Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Posted that in late March and he's still not been added to the squad :( Since then both Rodriquez and Santana have gone down to 88. Here's stat comparison between Santana and Gaitan:

Mario SANTANA (88) - Wing/AM
Played: 7
Goals: 1
Assists: 1
Average Rating: 6.86

Nicolas GAITAN (89) - Wing/AM
Played: 8
Goals: 1
Assists: 6
Average Rating: 7.5

Owh, cheers Damien. Forget to look in this thread unless it's game day, thanks! Gaitan has been called up, he is very unlikely to feature much unless I get 6 injuries though.

Thanks! I figured that it's unlikely he'd get game time due to the strength of Argentina's squad but thought he deserved a call up based on his performances this season.

MJJ, that palyer we both bid on is now yours, I've gone a different route and bid for a different player ;)

2 goals for Kacar on international duty today. In 3 appearances for Serbia he has had 3 goals and 2 assists.

In 7 appearances for me he just has 1 goal.

Honda and Nagatomo also played but didn't do anything of note in Japan's 2-0 loss.

Ah you bugger. Was going to try and go for the player you've just bid on in late May (would have been slim chance of me getting him but was worth a try).

Here's hoping I get him. Totally forgot about him I must admit. Stumbled across him earlier today!

I was surprised nobody went after him till now. Same with Jovetic and Banega who were both snapped up a couple of days ago (I've been following all three for a few weeks now but couldn't do anything about them as I can't do any high profile transfers till the transfer bans end).

Good luck with getting him though.

Just imagine Jim White's joy if it were to happen in real life.

And imagine if the type of transfers were the same.

"My word! French international Loïc Rémy has gone to Nottingham Forest! It is a player swap with Radoslaw Majewski and Matt Derbyshire going in the opposite direction"

Negredo (90rated CF) from Sevilla and Rolando (90rated CB) from Porto coming to Newcastle. Happy with Rolando, can slip Javi Martinez into CM now instead of his role of CB for me. Negredo aswell, gives me better firepower upfront and better options.

Zarlak, you really should loan me Hernandez. Look at his morale! I can save that for you.

Not really. I've had Cahill on loan for ages and his morale has barely changed despite playing nearly every game.

Hernandez going to Millwall on loan isn't exactly going to make the player happier /killjoy

I'd be up for a friendly if anyone's up for it?

Happy days.

I'll be recalling him when his transfer ban ends just so you know but I'll loan you some other players in future if you want. The plus point with Jairo and Muriel for you as well as them having a decent rating is that they're currently on wages of players a lot lower than their rating.

I'll never recall any players I send out on loan unless the manager says he's not needed. I don't think it's fair on the person I said I'd loan to to help his team and stopped him from bidding on another player at the time he could have got instead because he accepted my word to help him out. To then leave him short on players.

I'm sorry Damien I didn't mean that just now. You said some things, I said some things, I just hope we can remain friends.

It sure seemed you meant it :(

Of course. What I said still applies though. Jairo and Sala will fund a pretty decent first team player for me. Depending on who I buy there may be another opportunity to loan someone out and if there's no players you like then next season it'll still apply.

That's true. Philip loaned him pretty much out of the blue and at the time I didn't say there was a good chance that I'd be recalling him when his transfer ban ends due to his rating going up so much. I won't recall him but in future if people want to loan from me, I'll make that clear if I know that I'll be wanting to sell them in the short term future.

When I loaned Iturbe out I knew I was going to be keeping him for the long term so there were no worries there. When Sala was loaned out I had similar concerns to Jairo. The manager there ended up being inactive and quitting.

Jairo and Sala were/are the only two players I knew that I was going to try and sell in late May. The rest of my loan listed players are more long term.

To be fair Damien is Leeds, not one of the big teams so it's more understandable. His squad is pretty small and he's already loaned me another 80+ player as well so I can't complain at all!

True, it's just that when someone asks for a loan it's not for giggles, they need a player. If you say no, they will go and get someone else, if you say yes then they take your word for it, and they then don't go and get another player, and miss out on that chance who then perhaps goes somewhere else. When all of a sudden host club recalls the player, you're left short with no options and noone decent to loan because the ones you could have got X amount of time ago had you have known you'd have needed him are now gone.

If you need someone and loan him out anyway, you deal with the consequences, it should be one of the things you factor in before accepting a loan deal.

If both managers agree then that's fair enough, or if you do the loan deal and make sure you tell the other manager you'll recall him in the event of injury or whatever.

Anyway Damiens sorted you out so good stuff.

I'm dreading the moment cider reads the last few posts and responds.

I do agree with everything you've said Zarlak. I did the 'in event of an injury' thing when it came to Muriel and should have made things clear with Jairo but it was an error on my part.

I think we should install transfer windows in this game and loans can only be recalled/cancelled during these windows. Allow emergency goalkeeper loans, but a squad must have 3 keepers.
