Should have won it in the first half really but after a really poor second half showing and the inevitable goal from Chadli I don't think a point was a terrible result. Away to WBA is always tricky.

The bigger concern is Alderweireld, that didn't look good.

Fair play to Albion but blimey time wasting at home from the first minute could be deemed as a bit negative.

It is the natural order for Pulis, they like him at first because he brings stability and guaranteed PL football but eventually they grow sick of his god awful football.
The football is honestly soul destroying.

I watched a WBA game earlier this season when they were playing Boro at home, and they looked content with a point from the first minute.

I'm grateful for Crystanbul, but I'd hate having a manager like him at my club.

Its Tony Pulis.

Even the WBA fans are fed up with his negative football.

To be fair Foster saved them first half but in the end they probably deserved their point.

But I couldn't watch that at home 19 times a season.

As for us although we didn't play well second half we responded really well to conceding and at least the point keeps tge momentum going. However Aldrweireld didn't look good and we will be sweating in that diagnosis.

So no Kane and Aldeweirald for our cup game. Is the perennial sick note Dembele also out?

We're going to play mostly our youngsters. But - not that it matters - Dembele is back (came on as a sub today).

Fair enough. That means Dembele will likely start. I'd be shocked if we don't play Ings, Origi, Lucas, etc. Depending on how serious Poch is likely to treat this game.

Poch has already stated this will be a game for the youngsters, Dembele won't play for sure.

It will be the likes of CCV, Onomah, Winks, Carroll and maybe even Marcus Edwards.

Pochettino has said re. Alderweireld's injury at the weekend (which looked bad): ""We need to wait for the scan but we believe it's not a big issue." Great news.

Although the table looks good for them, they're actually worse off than last year in regards to results in the same fixtures.

They're 2 points worse off, so they're on to finish on 68 points.

Not that it means much, the table changes every year, but it's a fair reflection IMO. Sure some fans will disagree.

Not sure how that's the case as we didn't even play Middlesboro last season.

You substitute a relegated team for a team that got promoted.

Winners of Championship - 18th in prem
Runners up - 19th
Play off winners - 20th

Middlesbrough would be compared to your Norwich results. Which you won both last year.

He probably means in terms of equivalent teams/fixtures given the promoted/relegated teams.

Two draws in our last 2 league games isn't great, but not terrible either seeing as they were both away games. But now we have 2 home games up next.

Oh I see, I think that's pretty much a nonsense, we list twice to Newcastle last season, I'll give anybody decent odds that we won't lose twice to Burnley this.

We're doing ok, I'd say that was our weakest 90 of the season so far but we were still not bad and restricted them to one effort on target.

I think I'm right in saying that Atletico Nadrid of the only team in Europes major leagues with a better defensive record than us.

the defensive record is impressive....

at the same time I'd say those results against Newcastle cost you the league last season.....you had a similarly impressive defensive record then

Spurs were and are a match winner away at the minute and I think you might well draw too many this season

I understand what you are saying but the second Toon loss was the last game and largely irrelevant.

We haven't quite clicked in the last third yet but we seem only a fraction away from doing so, if we can achieve that then we'll have a decent season.

They've struggling a bit recently and we're also quite lucky in the last two games. Should've had a penalty against them in the cl and about two red cards today as well.

We remain unbeaten and still have not conceded a goal in the league in open play. Our defence is probably the best in the league. - that's the good bit. Aside from that we are not in good form at all, we are struggling to create chances.

Then by @Dante logic you will win the league. :)

Where's Harry? Injured presumably but for how long? Clearly missing him and his goals.

Janssen has looked v average off the back of a very good season in Holland, there's a pattern emerging with those sort!

I'm rarely, if ever, in this thread and I find myself laughing at that guy saying Spurs would poach one of Shaw or Martial from us.

Sissoko is going to get a 3 match ban, still can't understand why Spurs spent so much on him. Think if they had spent that money on an attacker they would have been genuine title contenders

Your intensity will fade as the season goes on and you don't have the quality within your squad to rotate and stay at the highest level.

I think CL will really take it's toll on you coupled with the demands of trying to mount another title push.

I think the fact we are playing so well without 2 of our absolutely key players from last season (Kane and Dembele) proves that we now have the strength in depth in our squad that was lacking last season.

We had no CL football to deal with last season but we did have EL football - also we just played in Moscow last week (and won) then came back and faced the most highly rated team in the Premiership and beat them, so far so good I'd say.

Don't have the quality within the squad?

Aren't we picking up these results without some of our best players? Like Kane, Dembele, Dier, and Rose.

Just thought I'd pull this back up as your own manager is now telling you what I was trying to...

Mauricio Pochettino: Tottenham need depth...

We are still not the finished article obviously. We do have much better strength in depth though, we have lost Kane and Toby, our two best players and ok we are struggling a bit but we are still unbeaten in the league. Most clubs in the league would struggle without their two best players don't you think?

The one thing we are missing is a player who can regularly create chances, a player with guile.

There are also interviews where Poch has praised our depth, it's nothing more than an instant reaction to a draw where we did look sluggish in the first 20 minutes, which is what he was referring to.

Tottenham are currently undefeated and are only going to get stronger in the second half of the season.

Definite title challengers for me

Also, Wanyama, bloody hell! What a player! Looked like a Dad playing against his Son against Wilshire

Goals are going to be the biggest problem, when you start picking up too many 0-0s or 1-1s it can seriously hurt league standing. Only scored more than a single goal 3 times in the league this season I think. You can add Bayer CSKA and Monaco to that too.

I thought that was Eriksen but he was very quiet yesterday, as was Alli and Lamala put in a lot of effort that lacked in quality. Nobody actually stood out for you (in a positive way) yesterday.

You mean when all the Euro matches kick in (if they come 3rd in their group then it'll be the EL instead of the CL and that's even worse) ? Or when the injuries mount in their squad, which lacks depth according to Poch ? Of course they could finish 4th in their CL group (unlikely) and avoid injuries (no-one ever does - except Chelsea it seems) but then they're wishing on a prayer aren't they ?

All the Euro matches? We've already played half of our group matches, we've also already had plenty of injuries and the suspension to Dembele.
