It wont work because you can withdraw from bids later. So the game cant really stop you from bidding until a deal is complete.

United sign Castaignos
Manchester United are delighted to announce the signing of Netherlands U21 striker Luc Castaignos from Rubin Kazan on a three-season deal.
"As a lot of people know, we've been after a striker for a while," said manager Damien, "It seems that every single striker we do sign ends up losing the ability to play centrally soon after but looking at Castaignos, I think there is no danger of that.
"We were a bit concerned that we weren't going to get him - especially with Blackburn Rovers bidding highly, but I think what we have all learnt from this is that nobody wants Albiol. Happy days."
Castaignos is expected to be with the first team squad for the remainder of the season.
Manchester United have also signed midfielder Quincy Promes from FC Twente on a four-season deal.
"Finally we've beaten Arsenal to the signing of a player," Damien continued, "I do have to say I am not at all happy with what he (Varun) has done during this transfer - he really is Arsene Wenger. That is all."

There should at least be a period of warning that the position change is going to happen instead of doing it abruptly like that.

Jovetic and Adriano were given a game off (due to suspension) against Pompey, so they're both chomping at the bit to get stuck in against Spurs! Then we have the battle against United. Some tough fixtures coming for me.
