Beef consumption/cow slaughter is pretty much banned across most of the country, and these laws have been enforced rather enthusiastically (read vigilantes murdering anyone even suspected of cow slaughter) since the current administration came into power. None of the big international chains like McDonald's or Domino's or Subway have ever offered beef products though.

I think its kind of like the alcohol ban in the middle east and most of the high end restaurants in New Delhi offer steak on the menu. Someone in my immediate family works for Volkswagen was there as recently as 2018 and sent a picture of a tenderloin they had at a business dinner.
The "beef" available in most restaurants is water buffalo. I don't know if any restaurants will take chances with cow meat.
Nope, pork is even rarer to find. Most burgers are either chicken or lamb or vegetarian.
Lamb burgers are available in proper burger joints, don't think chain restaurants do those, but I'm not sure, haven't lived in India for the majority of my life.

Just seen that Trump has put Pence in charge of the Coronavirus. Considering how much Trump is fearing the virus will hurt his Presidency via the economy, I think Pence in charge is a pretty interesting choice. Considering he could have picked any one of his expendable minions. I'm wondering if he's more than happy for Pence to take the blame so he can install Haley instead.
