Television The Sopranos

Is there a Gomorrah TV series? I remember watching a movie called Gomorrah several years ago, a very gritty modern gangster movie set in Naples.

Love this, shows how the mafia operates at the very lowest levels, and just how scummy they are (note Paulie ripping the gardener off for $500 at the end):

I never saw all the episodes when they initially aired on TV. I probably saw one season then 2-3 episodes now and then. I binged watch all 86 episodes a couple of years ago. Absolutely fantastic show.

The scene where Paulie goes to the psychic and the guy starts to "see" all the spirits of the numerous people Paulie has obviously whacked in his gangster life, then Paulie throws a chair across the room and storms out, screaming insults. Brilliant.

I can't go on Youtube at the moment without being recommended a clip from the show and ending up down the rabbit hole 10 clips later.

Oh the days when I was watching Sopranos/The Wire for the 1st time...the days...

This fecking episode:

"I don't care if he's got a hundred kids in the ICU with arrows in their heads..."

"I did-dint..."

"You're so high on skag you wouldn't know if he had your mother's muff on his head."

Jesus, that's got potential. Perhaps maybe see Junior/Tony's dad/Livia and a few of the other older faces?

Not interested... I'd rather they spin off something else.

One of the attraction with sopranoes is i really dont know what will happen next, with junior jonny boy and silvia we would have already know their endgame.

But it's too early to tell i guess.

I think there's enough mystery around Johnny Boy to make it intriguing, Sopranos never really unpacked his relationship with Tony or Junior fully, there's definitely loads of tension and unanswered questions there. And if the backdrop is the Newark riots that should add to it - one of the Season One flashbacks, when Tony sees Johnny being arrested for the first time at the fairground, is set at that time.

Well ladies and gentlemen, I'm finally watching the Sopranos for the first time, starting tonight. Episode 1 has just started playing. So apologies, I might be spamming this thread over the next few months...

Enjoy mate!

I'd love her to take a poo on my forehead and piss in my eyeballs. I remember jerking off to her in furious fashion when I was young. (17)

She's just so hot.

Would absolutely sink a good half pint of her piss, nqat. Up the fecking reds

Finished episode 5 last night, "College". The first four episodes, in showing us the life of Tony Soprano and his balance of business and family, have been good without blowing me away, but I thought episode 5 was brilliant.

Ah yeah, great great episode that, think that's when most people start getting really drawn in.

Have just started watching this again, seen it all before but only the once and it was so many years ago I can't really remember what happened.

On episode 10 or 11 of season 1. Thoughts....

Really enjoyed the first lot of episodes but found the last couple to be not be as enjoyable. Still enjoying it but the silly humour isn't for me at times, it's no major gripe and I'm still enjoying it overall but I'm hoping for more in the coming seasons.

I envy you. I am about to start watching it for the 4th time. Nothing beats the first time

I remember trying the pilot after so many people raved about it, got bored and switched it off. Then years later, my ex-GF was watching The Sopranos whenever I was over, and I got super into it, then watched it again from the beginning. Even the pilot is better when you know who everyone is and you have an idea what's going on. Although Tony's weird "normal" voice in the pilot is very jarring compared to the heavy "Noo Joisy" accent he puts on in the show proper.

I envy anybody who is watching this for the first time, greatest TV show that ever was and will take a hell of a lot to top.

Still saddens me James Gandolfini died.
