Anyone here agree with this?

Technically yes but the overarching point is that if Democrats give in over this, then Republicans will know that all they need to get their agenda across is to attach it to a spending bill and dare the democrats to shutdown the government again and again. Its the equivalent of not rewarding a child for throwing a tantrum.

There is so much support from Trump in India. I just had a big arguement with him on why a wall is bad idea and why Trump is a bad president.

He wants India to take a leaf of Trump's book and build a wall between in it's Bangladeshi border to stop immigration! :(
Isn't your president a populist as well?

A wall is a wholly sensible idea. It makes perfect sense.

Unless there are better options. Which there clearly are.

Don’t expect stupid people to understand that though.

America is a disgusting place. The same person will vote for Trump in a MAGA hat then go home and pay their Undocumented Central/South American Nanny a pittance for looking after their child all day.

The MAGA voting block that was enabled, mobilised, and made the difference is a bigger scourge on the future of American society than any terrorist group.

Does anyone else dislike Donald Trump Jr more than his father?

This guy?

The branch of Congress that the Dems control has repeatedly passed a bill to reopen the government in the last few weeks. The branch of Congress controlled by the GOP refuses to take a vote on the issue because Trump will not sign the bill. If 67 senators were to agree to pass the same bill they already passedlast month 100-0, then Trump wouldn't be able to veto it. That should tell you all about who is to blame.

I feel sorry for all his kids bar Ivanka. It must be hard having to fight your entire life to gain appreciation from a loud mouth father who's borderline illiterate.

I thought of that. Me. Nobody else.'

 The replies to those two Tweets are hilarious.

However, it's not really a laughing matter....

People are suffering because a giant man child is throwing a tantrum to get his own way and to use as a distraction tactic AND to blame his opponents at the same time. He's a despicable piece of shit and the fact is we will now probably have to hear that fecking line over and over again for the next two years or until he gets his own way.

She can go feck herself too.

I can help her with the last part. If I get paid now. No retroactive payments !

Under the separation of powers created by the United States Constitution, the United States Congress has the sole power of the purse and responsibility for appropriating government funds. Like other bills, appropriations must be passed by both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Upon passage of a final version by both houses, they go to the President of the United States. If the President signs the bills, they become law. If instead the President vetoes them, they go back to Congress, where the veto can (in rare instances) be overridden by a two-thirds vote of both houses.
Found this in Wki which essentially states that Congress can override a veto by Trump. McConnell refused a vote a week or two ago on an amended budget with the excuse that Trump wouldn’t agree to it. If the above information is correct then McConnell was out of order. Still think he needs looking into by Mueller. Summat going on.

Mitch McConnell is an enemy of the state and should be treated as such.

That's like saying the kidnapper and the person not paying the ransom are equally at fault for the death of the person being kidnapped. Takes two to tango, doesn't it?

Trump is on record saying he will own the shutdown. His supporters want him to own it.

He also said that Mexico would pay for it, he'd release his tax returns, was a very stable genius, and has probably told Melania countless times that he doesn't want to feck Ivanka. The man is a serial liar.

Pelosi as answered Trump .Doubling down on not inviting him to the State of the Union until he reopens government.

The SOTU refusal has probably been one of the best moves in terms of forcing his hand. Nothing strokes his ego more than that charade circle-jerk and you know he's soiling his diapers at the thought he won't get to give the speech in the House
