I'm actually really curious what other people have picked this time...

As much as my brain's telling me to regret this pick, I think this player will prove to be my key player in my team. I'm still trying to fight those regrets, though...
Doesn't surprise me that I failed. Was one of the obvious ones. Probably the best pick this round. Wouldn't surprise me if the other lads failed with the same pick.

Pick submitted. Never went safe. Might suffer for it. Probably will suffer for it.
There's a huge pool of quality players for this round. You should be able to get at least one unblocked pick from this pool of players.
Depends how adventurous people got with later picks. It's always a risk going for a top tier player on the third pick, regardless of how big the pool is.
There are quite a few gems this round though, and if some managers picked players from off the beaten path, it leaves plenty to choose from.
In terms of top-tier players, it's obvious that they'd get taken at Round 1 or blocked, but otherwise, there are still large pool of top-quality players who are close to the top tier.

I should yes but then again I have no idea what the other 12 of the 13 picks were. The pool isn't that huge. Mostly younger players playing now.

I got at least 10 older players that haven't definitely been picked but I don't know much about them and I can't seem to find a lot of literature on them so therefor I can't really pick them.
There's always something on them. Can be tricky sometimes depending on how far back you're going though. Our pick will be fairly research intensive, but that's half the fun. Sometimes

Eh, that's a part and parcel of these drafts. Sometimes, you need to look deeper to find some more info about them. It's part of what makes these drafts so much fun as you get to learn about players that you've never thought existed.
Some are easier to google than others. Especially if they've got nothing besides being a player.

That was the thinking behind this round - to shine the light on some of the great players, mostly from pre-European Cup or pre-TV age, who qualified because there were fewer international games, because they played for multiple national teams, or because they were mavericks who fell out with the NT boss. And at the other end you had the chance to bring in an emerging star from this generation.
