Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Once my last few transfers come in my team will (hopefully) look like this...

Enyeama 87
Bocaly 87 Mensah 87 Maicon 88 Kadlec 88
Kharja 87 Pazienza 88
Nolito 87 Coutinho 86 Pandev 90
Ibisevic 88

Quite a strong team that, no real weaknesses that I can see, a few good youngsters that will only get better as well

Only transfer that could go wrong is Pazienza, whoever is manager of derby is in for him as well.

Anyone wants to buy steven sidwell(cm) rating 87
or aaron hughes (cb) rating 87
or chris baird(def/dm) rating 87
or simon davis(rm) rating 87

Only for money though

With bids accepted for Franck Beria and Yoann Gouffran this morning, Project Middlesbrough is complete.

Line up should look something like this:

Steele 83 (21)

Cicero Jonathan 88 (26) --- Franck Beria 88 (28) --- Daniele Bonera 88 (30) --- Alex Sandro 86 (21)

Pedro Leon 89 (25) --- Daniel Parejo 88 (22) --- Lars Bender 88 (22) --- Eljero Elia 89 (25)

Van Wolfswinkel 88 (23)

Gomis 89 (26)

And a bench of:
RB Koch 83 (21)
CB Peybernes 83 (21)
CB Kacheridi 87 (24)
DM Airton 87 (22)
MID Machado 88 (25)
WNG Famenia 85 (21)
FWD Gouffran 88 (25)

Fresh off a 4-0 hammering of Division 1 side Bolton... Middlesbrough are now surely ready to take on the threat Division 2 sides have to offer.

Some of these Championship teams look stronger than the Premier League teams! Looks like its nothing lower than 88.

Wtf, my Milwall team I took over is all 81-83 rated players. How are people in division 2 getting these insane teams?

For all you guys chasing some cheap risers, why not look at Rangers...

Gregg Wylde and Mervan Celik, who both left the club due to financial concerns, are both free agents. Young lads (20 and 21) who are bound to get new contracts elsewhere..

From the Championship teams posted so far mine seems to be the weakest.

AN's in particular will be tough to beat with the depth he has.

Pinto 87
Piszczek 89 Fernandez 87 Cahill* 88 Nagatomo 88
Henrique 88 Kacar 88
Iturbe** 83 Honda 89 Gaitan 89
Welliton 89

Think I'll be lucky to finish in a playoff spot.

* could be recalled from loan
** may be "replaced" with a better signing depending on some things

Some of them think they are big boys now but rather than staying classy we keep getting potty mouthed articles in the press coming from the lower leagues.

At least the PL bosses know how to keep it real.

Thats a rather frightening first team AN! strong bench for our division.

I'm a bit disappointed I don't have any 90+ players, as it seems everyone else in our division has at least 1 or 2... but the trade-off for that was that I wanted to get some high 80's rated players on my bench as well.

FAO: Division 4/5 managers...

I might be able to loan out either a RB in Julian Koch (83) or a LB/LM in or Joe Bennet (83) ... under the provision that a) they get games, and b) I can recall should I have an injury crisis.

Anyone got 84-88 players for loan/sale seeing as that is now the standard I need to aim for in the Championship. :nervous:

How do you work that out?? You've got four 89ers... and you've already beaten Chelsea!

I also lost at home to Carlisle United.

The asterisks are important points too. If Cahill gets recalled and I can't bring in a better winger for the time being I'm screwed, plus once the season starts I'll probably feel the impact a lot from any injuries to starters.

Tonight's friendly against Brighton will be a huge test.

That game tonight Damien should tell us a lot.

I have a fair few backup players of around 83/84. AN's squad is scary though. Clear favorites for me.

I'm trying a solid 4-4-2 tonight vs Man City

Butt(88)

Clyne(84) Fanni(89) Zanetti*(92) Filipe*(89)

Zaha(84) Jedinak(83) Lansbury(83) Lamela(87)

Janko(88) Adriano(87)

Subs:
Speroni(84)
McShane(83)
Gardner(83)
Dikgacoi(83)
Wright(82)
Scannell(82)
Parr(83)

*Zanetti LB with Gardner CB if Filipe deal is not completed.

I agree.

Oh and the formation/team I posted above may not necessarily be the formation/team I play tonight.

I may have a few more backup players with rating 83/84. Depends on how the last few transfers go.

There's too many transfer muppets, trying to sign players I want, but don't necessarily need or afford.

Depends what you mean by need. Championship teams in particular will be fairly thin in terms of quality in the squad but will need at least one backup in each position in case there are any injuries.

Looking at these teams from the Championship, I'm a bit worried about my prospects.

My team right now looks like this,

---------------Henderson (80)
Halford (83) Rocha (83) Mokoena (83) Ben Haim (84)
------------------Mullins (84)
-----------Maniche (85) Donadel (89)
Varney (84)--------------------Huseklepp (85)
----------------Kitson (83)

Hopefully got a couple more coming in but I ain't gonna have a squad that matches up with the ones shown on here.

So the league is starting tomorrow

By the way what are the advantages of friendlies during the season? Do players get tired or injured in those matches? Is their any ticket income involved?
Anyone??

did you increase your squad size by buying 60rated players.

This would be so much better if you didn't have to wait 24 hours for your transfer to go through.

I'm such a muppet, I've put in another offer.
