Unbelievable stupidity from Spurs so far. I'm amazed MP has not sorted out the left hand side 40 minutes in.

Makes you appreciate how pro active JM is.

Suicide football by spurs, this game should be over already. Surprised at the open approach at Anfield. Tactically naive from Poch, it really has been kamikaze stuff.

Losing Rose and Vertonghen definitely cost them, it seems we will have to stay in 6th for now.

Spurs being Spurs. Absolutely decimated by Liverpool in that first half. Should be losing by much more. Terrible, terrible performance.
Ben Davis should just quit football, now.

Think that's harsh on him. He's been sold up the river by Son and some very poor tactics by MP.

This would be a better result for us as it brings the rest closer.

League position doesn't matter till May.

Son's defensive work rate is abominable. If he tracks back in the 2nd half it'll be the first time.

Also on the 2nd goal obviously a terrible mistake from Dier, but Wanyama didn't exactly kill himself to get back. Was fairly surprised by his effort there.

They're forever like an underbaked vanilla cake. Looks good, smells good, but falls flat and crumbles under the smallest bit of pressure.

No matter how good the squad is, their weak mentality keeps them a significant distance away from the title.

They were this garbage against us as well. Definitely an area of concern but if they keep winning their home games against the big teams then I guess its not that bad.

Ben Davies was on a hiding to nothing. Son offered no help and being up against a rampant attack that's a disaster.

This is the problem when you play the same players though. Their first eleven is good but beyond that the depth is noticeably poorer in ability and lacks match rhythm. Winks is a decent young midfielder but never should be first sub.

Aye, they have an issue playing away in the tough games.

Having said that, I expect Spurs to go on a run of results now. They have a pretty decent fixture list until the final few weeks.

Pretty horrific from Pochettino. Number one priority should have been stopping Mane and instead of double teaming him they seemed to have the opposite, Mane and Clyne vs Davies for most the 1st half.

Shocking performance from Spurs. I am a big fan of Poch but he was also terrible and just sat and let things unfold how they did.

The fecking blueprint is there on how to beat Liverpool yet Spurs play like this?

Never looked like scoring. I genuinely find them average as hell and said so after they beat Chelsea.

You'd think their season is over judging by the posts in here. They don't usually do well at Anfield and got beat by a high energy Liverpool team. No big deal. Next two games in the league are both at home, they'll bounce back well enough.

It is a big deal though. It's not just the defeat it's how easily they lost. Truly awful.

Liverpool have been dog this calendar year and Spurs we are led to be believed are some magical team that's going to sweep all before them am done yet they rock up to Anfield where Swansea and Wolves in recent weeks have won and turn in a performance like that.

Let's see if he plays a weakened team in the European League. I like the work he has done but the talk of him becoming the Real Madrid/Barca manager etc is very premature. He has won nothing so far and tanked in Europe.

Yeah they got caught out and had a bad game. Bit like us at Chelsea. Must mention Liverpool were very good in the first half as well. It's not that big a deal if you lose away to a rival. They have a very nice looking run of fixtures now so I don't think this will do much damage to their season.

So declining United are all of 2 points behind Tottenham who are on the rise and will only get better. Obviously they're a good team, but it's quite obvious that they aren't guaranteed a top-4 spot by any stretch of imagination.

Their title challenge is.
