The relative strength of the Premier League

Southampton really have 2-3 players who are better than sassuolo's. Van Dijk, Bertrand, and Gabbiadini

And as a whole, they're on a similar level. Nevermind form, sassuolo's season went tits up in December and they've had little to play for since
Sassuolo has not a single player that would get into Southampton first XI. Berardi might have a chance, against either Tadic or Redmond, but the latter is superb currently..the rest rather not. Not even Clasie, a proven national player of the Netherlands can really get into the team. Barcelona is thinking about bringing Romeu back. But sure, Pellegrini would walk in there :wenger:

Seville still had the best chances until they were just one goal down, then Leicester created 2/3 big chances on counter.
Leicester were better than Sevilla yesterday, don't think there's some kind of argument that can be put forward that they weren't.
In a one off freak season, evidently so.
They won the league, they can't be poor.
Tom cleverley won the league.

Tom. Cleverley.
One player doesn't make a team. We've had the like's of O'shea here so we should know. a league campaign is a 38 game competetion, there's no lucking it out to the title.

Heh...Leicester winning is always fantastic but doing at the expense of a La Liga team is that extra bit satisfying given the annoying narrative surrounding La Liga.

I actually think we're going to see a resurgence by English clubs in Europe over the next two year. Chelsea are one the strongest teams in Europe already. Hopefully United will be revitalized next year, City will only strengthen and, who knows, Arsenal without Wenger might actually do better in Europe.

How you work out Chelsea are strongest?

City qualifying tonight would be a huge statement win. Unless they lose, then this game does not count.

 one PL team left in the CL and one in the Europa.

What a mighty league it is.
It is only because the teams are concentrated in the league in order to quality for Europe next season. If they wanted to, they would have been winning in Europe.

Wumminater must be very sad in these moments, crying about City's defeat. He just won't show up. The GlastonSpur of EPL.

Football results do not matter. City team was more expensive plus Wumminator does not even know half Monaco players which means City are much better anyway.

Of course it doesn't count. I know all City's players, but I know only 8 players from Monaco. Also, City spends more money than them. So City are better.

Almost forgot to mention that I do not watch Monaco.

feck off! Posted that literally half a second after yours.

A week league were one team is dominating by 10 points and the rest of the teams are all subpar. Monaco the better team in both legs. Premier League fans live in a bubble. Overplayed players in an overhyped league that is all about long balls and physicality.

The EPL is the best league in the world if you like watching technically poor players boot the ball into the air for 90+ minutes

Judging by how many people prattle on about how useful Fellaini is, I guess there's quite a few people who enjoy that sort of shit football.

So...out of Arsenal, Tottenham, Leicester and Man City, it is Leicester City in the QF's.

Yeah. You'd almost think this supports Bales and Mourinho's explanation that top level premier league teams have a disadvantage as they are putting more into games, whereas Leicester who have had a really poor season still manage to beat topm European clubs....

Actually no all English clubs like hoofball! When are we going to get rid of donkeys like Pep, Klopp, Mourinho and Conte and stop OVERHYPING English teams

Remember when people said Leicester were going to ruin the english coefficient?

You are relentless, I'll give you that.

Do fans of other leagues do this "rah rah, we're the best in the world" nonsense?

Funny that teams like Dortmund and Monaco that play a fast attacking game based on young players are playing much better football than the English teams even though the gulf in finances is incredible. Perhaps a lesson could be learned from that?

Pep guardiola bought these players. Which Players are technically poor can you name them ?

Arsenal are definitely one of the regular teams. They are the king of regular.
