Yeah, Tom Ricks who has known McMaster since he was a major, has suggested he should do the right thing and resign or else risk getting tarred with Trump's demagogic legacy.

I've nothing against public servant doing the best they can to limit the damage done by this administration at the cost of their own personal reputation, but the question is whether hes doing that, as evidenced by the previous fiasco where he lied for Drumpf.

Yeah that's what they were referring to. He's gone out on TV and completely undercut his own reputation by defending Trump's policies, most recently regarding backchannels. Kushner was obviously not trying to set up a backchannel with the Russians, he was setting up an espionage channel using Russian equipment at the Russian consulate, and yet McMaster tried to deflect it by talking about how common it is to have backchannels.

That's what I found very disappointing too. I had some understanding for McMaster's statement after the Israel intelligence leak to Lavrov and the Russian ambassador, because he denied something that Twitler wasn't accused of. That was borderline okay for me. But this Kushner stuff is too much. Sadly, as we can see by Twitler's latest travel ban actions and tweet, his influence on him regarding not alienating muslims seems to not work too successfully. That's certainly Twitler's fault, not McMaster's, but then the question is why stay on this shit administration.

You can guarantee Trump made that statement about Khan because he's a Muslim.

The mayor said that there was no reason to be alarmed by the increased police presence over the next few days.

Trump has deliberately made that misleading tweet to please his bigoted fans who have been posting blatant lies about Khan since this attack happened last night.
