Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Tonights game of the day:
Amongst the derbies tonight, there isnt really that many great matches on view for the neutral fan. One might argue that Newcastle United and Manchester City will provide tons of entertainment for those who isnt involved with any of the clubs, but we beg to differ.

The only other game worth mentioning tonight is also tonights game of the day, The Battle of the City; Swansea City and Leicester City.

High flying Swansea look to extend their run in this thriller of a match, where we might see how big a gap it is between the worst team in the Premier League vs one of the better teams in the Championship. Only a few days ago, this game would be a nothing-game, but since then the managers have been busy trying to transform their teams into real challengers. Whilst Swansea have brought in 7 players so far, Leicester have strenghtened their team with potential word class players.

With Spanish players being in high demand these days, Leicester tried to follow the trend to bring it tons of Spanish talents, but due to their lack of funds, they have had to settle with the budget-version of a Spanish talent; Mexican and Chilean talents. With 5 wins out of 6 games played so far in this pre-season, Leicester City is more then capable of causing an upset tonight, and the Swansea-manager would not be criticised if he is not able to win this game.

We have no doubt that this will be a very tight game, and neither side should be too unhappy if they arent able to secure a win.

Expert prediction:

Swansea City 7 - 0 Leicester City

Wondeful article AN!. Shame the same can't be said for another manager in our division..

First the Cahill-Gate, now this article... I think Damo's trying to establish some sort of siege mentality at Leeds, and make enemies out of his peers in the division in the process.

I expect one for the titanic clash that is So'ton vs Fulham, Burrow.

Scrumpet laughs off 'Dirty Damien's shit stirring'

Posted by: Scrumpet . (Ipswich Town)
Published: Friday, March 16, 2012

When asked for a response to Leeds United manager, Damien's article this afternoon, Ipswich's messianic leader Scrumpet answered in typical philosophical fashion. "My advice to Dirty Damien would be to take a look in the mirror my brother, or are you afraid you do not like what you see. For him to lecture me on transfer policy is a very funny joke. If only you knew his reputation among the other managers. 'Transfer Gollum' is what we call him, always desperate to make another deal. Once when my fellow managers and I meet up for a glass of wine we give Dirty Damo a call pretending to be an agent offering him a player. It was funny to begin with but you should have heard him when he found out it was a hoax. I'm not sure it's possible to hear a man's heart break over the phone but that's what it sounded like. It's what he lives for,he should seek professional help if you ask me."

The Ipswich boss didn't stop there, he mused for 25 minutes about the complex psychological issues that Damien must be plagued with but we don't have space to publish them all. Finally when asked about Alex Konstantinou's role within the team he replied "Who? Oh yeah him. Oh no he's very valuable. A key player, indispensable. Once he learns to become truly happy he'll probably play week in week out but until then he is a work in progress."

You guys lack an eye for future. Why would someone buy zanetti and buffon? I hope he retires this may.

Here was one of mine earlier.

Manchester United's star defender Nemanja Vidic has today denied reports that he feels like a slave at Manchester United.

Speaking out after reports emerged in the paper this morning Nemanja had this to say.

"I am very angry with Arsenal and the way they have handled this business. I told them categorically that I am happy in Manchester. I actually informed them that I am happy here because I do not feel like a slave, where as if I were to play for Arsenal, I would feel like Fabregas after a while. Unable to escape from a situation where I never challenged myself for top honours like I can do here at Manchester. I do not like my words to be twisted like this. I am the captain here at Manchester United and have been assured by the boss I am a part of his plans. At Arsenal the boss said he intended to use me as backup to Lucio. I do not wish to be a back up. I am going nowhere."

Meanwhile reports from London are emerging to suggest that Mertesacker and Song are less than impressed with the lack of faith their manager has shown them in recent days, after offering to swap them both with Mr Vidic, whom he only wanted as back up. It seems the Arsenal boss does not trust his players to provide adequate cover, and the notion hasn't sat well with the players involved.

Slave indeed. Tsk tsk.

Sir Solius in Henrique victory

Southampton manager Sir Solius proudly proclaimed victory today after securing the signing of highly rated centre-back Buss Henrique from Barcelona. "SUCK IT BRIGHTON. feck YOU BOSNIAN RED. feck YOU AND YO-" the outspoken manager screamed before being cut off by his PR team. The move looked to be dead earlier in the day only for Henrique to finally escape the clutches of his captures at the last second.

"He kept me in a room, they beat me and said I would sign their contract. Every 10 minutes a large man came into the room and kicked me in the balls. It was horrible. I managed to convince m the guard to let me go with some casual flirting. It is Brighton after all." said the delighted centre-back. Henrique is set to make his debut tonight against Division 1 outfit Fulham.

My lineup..

Hasagic (85)
Bocaly (87) Mensah (87) Ustaritz (86) Kadlec (88)
Kharja (87) Jara (86)
Ayew (85) Coutinho (86) Vicente (85)
Ibisevic (88)

I have two more wingers/forwards that will come in tomorrow as well, a 90 and an 87. If only Buss Henrique came, my defence would be so good. :(

I might be looking to loan out a 90 rated CB if my next two transfers are accepted
