Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Ben does have a point actually. I didn't look at the finances spreadsheet before doing this revised FFP.

If each club in Div 1 maxed out their stadiums for every home game then this would be the results:

Manchester United - £92,631,232
Arsenal - £76,971,432
Newcastle United - £69,092,132
Sunderland - £65,745,776
Manchester City - £64,487,064
Liverpool - £62,309,512
Aston Villa - £59,608,320
Chelsea - £58,884,116
Everton - £57,415,948
Tottenham Hotspur - £53,208,056
West Ham United - £52,553,012
Southampton - £49,630,508
Wolverhampton Wanderers - £48,653,376
Blackburn Rovers - £48,324,372
Nottingham Forest - £47,568,552
Milton Keynes Dons - £47,467,776
Stoke City - £45,377,168
Fulham - £43,614,576
Darlington - £42,464,544
Queens Park Rangers - £42,326,224

So Barney with Liverpool would have 48 players under the new scheme but would earn a possible £14,740,960 more than the clubs with 50 players (30k stadiums). That seems a bit off actually :/

This is why I asked how you have decided the incremental cap as you go down the list. 1 extra squad space is worth about 2mil for a very impatient manager. You should take 1 extra cap to be worth about 4mil imo so as to keep a balance between very short term purchases and long term buys. 2 reviews will make that much money if the player is right.

Here's the spreadsheet. Noticed that the old formula was wrong so decided to break it down to make sure it was right!

Please note, these figures only calculate LEAGUE games. Does not take into consideration:

1. Wages
2. Transfers
3. Cup Games

Also some clubs have played 19 home games while others have only played 18. So they'll be about to get extra money from their final game.

Neat!

This is the fixed Max Attendance list. Sorry @Damien

Added some Div 2 teams at the bottom for comparison.

Still makes no bloody sense. Rest of the team gets 7 and 8s. You'd think my defence would get crap ratings also unless Oblak plucked the ball out of the air and volleyed it into the net himself.

Leno got a 4 rating in the cup final mate. If your GK plays badly then you've lost. Sucks but thats how this game works.

I don't mind a keeper having a bad game, but in SM when he has a bad game he concedes 4 goals every time. Just really annoys me

For anybody in Divison 3 or below, Jonathon Leko is available for loan, he's 16 and is going to be a superstar, come and aid his development.

meh, I just put an offer in but i doubt he will accept. I'm trying to build a side that will win me the 2nd division title next season. I beat Norwich 3-1 away and they're second so the signs look good.

LB won't sell his players, and if he does he wants waaay over the asking/rated prices. Good luck trying though mate.

Yeah i was going to negotiate on here with him, but if he turns my offer down that's fine, it would have been a luxury purchase anyway.

Alright, following several conversations and checking the finances in greater depth, I've decided to ditch the last FFP and come up with a new calculation based on the clubs finances instead.

The way it works is this:

Each club has a maximum capacity for their stadium. Therefore I can calculate what each club makes in profit from their league fixtures (minus wages). So what this system does is create a table of income (55m, 54m, 53m etc) and then puts a cap next to each figure in 2m intervals. I.E. 55m & 54m = 42 cap, 53 & 52m = 43 cap etc.

In addition to this, each division will be given 2 additional spaces. So Div1 = 0, Div2 = 2, Div3 = 4 etc.

I'll produce the table tomorrow which should make it clearer for everyone involved. But if you did want to have a look, I've done a rough table in the finances spreadsheet (go to column AH35).

FFP doesnt affect me at all since my squad will never get that big
I need to be able to loan out players 80 and under, as you can see my stadium hampers my income quite a lot.
I need those wages off the books

Me and Stain (Everton) won't be loaning out 79s or under so that's 20 less loans to worry about from your perspective.

As for your stadium, you only make 2m less than me in the season.

For those who check the spreadsheet and understand the concept. Can you vote which Cap Interval to use.

2 = Blue Column (AI56:91) and is a kinder Cap
3 = Red Column (AJ56:91) and is a harsher Cap.

Club examples:
United / Cap2 = 42, Cap3 = 42
Arsenal / Cap2 = 46, Cap3 = 44
Sunderland / Cap 2 = 48, Cap3 = 46
Everton / Cap 2 = 51, Cap3 = 48
Blackburn / Cap 2 = 53, Cap3 = 49
Forest / Cap 2 = 53, Cap3 = 49
Ipswich / Cap 2 = 55, Cap3 = 51 (with Div2 +2)
Southend / Cap 2 = 62, Cap3 = 56 (with Div3 +4, confirmed promotion)

I doubt my TV revenue is that high. Perhaps you considered only the stadium revenue, so is understood if you purposely made the TV revenue constant

I am fine either way, although I think it is harsh for Damien to have his cap further reduced by 3. Same goes for other top division clubs

My plan is to have around 45 players next season and not 55-60, partly due to expected rise in my wages bill after winter review, so I am happy even if my cap is reduced to (52+4)

Damien suggested it.

All clubs finances are best case scenario, max capacity div1 multipliers. Then the division balancing keeps an easy step up or down depending ln whether a club gets promoted or relegated. Should work well with the stadium increases SM are planning.

Tottenham would like to pledge their support for no 79 or under loans.
