morale means nothing.
give him a new contract next season and his morale will increase.

more players usually results in one being too preferred compared to other when they both play for same team.
When you are going good, you tend to not change the team and that results in less appearance for other, which results in concerns.
once he reaches concern level 5, he will put in a transfer request.

How important is the average age of a lineup, and if a player in the lineup is quite old does that mean their fitness is likely to deteriorate a lot faster than some of the younger ones?

Any reason why I can't put in a bid for certain players? Even if I far surpass the chairman's asking price I still only get the "alter offer" option and no "confirm offer" option.

No, i don't think so, though i only had one 30 year old ever in my lineup. that was Eto.

And he recovered back to 97-100percent, whenever he is played every Saturday & Wednesday.
Fitness drop if he plays both cup matches & league matches.
Since cup matches are on Mondays(don't know about this setup), players won't recover till Wednesday and so on.

Usually i keep a second choice team who play either cup matches for me or 2 league fixture around the cup matches; depending on the priority on my season.

Also i have a theory that a player's fitness is also affected by how much you log in at times.
I have seen managers not log in for 2 weeks & their player condition is bit less than it should be.
So incase you enter final stages of season in which you are dong or a cup final is coming up, do log in atleast one every 2 days.

Have you really surpassed it? If you look in the description, it says "the chairman will accept X" however if you look under it, it also says "however if players are included as part of the deal, the chairman will accept X." Which is always more.

Either that team is unmanaged one with just 21 players, so it won't allow you to take more players.
or
you have an active deal with the same club going on and the game is asking you to wait till it concludes.
or
That club has bid for one of your players, so you have go back to your squad, decline that bid and then place your bid.

Is it better to play a player with low fitness (to improve match fitness), or to give him a rest? Does it take time for the team to get used to a formation?

Thanks. The league matches here are on Sundays and Thursdays. With the cup, that's what I'll be doing. Probably won't see me progress past the first round or two but it is better to rotate at times and avoid players getting high concerns.

What is your experience of the finance gained after home and away matches (away matches in particular)? I've been looking in the forums and there's plenty of experiences of people losing money after away games, but that might be partly to do with them having squads of 60+ players and income from away matches being a lot less than at home.

I know there is some sort of ground maintenance fee?

For the first point, what I've read is don't play players with low fitness. If they're below say 80-90% rest them.

I'll have a friendly 19th, 20th or 21st.

Up for a friendly:
Erik Raude - (Division 3 team)
rcoobc - West Brom

Any advice on corner takers, penalty takers or captains?

Excellent. How much of my first team squad would you like me to play? My first XI is 90+ and then I have 8 supporting players who are 80+

As many as you like. The stronger the opposition, the better for me. I need to see how I'll do against the likes of West Ham and Southampton, and I don't think they have squads much worse than yours.

This is what finances look like for my Santos team.

PS - I somehow manage to accumulate 60m each season by selling, so don't get scared by high figures, yours will look different.
just keep the wages in check

What do the wage caps tend to look like for higher teams? My United squad has a 970K wage atm.

Going to try a more attacking style tonight agaisnt Le Arse. Will be a good comparison after playing very defensive against City yesterday.

usually keep the higher rated ones to take them.
and players with less height to take corners.
but i don't think, the game is that developed to take them into consideration.
it just takes ratings, fitness, form & formation into consideration, i think.

doesn't matter as long as you have budget to burn.
i have 2m wages each match but i can afford it as i have 60m to back on.

You have to judge from here, how much will be your budget in future, if you plan to sell anyone.
how much of that budget you don't mind spending on wages, as i said 60m but that will extinguish in 30 away matches.

Cup matches & i think European matches give you more money even if you play away.

Thanks, so in away matches the only income is from TV revenue? Selling players will be tougher in this league due to there being no offers from foreign leagues and a lot of teams in this league going immediately for the higher rated players, though looking at the forums its best to have a strategy where you have a core first team squad and then quite a lot of fairly cheap players which are likely to go up at the season review which is what you've been doing. Still, if the players can't be sold they'll be useful in part exchanges if they do increase, or keep them longer and sell to the teams in the lower divisions.

i don't know why there have been no external bid so far.
It is usually late if the players on sale are yours, like If i am United manager, and if i sell Carrick, bid comes a little late; however if i put Pedro on sale, Barcelona will bid the very next day with a value around 2m the actual value.

but here it's taking a lot long.

Maniak should log a ticket with SM, and ask them to investigate.

Not being able to sign people who have recently been transferred is bit shit, can't even sign any average players, anyone got any tips? Ive got 9m to spend but can't exchange players

Thanks Trionz. It's good to hear that there should be external bids but like you say it looks like there is some sort of problem here.

Yes, but away cup matches generate money, say if i get Arsenal or other big club, i will earn more than what i earn in home matches.

Thanks again. That makes sense.

What do you mean by 'rising to 90'?

Lewandoski is rated 89.
He scored 16goals this season, in a league which is ranked 3rd in UEFA listing.
He plays for Dortmund, the team sitting on top and are reigning champions.

If he had played for better ranked country, rather than Poland or performed better in qualifiers, he would have got 91.
but for this rating change, he will get a 90.
Which will increase his price as well, so if Burnley intends to sell him later, he easily makes 3-4m profit or more. Not necessarily it will be the case for big teams, as the players' price is low at big clubs as they are surrounded by Messi & Persie.

For any lower league managers, the following are available to buy.

Sam Johnstone, GK rated 76, 540k 18 years old
Scott Wootton, CB/DM rated 78, 890k 20 years old
Michael Keane, Def rated 75, 280k 19 years old
Larnell Cole, Wing/AM rated 75, 280k 19 years old

Just snapped up Pedro. Another versitile player for my attack. Can have him on the wing or upfront. Happy with that.

Why can't you exchanghe players?
because you got only 20 players?

Then sign some free agents rated 60, make your squad go beyond the limit and then exchange players.

60 rated players have only 300k wages, so they won't affect you much and you cn always release them if you think they are wasting money.
