Another example why critical thinking skills need to be taught at school!

US Marines have been deployed on the ground in Raqqa, Syria in the fight against ISIS. Trump's next move after the failed raid, let's hope this one is more successful.

Also....... Maddow has more on Russia tonight. Is she building to something concrete or yet more tentative speculation?

McCain and other republicans want to investigate into it.
I still find so odd that a "republican" like Trump loves Russia.

Well pull your pants up into the $100k bracket, you lazy welfare seeking fecks.

(Republican approach)

I might be wrong, but i seem to remember there was something in the new GOP health plan (or some GOP politician said it) about their new plan being so much better because it gave people incentive to seek higher paying jobs. That statement is just nuts because

1. Apparently, a person deserving healthcare is dependent on their disposable income
2. Everyone can just change jobs at a whim and finding higher paid jobs is the easiest thing in the world.

I swear, the whole republican mindset is built on social Darwinism.

Well I don't look at Trump as a Republican, more like a political chameleon, he will say and do whatever gets him the most kudos. He's been a lifetime Democrat, besties with the Clintons and donated millions to their coffers over the years. He ran as a Republican because he saw an opening and he also guessed he would be up against Hillary, someone he knew had lots of skeletons in her closet. He doesn't like Russia so much as he just loves the power and money on offer from a country and leader as corrupt as Russia and Putin. The oil and gas deals alone could make Trump billions in backhanders let alone the opportunity for more Hotels throughout the Eastern Bloc.

However, the part I do find exceedingly strange is the fact the rest (or a lot of) the Republican Party seem ok with the Russian stuff. That's the kicker for me, they are so desperate to get in to power and to force their agenda that not only will they stomach a fake Republican like Trump, and they will tolerate him embarrassing the party and the country and dragging them all down to the gutter, but on top of that they will also apparently accept outside interference from their biggest enemy over the last 50 or so years. It's beyond insane, and Reagan would be turning in his grave, as would Nixon too. I know a few like McCain have piped up in defiance but they have hardly been shouting from the rafters, more just ruffling a few feathers, but the vast majority have stayed completely silent. I think in the long run it could backfire on them all spectacularly as I should think the majority of Republican voters are not happy about it at all. Maybe just the Trump loons, but the normal Republicans wouldn't like it, and I think that's reflected in the polls showing how many want an investigation in to it all.

.

Except when it comes to foetuses

Regarding Trump's Android phone, it's possible he's not legitimately paranoid about it as much as he's pulling shit out of his ass to detract from the Sessions-Russia controversy among other negative stories about him. Basically giving the news another thing to talk about.

The administration (maybe not Trump himself) knows... They are trying to split the EU up. Speaking to Germany directly won't help, but how about Greece? Hungary?

They'll get the same answer. No country in Europe needs the US more than they need the EU. Including the UK humerously.

Eugenics.

Trump isnt a republican he isnt anything but self serving. All he did was realize one side was bat shit enough to elect him and he acted accordingly.
That's why i believe that if it went so bad for the GOP in 2018 they could decide to kick him out.

We get tax after tax imposed on us by the government, but when it comes to affordable healthcare coverage, they always argue that they don't want to burden people with unnecessary taxes. The politicians have brainwashed the public to such an extent that people believe all of that to be true. Irony here is that those States that voted for Trump rely heavily on Obamacare for their health care coverage. While it's not perfect by any means, it was a start. Payback is going to be a b!tch for a lot of people who will be going without medical insurance in those States.

You wouldn't believe the number of people I've had tell me they'd rather pay insurance costs than a little extra in taxes for free at treatment healthcare. Typically goes something like...

Them: "But if I'm healthy I'm just wasting that money"

Me: "But if you get cancer you're saving $100,000s of dollars"

Them: "[GOP talking point about socialism]"

I agree, I think the old adage will come true here. You don't miss something until it's gone. I also think that with global communication that people are slowly starting to realise that the Republicans horror stories about UHC aren't true. Everyone has friends from all over the world now and they all know people with UHC. They know it's not perfect, but they know it's damn better than the ridiculously expensive coverage they pay for in the USA. I think the people will have the final say now and will start to seriously kick off and protest, maybe even take their votes elsewhere.

Ironically I think one of the main reasons Trump won the election is because of the horror stories about Obamacare and how premiums were going to skyrocket. Many in poor areas were probably seriously frightened about that because he did make it one of his major campaign issues and he made fixing it one of his major promises. The irony now is clear for all to see, I just hope finally people start to see through how evil the Republicans true opinion of UHC is.

I would in all sincerity like to do my own risk assessment. But the govt needs me to subsidize other people, so... I will probably pay more than I will ever cost, which is ok. But at least let's be honest about it.

Voting went along strictly party lines

Gonna get passed, isn't it. Repubs will wring their hands and say "aw maybe this ain't so good" then vote for it anyway.

No doubt it'll pass the House of Representatives. I think even if some of the 'freedom caucus' vote against it...the real challenge, if any, will come in the Senate.

Much smaller majority, if all the Dems reject you only need a couple of republicans to go against to kill it.

Time will tell.

Trump's emissary.

Feel for Americans. They have leaders actively trying to make their lives more miserable.

I do and don't, I mean they continually elect leaders that clearly don't give a shit about them.
