On one of my other worlds I've just seen that I lost a league match 6-2 at home, despite me having 60% possession and a total of 22 shots (17 on target), and them having 8 shots (7 on target) :(

The game's very difficult like that, because it seems that when you do win or lose or whatever, it's virtually impossible to figure out exactly why things turned out the way they did.

Take my game against PSG which I've just lost 4-0 as an example. I only had 45% possession, but managed fifteen shots, ten of which were on target; they had five shots and four on target which all went in. My players were all superior in ratings and played in the correct positions; both I and PSG went with a 4-5-1 formation, their's standard, mine defensive. They played default tactics, I played defensive, short and down the flanks. Obviously getting chances and shots on goal wasn't a problem for me; despite that I'd set my team up in a defensive formation, and I have the superior defence, so why did I lose 4-0?

Andy Polo just got a 4 point increase!
Glaston Ramirez also now on 88!

Was gonna put out a weak-ish team for tonight in the cup but then remembered it'll be useful if I could get the prize money for my team on the verge of debt. Anyone have an idea how much you win for a 1st round win?

Depends if you're home or away. If you're home I'd imagine the attendances etc would be less because it is the cup, and the TV revenue would probably be reduced, but you don't have any wages to pay out so you'll be making a profit anyway.

It's better when cup matches are away.
atleast for smaller clubs, as the gate receipt is split between both clubs, whereas in league it goes to only the home team.

That is true. There are a few clubs that should make a fair bit of money. Looking at the fixture list there is only really Sunderland v Yeovil Town that immediately strikes me as the best example of that (though Yeovil is a COM club anyway at the moment but it should be nice for anyone who takes over).

Signed Manuel Neuer from Bayern Munich :D

I can't figure out why but my defence has been far too leaky this season; hopefully signing the world's #1 goalkeeper will help sort things out.

My back five averages 92 now. It wasn't bad before, but now it's better; I'm baffled as to how I've managed to concede so many.

Poor management skills, clearly. :D

I think it's just a hangover from Mancini's stint in charge; the players have a negative attitude sometimes and that's something I've got to try and stamp out. I've got rid of the main culprits, Carlos Tevez and Vincent Kompany, but that losing mentality still prevails for the time being. I took on the job of City manager in the knowledge that I have to somehow propel this small-time club into Premier League and European success, and I'm grateful for the challenge; even the most anti-ciders amongst you must surely admit that I've been far and away the best manager so far.

I'll try to get Hart once he's available, he'll probably rise 1 or 2 points by then.

*cough*

Just realised I've been mistaking the Morale bar as the condition statistic all this time.... Oh dear.

Wholesale changes for my cup game. I expect a thrashing.

I've had to put out the youngsters in the cup, can't afford to play the 1st team with a league game thursday.

Piss off, you've got Scze.....whatever his name is. I've got an ageing Friedel.
