Surprised at reports about Rose wanting a move. I thought he was Pochettino's pet?

It's bullshit. He's just had surgery as well Varun.

Ah yes, forgot about that. Can't see him moving this summer, makes sense to stay and get in top rhythm again than risk a new environment.

It'd be hilarious if they finish with 86 points, the best defense in the league, the best attack in the league, but still only 2nd. That'd be such a Spurs thing to do.

It's only gone and happened.

Best attack, best defence, most prolific striker and a final total of 86 points. But still only the bridesmaids.

Possibly the most Spurs thing they could have done.

Did you call that at the start of the season?! Fair fecking play if so!

The most Spurs thing ever was missing out on a CL spot because a German team lost on penalties, IN GERMANY.

Even worse for you lot was the fact that the rule was changed a couple of years later, meaning that if it happened now you'd get into the CL...barring an English team also winning the EL of course.

Congrats Spurs.

Best attack, best defense, best goalscorer, best manager - and best everything according to themselves. But yet again a season where they are not remotely close to winning a single trophy. Weird.

Spurs have the 4th highest GD in PL history, and the highest to not win the league. That's pretty fecking Spursy.
Well this Chelsea side nearly broke the all-time PL points record. Hard to beat that as Spurs.

I just saw the final table:

Spurs have...

scored the most goals
conceded the fewest goals
biggest goal difference
lost the least games

Poch is doing a great job with his personnel.
I do wonder what he could do if he had MUFC's transfer kitty.

The good news for MUFC fans is that Spurs won't be playing any home games next season, so I don't expect them to be challenging for the title while this is the case.

The team of the season in my opinion.

They play such entertaining football with a very young and talented quad of attacking players. The understanding between Son, Alli, Eriksen and Kane will keep getting better.

I think they are the team to beat next season.

Poch is probably still my favourite manager. Has been since Fergie retired, and was 2nd when the great man was in charge. I'm very interested in seeing how he does next year with an, you'd think, improved squad, and being at Wembley. It's amazing that after the season they've had, they still didn't win anything.

If Spurs win the title next season, that would be a great story of success. I don't think they will though.

Superb season. Shame about the FA cup, I thought that was a real winnable trophy for you this season. Next season is the real test, I think you have to win something next season, or a few of your players will be off.

Worst moment of the season for me :(

Title was never really on because of October/November so when we lost to West Ham I wasn't really upset, but I thought we had a real good chance at winning the FA.

I don't think we will lose many players if we don't win anything next season either, and as long as we have another good season we will be optimistic moving into our new stadium. You're free to disagree of course, but from what I've seen of Levy I highly doubt we'll see a mass exodus, and I also doubt we'll lose some of our 'star' players except under special circumstances and for big money, most likely abroad. Maybe I'm too optimistic, time will tell :)

Finishing the season with 12 wins out of 13 in the league is an incredible record and a good rebuke to those who say Poch's team will always collapse near the end of the season. Also good to see the players learn from last season and carry on even when we were literally locked in position and couldn't move up or down any more.

I'm excited about next season and to see whether we can keep on improving.

Yeah, I think you were pretty unlucky in the match as well, just came up against a Chelsea where everything was going their way.

I think it depends how you don't win anything, I guess. If you have a campaign in the league like us this season, I think you may have a couple of people looking to get paid more somewhere else. I do agree there is a hell of a lot to be positive about though at Spurs, I would just hope you invest suitably this summer as I think you missed an opportunity last summer.

I dont think losing key players would be a worry for spurs. They might lose at best a player each summer but will be able to fill in that space from the reserves. The irreplaceable ones like Kane and Alli will probably be retained at any cost like the dippers did with gerrard for all those years.

That said, they wont win anything since United and city will blow the competition away in the transfer market this summer.

Feel for spurs a bit, they had a brilliant season. What a manager Poch is, forward thinking, attack minded coach. Cant think of any game they set out to defend and counter their opponent. Refreshing to see a team go toe to toe with anyone they face.

13 goals in last 2 games was it?

Yep and both away too...

Didn't end up with a half bad away record in the end.

All of this is such a far cry from seasons when the most interesting things were whether we'd manage to sneak into the top half or end up with a positive goal difference.

Not a bad difference. Just need the trophies now!

Just need to hang onto players first.

Aye, that's the benefit of having a top manager. A system that has only few irreplaceable components with the rest being replaceable with minimal drop in quality of the overall team. I'd back Pochettino to deliver that.

They're pretty safe imo. Their key players like Alli, Kane, Eriksen aren't good enough for the like so Real, Barca etc to get involved yet. I don't see any of the top PL clubs selling their best players to each other so it'd only be players like Walker who could possibly leave. 30mil+ for him with Trippier ready to take his place is a good deal for them. Ditto if we spunk 40mil+ for Dier.

Kane and Alli will be bid on this summer id say
