Oh and I don't mind which option we go with. Option 2 seems to be winning so I'll throw my vote on that, just to get it done nice and quick!

49k but there is some kind of bug(have sent SM a report too). Mine and MKD average attendance are way lower than norm, RS calculated it the other day. If you take it as 40k, then it matches everyone else.

Until I get all the data in I can't be 100% sure though MJJ. I'm still adding results in to work it out but you and MK Dons certainly look like you've been dealt a shit hand.

Will accept/reject Phil Jones bids on Saturday, 6pm GMT.

Absolutely no idea what's going on to be honest, but I admire the work Redsky has put in, kudos.

I'm just going to continue playing and then hopefully if I do something wrong one of you will let me know.

Option 2
No idea how option 1 & 2 work, have not been following this thread in detail for quite some time now but option 1, however that works out, seems 3-4 players too many for each team as we move further down.

Option 1 is increments of 2 before it goes up 1. I.E.

55 & 54m = 42
53 & 52m = 43
51 & 50m = 44

While Option 2 has increments of 3 before it goes up 1. I.E.

55, 54 & 53m = 42
52, 51 & 50m = 43

Ah OK.

Option 2 looks better I guess. I think Arsenal is slightly worse off overall as it is 46 vs 44 for them comparing both options. For rest, at least it is 45+ which I think is more than current cap for almost all. Are Arsenal and United only teams whose cap is going down/getting tighter? For United under both new options the cap is same but for Arsenal option 1 is better.

Will read up option 1 voters arguments. One of them is Herrera who is nutter so he can be ignored. Other is green smiley who for some reason comes across as a weirdo to me tbh :p

So, I am going in into this Phil Jones available business. Hopefully whoever is the new manager of Villa will be happy with it and there will be a thread going on with title 'TMH's last great signing' like 'SAF's last great signing' thread where Phil Jones name will be brought forward in argument.

Well, if you take your club as an example. Arsenal are 9m higher than Villa and you are given 3 more spaces in the squad. Therefore each player has to be worth 3m essentially in rises to balance out. Getting 9m in one SM season from 3 players is extremely difficult.

The second argument being that if you divide the total by 38 it gives you a rough estimate of how high your wages can be before you start making a loss. So again, using Villa as an example... Arsenal can afford to pay about 1.25m in wages each game and break even, Villa on the other hand is down to 1.00m. So Arsenal can afford another 250k in wages (thats roughly 4x 92 players)

The advantage of having large stadiums is pretty big when it comes to financing wages, which obviously means they can afford to have better quality players in their squad. The only downside to being a big club is with FFP it means they do less scouting (unless they have a smaller core of players).

I see. 44-45 to me seems decent number anyway though. 25 odd players with combination of 90+ first teamers and 88-89 ones for cup works well (at least for div 1 teams) and then essentially one has around 20 additional for future planning which is almost like having another team. If youngsters are bought with a vision of creating whole new team out of these 20, that is all positions covered in those 20, then it should work well for all.

Seeing as they are all rambling on like this is the full forum version of this...

A quick run by on who can get to the play offs in Div2:

Norwich is certainly going to finish second unless Palace manages to make their GD over +35

A draw will be enough for Ipswich for playoffs
(now it gets fun)
Bristol can draw, so long as Plymouth, Hull and Leeds also draw or lose. Bristol will not make play offs if they lose and either Hull or Ipswich win but not draw.
This is the same for Plymouth who are level with Bristol on points but 1 goal lower.

Leeds will reach play offs so long as they do better than Hull and Ipswich.

Hull and Ipswich need Leeds to lose, or Bristol and Plymouth to get draws.

And who is playing who?

Bristol vs Sheffield
Norwich vs Ipswich
Leeds
vs Watford
Hull vs Middlesbrough
Plymouth vs Birmingham

The Bristol City manager called the press together for a mid-week interview to address his teams chances without star striker Pato.

It may have came as a shock yesterday morning to find that we accepeted Corinthians bid for Alexandre Pato considering the form he had hit this season, being our top goal scorer, and top assists in the league. However we felt that with the fee paid we could reinvest into other players in a hope to strengthen our squad, and I would like to say that we have agreed a fee with Queens Park Rangers for Enzo Perez.

