If I can beat Spurs, and results go my way, I might have a bit more hope that I can steer Wigan away from the drop zone...

Unlikely mind, but not impossible...

I see I'm their 4th manager in 3/4 of a season, no wonder they're where they are...

A bit of stability, and an already vastly improved first XI should see me right next season...

Is that unusual though?

It is. With most of the divisions having the same couple of teams in the top two positions, multiple divisions having the top two play against each other doesn't happen that often.

I also hope to win.

Everybody else, what are you hoping for tonight?

A win would be very nice.

It'll probably help that you've played the game so long whereas the previous managers were fairly new to the game and the transfers they made weren't great bar a few exceptions. You've done a good few swap deals which have strengthened your squad which'll give you a better chance but I think you've taken over them too late. A few games earlier and they may have had a better chance. While the points are still up for grabs it's not impossible but Spurs, Chelsea, West Brom, Arsenal and United in your remaining games make it very tough indeed.

Either way you should do well next season.

With my current form I wouldn't be shocked at another battering.

I'll take a draw tonight. I'll reach 40 points and my objective of getting 4 points out of 3 tough fixtures is complete!

Judging by the sheer amount of players in everyone's squads, its going to be fun once player concerns kick in...

Players who feel as though they should be first team players start getting unhappy, and they quickly go from level 1 unhappy, to level 5 unhappy if you don't start playing them...once they hit level 5, the request a transfer and they automatically go on the list and your chairman deals with it, and it's out of your hands...

Just a little heads up about that...

Zarlak is a tight bastard STILL, De Gea upto level 2 concern for some while now. all he wants is a wage increase ffs

 Only the top, top teams have loads of players. The majority of us have feck all heh.

I'm stuck on 16 points...I was on 12 when I took over...I'd like to at least get to 30 points before the end of the season...I've got a few tough games to come though, but i know from bitter experience that on their day, anyone, regardless of ratings, can get beaten by a shit team...

Really need a win tonight, my fall from grace has been horrendous. How many teams get European football? Was at one point hoping for CL qualification

Top 4 go into the SMFA Cup (CL) and the next 6 plus the two cup winners go into the SMFA Shield (Europa)...not sure what happens if the cup winners also finish in the top 10...

You also have to be a Gold Member to be able to pick your tactics for those SMFA games...otherwise your assistant picks the team, and they are seemingly hell bent on fecking you up...

So a top 10 finish is needed then, good to know. Yeah not to bothered with major progression but the extra income for the group games is a nice bolster.

Also not sure if that's the top 4 from each league, plus random teams, or just D1 top 4...

On another gameworld as Adelaide United I've had to let the ass man take over for those games. Done well so far to get a 1-1 draw away and a 3-0 win at home.

Of course, now he'll lead the team to a 6-0 drubbing at the hands of some no mark team. Cock.

Got a bad feeling that all my new players are going to bottle it tonight...I was checking my history, and you twatted me 6-1 in the first game...

Hoping my new keeper signs up in time to play...he should go in automatically but worried Al Habsi will go out the door, and I'll end up with Emerson Boyce in net...

That's been my only big win though I reckon, plus my recent form has dwindled. Recently lost to Newcastle who at one point couldn't buy a win and got twatted by West Brom.

I do find that the match engine sometimes throws weird results out...

I've been playing in my own game world with my mates for a few years now, and often I'll play someone shit, like Espanyol, and I'll batter them in all the stats, posession, shots, etc, and still lose 2-0...they've had 2 shots, 2 on target, scored twice, and I'm raging to feck about it...

It just happens...

I know, it seems to want to mirror real life in some of the freak results it churns out but goes over the top.

Just gets annoying when you can't string a run of results together, just a few weeks ago I was second in the league.

Anyway, if you beat me at least it's helping you stay up. Newcastle can go down for me so I can poach some players :D

Just two wins in the top 10.
