Thank you.footballdatebase.eu, though it is not 100% accurate
Data for modern players should be accurate. You may want to check with @GioThank you.
transfermarkt is it valid also?
Footballdatabase.eu does work up to a certain point, though. For very old players, they lack data, so it is not as easy to find out about them.Data for modern players should be accurate. You may want to check with @Gio
footballdatabase.eu has been used in previous drafts
Same goes for Wiki. I have seen old players with "?" number of appearanceFootballdatabase.eu does work up to a certain point, though. For very old players, they lack data, so it is not as easy to find out about them.
The one thing I'm relieved about is that my Netto pick isn't void anymore. His 54 caps makes him ineligible for this round, so at least, that pick's not nullified in any way.
Of course. For very old/obscure players, it's best to show multiple sources to prove the statistic. Speaking of which, @Gio and the committee, who has the responsibility to prove that a player's the correct pick: the draft manager or the committee?Same goes for Wiki. I would look for few other sites to prove the player meets the given criteria, and check with the draft mods just to be sure
My wording was horrible in that post, and I apologise for that. Of course I'm super happy with Netto, even if the more glamorous names got away. How did you come to that conclusion? Even if you had got Puskas, it'd hold good, right?
Netto is a great player. If you put him in the right formation, he'd be excellent. You don't have to justify that pick.
Interesting. I have a feeling if my first pick gets blocked, I may come to your player somehow...Pick submitted.
Now I'm praying so hard that I get a Pass here. I so so want this player.
I think we all picked players with at least 30 caps ( just a hunch, though). My wording was horrible in that post, and I apologise for that. Of course I'm super happy with Netto, even if the more glamorous names got away.
What I meant to say is that, by picking Netto, who had 54 caps for the Soviet Union, at least the pool's one player larger for me to pick. I know it sounds really dumb, but I find that microscopic advantage cool.
No, you're correct. All of the players from Round 1 had more than 30 caps, which makes this current pool quite good and open.I think we all picked players with at least 30 caps ( just a hunch, though).
Anything doubtful I'd expect the manager to back it up. We will check but where there are conflicting sources a strong case needs to be made.Of course. Good luck sporting him in an all time draft. The one CB drafted last round, Vidic, would eat him for lunch and there's many more to come.Milan Baros is too good to be a sheep
He had seven seasons in the Premiership and Ligue Un and never once managed to get into double figures. His international record is good in fairness.Milan Baros is too good to be a sheep
Milan Baros is too good to be a sheep
I think he's an awful sheep to get. Liverpool player, not that good, pretty cnuty looking with a pretty poor club career. All he's got going for him is Euro 2004, same as Charisteas, a tournament best remembered for big teams choking and Greece winning.Milan Baros is too good to be a sheep
I agree with Chester and don't think there is any reason to play him in that role.
He would be much better as one of the wing forwards in that formation - Which IMO is the harder role to recruit for so it's a good thing.
This is the side me and @Thisistheone made with a similar theme in mind:
Couldn't handle Romario and Rivaldo though. What a team that was mate!

Nah, lovely, almost perfect 4-3-3 that.
What a team that was mate!
I think Baros is a fine sheep though given we're sporting an all time draft here.
Name n' shame, shake n' bake.Just two more managers to submit before we get the results.
No doubt about it. He's going to be a hard-sell. It's like you say, the category isn't one that allows for truly terrible players. Baros is as good (or rather as bad) a sheep as it gets.
Is there any realistic chance that anyone would pick Baros voluntarily in any sort of draft? Scraping the bottom of the barrel in a Euro draft - maybe. But that would be it.
Was he picked in Balu's Euro draft, BTW?
Yes, by yours truly. Was he picked in Balu's Euro draft, BTW?
Yes, by yours truly.
Also knocked out Van Basten on the other end. https://www.redcafe.net/threads/the-euro-draft-round-1-aldo-vs-skizzo.403659/
feck off.
My favourite team that I've been a part of drafting - really tough theme to pull off and we did really well to stick to it!
Deserved to win IMO
Fair point. Missed that bitTo be fair it's a tricky criteria to pick a sheep for - someone who was nominated for a Ballon d'or by definition isn't going to be completely useless.
I think Baros is a fine sheep though given we're sporting an all time draft here.
Yes, slip here and expect no mercy.Should be easy finding truly horrible sheep for this round...
But then again, you'd have to be more than a little unlucky to actually end up sheep'ed here. The pool is huge, after all.

Results will come as soon as the final pick is in from@Pat_Mustard.@Gio sent my pick couple of hours ago.
Results coming tonight? Cause if it is a block(which will probably be) have to do some research
