Can anyone tell me what the "Manager Ranking" thing is that is located in Match Preview > Clubs ??

I ask because I can't fins said rankings anywhere else... and it currently has me as being ranked 1/67. So obviously, before I get carried away with some horn tooting, I'd be interested to see what it actually means.

More clicking around has shown me that the top 5 apparently are...

Me (1/67)
Cider (2/67)
Damo (4/67)
Zarlak (4/67)
Eirik Raude (4/67)
Selbourne (4/67)
IrishLegend (4/67)
WR (4/67)

and there's probably more who are 4/67 as well... I wonder what it all means/ what it's based on.

I thought today was the League, didn't realise we play a Europa League schedule

Shows how many points the top few have.

After the first league game I looked and you had 5 points (at the top) and quite a few others - myself included - had 3 points. For cider it says he's played 3 games - for that it includes the Champions League style game he played and I'm sure when we play in the cup it will include those in our rankings.

A quick search for "best manager" comes up with this and it does say how the points are given out:

So for both of your games you won against a stronger team (worth 5 points each) and in both of mine I just won a game (presumably against a weaker side).

Ahh, so the top 3 are Me, Cider and Scrumpet?? Superb... I'm taking that to the bank! Mainly because I imagine this will be a very short-lived stint at the top... probably will come crashing to a holt after tomorrow's big game against Palace.

red cards in friendlies don't result in bans do they? I got 2 against Wolves. Didn't go to well.

No they don't.

Yep. I forgot to congratulate you on your success too, so congrats! Which teams did you face in the first two turns? I thought your side was one of the strongest.

Last piece of the jigsaw is complete, Thomas Muller will be arriving shortly.

Had 3 bids accepted this morning.

When (if) they all go through, I will have no Middlesbrough players that I started with left in my squad.

Cider has a good prospect if the deal goes through, getting a good few minutes in his league campaign with great reviews. Was watching him but hadnt enough cash myself :D

Yeah, Zakaria Labyad, the bid was accepted this morning; I'm very happy about that.

19yo Fwd/RightWinger with 11 goals and 14 assists for PSV in the Europa League and Eridivisie this season. Only rated 83 in the game.

Cant wait until Irwin goes mental on the transfer market. He has a nice bit of cash with his recent sales and with players available to swap.........the scouse bastard!

I play him today. I am hoping he hasn't brought in any big names before our game today at Klanfield.

Doubt the deals would go through intime by the looks of it. He'd have the cash but not the new players...I think.

Ok, my math's off somehow. Last time I ran the numbers, I had myself as 1.4M in the red. I sold a player for 283K with wages that'd account for about 140K over the season, and now I show myself projected to end 1.2M in the black. Thankfully today's match is at home, so I can see if the revenues change.

How do you get points? AN is winning with 10, which is 5 per game.

There is another link posted by Damien (I think) on the previous page explaining how it works. 5 points for beating a team rating better than yours, 2 points for drawing against a team better than yours. standard 3 points and 1 point for beating a team equal or lesser rated than yours.

Ah cool. I won't ask how the rating works, as I'm sure it's been said.

Yeah, the link is in the post robocop quoted and the explanation is in that post too. The teams AN played in his league games fielded stronger lineups than AN, and as AN still managed to win them both he got 5 points for each. The person with the most points is ranked as the best manager, the person with the second highest number of points is ranked second and so on.

God bless you Damien. Information chief.

Did you work my finances out btw? No worries if you didn't. Just wondering.

I can do, but I don't get why there were no numbers in your away stats.

If it is like Division 2, then for your away game your TV revenue should have been the same as your home (£456,152) and your wages would have been whatever they are.

First I need to work out all of your fixtures then once I've done that I can roughly work out your finances but it's a lot of effort and a lot more than I originally thought it would be, but from what I can see you're fine. It's just a question of how much profit you would be making.

Alright, Swansea didnt really get off to the good start that I was hoping for. Lost 2-1 against Norwich in a friendly last night, but it turns out I was playing away whilst my tactics were set up as if I was playing at home. No wonder I got dominated with an attacking formation and a 3 man backline. Going to go with a more concervative formation against Blackburn today, but I really have to lower my expectations for this team. Was hoping for a top 6 finish, now I'll take anything above relegation.
