Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Tweaked my team a little to face MK Dons. Cant field my strongest team due to their fitness being shite. Hope it works out but unsure right now.

I've got my B team out. Set it so that if I'm losing after 60 mins my big guns will come on. Not bothered if I lose but would like to win of course.

8 changes from my team that beat Bournemouth 2-0. With two to come off around 60 mins. Still a nice average of 85....until my subs

Beat MK Dons 2-1. Lost Pedro for 4 days and Kerrision for 3 days, both now out against Man Shitty on Thursday :(

Beat Charlton away, 3-1. Once again I came from behind to win. Both teams had a player sent off. My 79 rated CDM reserve who I decided to make the captain got MOTM and a goal. Sweet.

Damn lost 3-2 to Cardiff, my first competitive defeat :( Was a deserved defeat though.

Brilliant.

Got beat 3-1 by Milwall (congrats!). Managed to rest a couple of key players with West Ham coming up so not too dissapointed.

Hmm maybe I should have put the first team out, gate receipts and T.V revenue meant I only lost £68k. An away tie again a larger team would have been decent money....

Manchester City have progressed to the next round of the The Red Cafe League Cup.

Yep. Trionz said earlier in the thread that cup runs can benefit the smaller teams - especially away games.

That'll teach me.

I've still got £2.7m in the bank. But in hindsight, a little cup run would boost the finances.

How's everyone doing financially? Mine's looking healthy but will be depleted by a few incoming transfers.

There's still the Shield matches too. I've got a bye in the first round for that, don't know about you. That should be a nice little money earner too. £2.7m is a lot more than a lot of teams outside the top division have at the moment.

I play Rotherham away first round of that. So I'll try to push on in that one, so long as I'm not playing one of the Division 3 big boys after.

Anyone got an 84+ striker I can take on loan for the next 2 fixtures? Need an emergency loan since 2 of my first choice forwards are out injured for a few days.

I'm a healthy 3.3mill. That is good considering I had 3 away games in a row (2 league and 1 Europa) recently.

I won 3-1 against Barnet... but what was really odd was the game seemingly made 3 substitutions that I didn't set, which was just odd, and slightly annoying as it was players that I was trying to rest!

I move to deem the above kind of request as unsporting and as such unacceptable.

Teams should not lend their players to other teams short-term imo; if you haven't built a deep enough squad to withstand injuries and the like then you should have to live with that, it's unfair on those scheduled to play against you if you're allowed to fill the holes in your team by borrowing players for one or two matches.

I need a cup run, and with my Shield started off against a Div2 side, that means it's all hands on deck for today's game against Dag & Red!

...ok, I probably could have afforded to sit some starters.

64% possession. 10-2 shots on target. 7-0 the score.

Edit: Drew a home tie to another div3 side for the 2nd round. This works for me.

No-one cares Cider.

Why not? I'm stating I'd need a player for atleast 2 games, but I'd hold onto him longer as he'd be rotated with Kerrision. I already wanted a striker on loan to bulk up my options from the bench as I cant afford to sign one currently, hence why I loan bidded for your player castignos, or however you spell him, twice.

I lost 2 starting forwards ffs. Who here has good cover for all positions?? I have cover for midfield and defence no problem, just not upfront. And as I said I was in the hunt for a loan deal anyways for a striker so button it.

I'm still accepting any loan player for any period of time. Preferably 83+ and defence. Would only be backup though.

Booooom! :)

Surprised I won to be honest. I've cocked up my player conditioning and had 2 players rated 75 I think. About time I had a bit I luck though!

Division 3 side Watford beat Norwich 6-5 on penalties away from home. 2-2 full time. Fantastic result for the lads, and a great bonus financially! Bring on the big guns in the next round!
