Facebook. I lol'd.

Great finale I thought. Good season overall really, best since the first season probably apart from 4 or 5 filler episodes.

Damn good finale....Wolves are here....the female leader learns fast...wasted no time in taking out Pete....she truly believes in Rick and what he was saying and understands how they need to be....oh and Morgan is back and has turned into a bad ass!

They have set-up next season quite well. The finale was intense but I thought it still lacked that 'whoa' moment.

I for sure thought this would be Glenns last episode...I knew that guy would try to kill him...almost did...however we never did see if he was bit or not by the walkers....still could be the end for him......btw how did the Wolves get the picture of Rick/Carl and Alexandria?

The guy with Daryl dropped his bag which had the pictures in it. I doubt they'll kill Glenn as he is an original.

they had pictures of Alexandria and its residents (I doubt there was a map though and earlier they had said they were 50 miles away) - must have been left in the car by the gay fella - he used pictures to show potential new people the place as a means of persuading them

good episode though and probably the best resolution - had a feeling Glen would die myself one way or another and surprised he let that guy live after Noah was torn apart and he shot him and left him for walkers....

that annoying priest should have met his end too as it seemed like his storyline was at and end

they did leave us with one big cliffhanger though - I cant wait until next season to find out......

Did Pete wash Carol's casserole dish???

Disappointing finale, felt like it was building up to something but eventually it didn't.

Oh, and morgan is a ninja now.

The last five or so episodes were brilliant. Bringing back Morgan is great as ive always liked him as an actor and his eps have normally been the best.

Sets it up nicely for the next season and hopefully the next season goes at the same pace as the last four or five eps with tension and intensity from the dangers of not only people but groups / packs of walkers together.

Season 5 is over and I still can't figure out where this is going. They totally abandoned the emergency military takeover story line and nobody knows shit about the final solution like cure or anything like that.

Focusing on the characters is good thing but it may become a real drag if they'll stay in that same dimension for the next seasons. Can't say i'm disinterested but now we probably only know that senator may start executing people on sight...

Feck it. To the G.O.T. thread.

Too much was happening in that episode for my liking, it was like 'well we didn't give you shit the last 100 episodes so here it goes, let's continue 5 plots at the same time', so much forced shit in it, just no.
still, will watch season 6 because im a huge knobhead

I thought it was funny Pete went for the builder guy, he could easily have pushed past him (he's a skinny old man) and gone for Rick which would have made more sense

He didn't even go for him, it was an 'accident' as far as I could tell. Which just made the whole scene even more ridiculous.

I think its a fairly clear slice with the blade so they'll probably "explain it" that he's gone nuts and isnt thinking properly and the old guy got in his way. But really I think he could clearly have just ignored him and charged at Rick. Someone could have intercepted him of course, like they do after the slicing, but at least he would have tried to get to Rick instead of just randomly attacking probably the least threatening person in the town

Remember folks, alcoholism can make you a bigger zombie than the actual one.

That TV show is trying to save your life just like Rick covered in blood, waving a revolver in everyone's face.

Oh I'm gonna miss that show for a while...

That was actually a decent episode apart from the usual drag you out moments of silliness. I enjoyed.

Best bit: Genuinely interesting self contained sub plots with satisfactory conclusions.

Worst bit: Morgan turning into a shit Denzel Washington Book of Eli rip off.

Strange, I feel this has been the best season (well majority of it down to the return since midseason break) since season 1.

I didn't even realise that was the finale. The season got better as it went on I thought. It's just a shame they don't keep up that pace throughout instead of having so many filler episodes. American series seem to suffer from that... Too much filler, not enough killer.

I don't think they will further explain it but I believe Carol manipulated Pete into going nuts like that. Her little 'visit' pushed him over the edge, and she knew he'd hit the bottle as abusive drunks usually do. Played him like a fiddle and out of the picture like she wanted in the first place.

Rick knows every grain of said abyss, the shit abyss.
Yeah that was a touching speech from the big guy!
Carole's grown me over the last season or two. Used to think she was dull and moany, but now I kind of like her psychopathic ways.

I think after all the build up that episode was a little underwhelming. It almost felt like it should have been the penultimate episode to me ... like there was one more kick ass episode to come. And I know everyone loves Morgan, and the actor etc, and I know trying to bring any 'reality' into a show about zombies is a bit rich, but I just didn't buy the former crazy guy suddenly turning into a ninja assassin.

The new Morgan is a straight up Book of Eli ripoff, what the feck. Still a great character, I hope this means he's in for a full term next season but turning him into a ninja badass fecking shit up with a broom handle is a mental decision.

A bit underwhelming really after all the build-up, but I enjoyed that season overall. I quite liked the Morgan stuff. After 5 seasons of suspending my disbelief about all kinds of crazy shit the fact that Morgan is a bit handy with a stick didn't seem too far fetched.

I feel a bit misled by all the comments before the finale about how everyone will need tissues ready, and it'll be epic.

It was a solid episode, and maybe since the last few have been good, this didn't seem to stand out as much as the usual finales do.

Now to see what Fear the Walking Dead is like over the summer.

Yes, I think that's the exact same reason I feel a little cheated. The producers talked up how there were going to be shocking deaths and it was going to be an all guns blazing kind of finale. And we end up with what looked like two clear cut deaths bottled and then a couple of minor/unimportant characters taken out. And Carl's still alive.

Yeah, I was sort of dreading who was going to be off the show. Figured they would lose one of the secondary characters...Abraham, Rosita, maybe even a Maggie or a sasha...then one of the originals, pretty much anyone but Rick.

Instead We Got Two Alexandria residents, neither of which were major anyway. Bit of a let down.

Although I realize the way they're heading, why they need certain characters around to fill the spots of others who were prominent in the comics but who have been killed off already

Still feel they over hyped it on purpose though, which was unnecessary since they've had some strong episodes lately. Hopefully this means they'll just be gung Ho next season with less filler, and continue in the episode styles they've had since they came back from mid season.

Good point, she definitely taunted him and helped create the situation.

I didnt even realise it was a finale till I read that here, thought it was the same old Walking dead. There hasnt been a meaningful death in a while, just characters who did about 1 good thing in their entire run and probably the same episode they died in and it felt no different to that

Yeah, tends to happen because all American shows have over 10 episodes per season. Shows like HBO shows are all quality since they stop after 10 episodes most of the time, less time for filler episodes. Walking dead just has way too many so they inevitably fill up half the season with filler stuff.

The old guy (builder) had to be killed off. Now when the wolves attack, they'll sorely miss his expertise to strengthen the camp. Also the drunk guy is supposed to be a kind of a physician right? Hence you can add more drama when one gets injured.

Shoot, I think I should apply to become one of the writers for this show.