We also feel quite strongly about our chances going into this next game that we will retain our playoff position, however we are still anticipating a close fought game as Sheffield have nothing to lose, and will certianly be out to spoil our party!

With a full squad available to us we will name the strongest side we have, which remains mostly unchanged from last week, the only changes of note are Gomez and Jorghino get dropped to the bench after a very poor performance against Leeds, and Pato is out of the squad with Perez replacing him....

Tell you what, i'll take the heat off you by posting this instead:

I did mainly because I started with Neymar and he looked so boss in the Forest shirt that I was like "yeah! Do the rest of the seniors!!!". I now regret it.

N'Koulous expression (which I did 2nd from last) tells its own story. It's the nervous smile of "what the feck are you doing Phil?", complete with head tilt.

Also, one thing I did find out, Leverkusen have the exact same goalkeeper shirt as Nottingham Forest (except badge obviously). Is this common in football?

Looks cool that tbh, What program did you use?

In regards to the poll, I'll go with the majority, The way it's set up i'll never get to the level of the top teams anyways unfortunately.

Division 1
Arsenal (13) - Fulham (8)
Aston Villa (4) - Sunderland (16)
Chelsea (14) - Queens Park Rangers (20)
Liverpool (19) - Wolverhampton Wanderers (15)
Manchester United (5) - Darlington 1883 (7)
Milton Keynes Dons (18) - Everton (12)
Newcastle United (11) - Nottingham Forest (10)
Stoke City (6) - Manchester City (3)
Tottenham Hotspur (1) - Blackburn Rovers (2)
West Ham United (17) - Southampton (9)

Barring a freak result, Tottenham Hotspur should win their first ever title tonight and it'll be a deserved one. Three teams are in with a chance of the title Tottenham Hotspur, Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City.

Spurs and Blackburn play against each other, and with City's game being important in the race to decide top four places (Manchester City, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Stoke City all have a chance of taking the final two places) it promises to possibly be the most exciting end to a season so far.

In the relegation battle, Queens Park Rangers are confirmed relegated, while Liverpool will be relegated for the second time in three seasons unless they win their game by a huge margin and two of the three teams above them lose by a big margin. Sunderland, West Ham United and Milton Keynes Dons all have a chance of taking that final spot with all of them having tough ends to the season.

Damien's Predictions
Title winner: Tottenham Hotspur
Last two places of top four: Manchester City, Aston Villa
Relegated: Milton Keynes Dons, Liverpool, QPR

Division 2
AFC Bournemouth (15) - Plymouth Argyle (5)
Bolton Wanderers (1) - Blackpool (13)
Brighton and Hove Albion (20) - Derby County (14)
Bristol City (4) - Sheffield United (19)
Cardiff City (17) - Swansea City (12)
Crystal Palace (3) - Birmingham City (10)
Hull City (7) - Middlesbrough (11)
Ipswich Town (8) - Norwich City (2)
Reading (9) - West Bromwich Albion (16)
Watford (18) - Leeds United (6)

Bolton Wanderers and Norwich City have bagged the automatic promotion places, but on the final day Norwich have a slim chance of taking the title if they win their game and Bolton lose theirs.

In terms of playoffs, six teams have a chance of taking four places. These six are Crystal Palace, Bristol City, Plymouth Argyle, Leeds United, Hull City, Ipswich Town

The three relegation spots have been confirmed to be Watford, Sheffield United and Brighton and Hove Albion

Damien's Predictions
Play-offs: Crystal Palace, Bristol City, Plymouth Argyle and Leeds United. Think Hull and Ipswich have two tough fixtures compared to the other teams.

In Division 3, Millwall and Charlton Athletic have sealed the title and automatic promotion respectively. In terms of play-offs, Sheffield United and Leicester City have bagged two of the places, with Bury at risk of missing out if they fail to win.

In Division 4 and 5, the only human controlled teams have won the title. Congrats to Southend United and Kidderminster Harriers.
