Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Theory time!

Like players who are given different rating based on potential (hence different value between 2 players with same age and rating), clubs are put in different tiers too

Big clubs (in real life) like Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool are expected to challenge for titles every season, hence chairman will give them funds (cash injection) to achieve it

Manchester United (in SM) is the biggest club in this game world. Most titles, largest stadium, highest squad value, so chairman won't give anything extra

Other division 1 clubs may have stadium increase and/or cash injection depending on their success in SM (may be significant less than those real-life big clubs)

Small clubs (in real life) like MKD and Bristol City won't get anything from chairman even when they achieve promotion to Div 1 in SM. They may need to survive the drop for at least 1 season before they can get anything from chairman (hence SM comment about clubs getting financial boost if they continue to gain success)

But that's just my theory. A GS theory
Rich get richer, poor get fecked. That's about the sum of it.

@Damien please threadmark this. Thanks

We basically have no way of knowing and we obviously aren't going to try it so money is going to continue to be a pretty useless resource I guess. So be it.

Issue I see is that money is now becoming a much more easy resource to collect it's becoming even more redundant. Someone could throw 160m at me for Neymar and 2 years ago I would accepted that, but now there's little point. I have had 60m for the past year and have not once been able to convince someone to sell for cash only.

The only way you can make cash relevant is if you remove P/E deals. That's the only fix imo. If people are happy with money being useless then fair enough, we'll continue using the same system.

I think it's the best option for the future. Managers will circumvent it in the short term; by agreeing to sell certain players for cash as part of a deal. So it ends up being a P/E anyway. I suppose that can't be avoided but in the longer term it might become less frequent, thus enabling cash deals.

In the short term; the richer clubs will benefit from it but i think it'll work out in the long run as the cash is distributed through the divisions.

Think it would be better for my club to keep P/E for this season but i'd still support the proposition.

Im up for it anyways, It would make selling of older players easier as you know im getting money that actually means something instead of it just wasting away in wages

This would also make us to play full strength squads in the cups as there is now a fair bit of money up for grabs as winning one and staying in div 1 would net you around 30m

So the only option available is to cancel Player Exchanges and nothing else? You got that image of the settings again?

Transfer Windows would actually be more fun because it gives people haggling a good tool to push the price down given they know that if a big club is selling it means because they want to buy others in. So a smaller club can haggle knowing that if the big club doesn't sell they could easily miss out on a decent player. Would be interesting with the squad caps because it forces people into decisions.

Would also help with scouting as you'd only have to do it like twice a season.

i've continually finished top 10 and even was 1st twice heading in the the last game of the season but have never received a cash injection
why doesnt my chairman want to help

Its pure bullshit pot luck, i haven't a clue how its worked out, i got one and thought everyone below me in the team valuation would get one but it seems like its a toss of a coin who gets it.

Thinking about things, both the cash only stuff and transfer windows wouldn't help the lower clubs, which is what mostly matters in this. They rely on using players in part exchange to kick-start their team.
