20+ minutes of Steve Bannon on breakfast telly here.

Contrast between this and the Sadiq Khan interview the other day/99% of his other interviews was ridiculous. Morgan constantly interrupts them, not letting them get a word in edgeways then he sat silently through what Bannon said, basically worshipping him.

At least Susanna Reid is calling Morgan out for his hypocrisy, crying about the Trump protests.

Here's the twitter feed for #GMB. Bannon interview started around 7.30am BST/6.30am UTC, maybe earlier as I missed the start of it.

It's like the 'Emperor's New Clothes'

When will the US wake up to the fact that he is a moron?

How come they found it easy to impeach Clinton but they can't seem to mount anything against this guy?

Truly staggering.

Come on USA fecking do something!

If you don't he will think he is God - if he doesn't already.

Power corrupts and ......

But,but, but The special relationship. Trump as shown if there was any doubt that he is doing Putin's bidding, bashing NATO ,bashing May for what's looking like a soft Brexit and praising Boris Johnson Farage who want to see the destruction of the EU.

The USA will do nothing and Trump will win another term with a landslide imho

Mueller is the saviour of the universe.
America will never rcover from voting this clown.

Love how the Sun is trying to undermine May by interviewing Trump just because she isn't doing what the hard Brexit supporters want.

To be fair it's a massive scoop for the paper to get an interview with Trump regardless - the fact he said all that stuff is just a bonus for them.

As if Boris didn't know this interview was happening before he resigned. Nigel too. The same mutherfeckers who claimed Obama should keep his nose out of BREXIT.

Nah - Trump has been tweeting this stuff for months - it's just the same stuff he has been saying.

A parade of clowns on both sides of the Atlantic fighting tooth and nail to be the face of the dictionary definition of "Craven".

Witness the deep state in action. Touching happens all the time at the gentlemen's ballet. This is targeted to discredit her claims against the adulterer in chief.
Trump is not wrong when he says the U.S. pays more than its fair share. After all, the rest of NATO’s members combined spent less than half of what the U.S. budgeted (in absolute terms).
sort of yes but also kinda no
The commitment is to pay 2% - he can justifiably claim that many countries have undercontributed against this commitment - however the fact that the USA spends almost double this commitment should not of course oblige others to follow
He is now saying all nato countries should contribute 4% of GDP to defence spending - now to put that in perspective hardly any countries currently spend more than 4% GDP on defense

If any good can come out of this orange baby presidency, it is for the UK to realise what utter, one-sided bollocks the 'special relationship' is; although I fear Brexit has increased the UK's neediness for the special bollocks.

We depend on the relationship but America doesn't - they can make other important allies in Europe if they want. The UK is and always has been the poor relation.

That was the obvious flaw in Brexit. By sticking up our fingers at our neighbours we became even more reliant on America at a time when they were going to dick us over.

He'll only be justified in claiming that if he's speaking 6 years in the future given the agreement is members will aim to spend 2% by 2024.

Think you will find that is the main reason Trump won. He not only acknowledged that he said he would deal with it.

The Dems are probably worse than the Republicans at this. They seek power at all costs. Have done very little for the people, make the poor very dependent on the state and refuse to tackle the hard issues. Every big issue of today has been around for many years and both sides have done little to address them - as the issues are divisive, so the politicians do nothing.
I am yet to meet a government that is not corrupt. Power is all they think about.

He is also arguing that the Nato members appear to be making very little effort to get to 2% by then. As argued on here and the media it will not happen over night so one would expect gradual increases to the 2% level. If the pressure is not kept on in 6 years time you will end up with many not having honoured their commitment.

Most issues that feck Americans over and even more so the rest of the world are rarely debated because both parties and their sponsors agree on them. It's the same few issues on a loop.

You know what is a Shit show at present

The Orange Baby Trump Blimp.

It is tiny

Which is exactly what's been happening. Defence spending by NATO countries has increased every year since 2015 going up over 5% last year and a little under 4% this year. A couple of countries (Germany) need to step it up but in general members are complying.

Trump's pulling one of his favourite tricks here - fabricate a problem and then claim his actions have solved it. It's smoke and mirrors to maintain the illusion of competency and authority for his supporters. Anyone with even a loose grasp of the facts understands it's all bluster.

Yeah, I often think of Brexit as analogous to a kid running away from home to seek independence only to end up with a pimp.

Trump supporters believing facts, I'd rather bet my life savings on the Earth being flat

What an absolute cnut. Wish someone challenged him on his fecking behaviour
