Not really; it is a stupid remark. Being her husband doesn't mean he is always at home when she is at home, in the same room. Perfectly reasonable to be thanking him for being there, because he could have been somewhere else, doing something else.That was actually good.
While it's obviously good that the majority oppose Trump, and the numbers are an improvement, I still find it remarkable that roughly 1/3 of Americans support building a wall, think the dems are at fault for the shutdown and want to declare national emergency.

I think 538 had him down to 40%, with a steady downward trend since the shutdown began. No surprise, hopefully it's enough force the GOP to make a move behind the scenes.

He's likely starting to head back down into the 30s due to the shutdown. CNN just released their poll which has him at 37, which is pretty low.
