86 means eject doesn’t it?

I’ve only ever heard it to mean kick someone out of somewhere.

Generally means Cancel too I believe. “86 that order” was slang in a restaurant I worked at.

I think it’s been used as “End/Kill” in Rap/Hip-Hop before.

I don’t think that chick is a Hippidy Hop Head.

No not ever. Hip hop's murder numbers are 187, a reference to the California Penal Code section that defines murder.

Wasn’t a guess. I’ve literally heard it. Obviously it’s wordplay 86-Cancel-End-Get rid of.

It’s nothing like popular and I’ll be damned if I can trot out a good example, but I got this in a minute.

Kill em Krit (86)

I’m only being a pedant as Hip Hop taught me the term. I thought it was a Fab track but couldn’t find anything quickly.

Yeah it's get rid, not kill. Not saying it doesn't get used but it is not a specific reference to murder, it can be loosely interpreted as that in hip-hop because a lot of the music has a violent bent but 99% of references to 86 something simply mean get rid of it.

86 is clearly a reference to Get Smart and just made me think of Agent 99

Whitmer doing something like that on purpose just to troll the crowd that clearly thrives on conspiracy theories seems entirely within the realm of possibilities based on what Ive seen of her thus far.

Watching him self-destruct in the aftermath of the election is going to be glorious

Thank you John...

What a weirdo

Only if it is contained and does not take down the rest of us ....:nervous:

True! :nervous:

I think despite all of the fear, American institutions have held up pretty well against Trump. He is a straight up wrecking ball and, while the damage hasn't been insignificant, I do think more credit should be giving to the strength of the institutions and the foundations they were built on. But I do genuinely worry what would happen in a close election...

I’d have said the same.

Then I read The Fifth Risk by Michael Lewis.

Lots of shit has fallen apart and will be a tough fix. He’s set them back a decade in 4 years.

I don't know about you, but when it comes to medical advice, the person that I trust the most is the one who can throw a ball quickly and accurately.

People are tired of real doctors. They want someone who tells it like it is. They want someone who lies and tells people want they want to hear - things like "No Bobby, you can keep eating five gallons of ice cream every day and you'll be fine."

I also really enjoyed that book and think similarly. If Biden wins, a lot of people will spend maybe the entire length of an administration just getting parts of government back to running close to normal again.

And he will be excoriated by some people on the left the entire time for not doing enough.

meh I dunno. i’ve read that book too and it is basically a bunch of interviews with govt officials across various depts. he doesn’t present anything we already don’t know. trump firing them and gutting few departments obviously is bad. But he doesn’t talk about how poor policies, austerity measures, liberalism have paved the way for where we are now. personally, I also find it despicable that he doesn’t feel the need to question some of them who have left govt jobs and have made a killing betting against the govt.

The first acknowledgment of actually potentially losing?

Steve Bannon said:
I'll make this prediction right now: If for any reason the election is stolen from, or in some sort of way Joe Biden is declared the winner, Trump will announce he's going to run for re-election in 2024

or in some sort of way Joe Biden is declared the winner

Some sort of way, like winning the electoral college, Steve?
