I lost out on Zanetti, so need to compensate somehow. Got a transfer coming in any second now, but none of my other 4 transfers will get accepted/refused until late tomorrow I'm afraid!
 
It was a tense afternoon in Wales this morning, as Swansea-boss was seen leaving the stadium and the club chairman publicly announced that the boss had left the club, and that they were looking for a new boss to take charge as soon as possible. What the Swansea-chairman was not informed of was the fact that Johansen was just taking a ride to the local Starbucks to get himself a hot cocoa.

Johansen then turned up to the scheduled press conference and met several managers waiting outside his office, looking for an interview. Amongst the suitors were the current WBA-boss, rcoobo, as he seems to be under immense pressure already as he's failed to live up to the expectations set earlier this season. The presser went smooth from there on out, but came to a temporary hault when Johansen was questioned about the recent comments from Omar Dalvi. The Swansea-boss remained calm as usual, but when he replied "Who's that?", the journalists in the room was simply unable to answer the question. Noone knew who this Omaralviai-character was, which team he managed and what he supposedly had said about Johansen. Not that anyone was really bothered about it.

Newest Swansea-signing, Buffon, was also present at the presser and expressed his delight over joining the Swans. He admitted that Man Utd would've been a great opportunity for him, but admitted that he got convinced after a phone call merely hours before he made up his mind. He explained that someone told him that "Man Utd" was no more, and that they were replaced by a club called "City of Manchester United", which simply sounded cheesy. He also admitted to have taken part of a recently arranged orgy, put together by the current Chelsea-manager Urban-Ned, but left early as he felt the lack of a female presence was "not his thing".

Both are rated 88 mind you, so it'll improve my squad. Also I need to free up my wage bill, currently I have 31 players, 430 000 total wages and after my transfers that'll go up, and my balance will be down to 300 000 :nervous:

Is there any way I can just... get rid of players? Transfer listing them doesn't seem to help.
Edit: Just saw I can release them for free, guess I'll start doing that.

Use them in cash + player exchange or player exchange deal and you can get signings in. Just don't get carried away like me and end up with a squad of 20-21 players.

It is a straight up player exchange (1 for 1 and not 2 for 1 like before). Drenthe will have better rating than the player he is being exchanged for :D if it goes through that is :nervous:
