Film The Redcafe Movie review thread

Mara

Criminal psychologist Kate Fuller is assigned to the murder of a man who has seemingly been strangled in his sleep by his wife and the only witness is their eight-year-old daughter, Sophie.
It was not good , the story had potential , but the acting was dreadful.
The ending was just horrible.

Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy
Laugh a minute and never gets boring, even on repeat watch 8/10

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

For the first time watching any of these, I got bored.
The CGI was good, the acting was OK , but the film itself was just rubbish.
Time this franchise was laid to rest.

UFO

Derek (Alex Sharp) a brilliant college student, haunted by a childhood UFO sighting, believes that mysterious sightings reported at multiple airports across the United States are UFO's. With the help of his girlfriend, Natalie (Ella Purnell), and his advanced mathematics professor, Dr. Hendricks (X-Files' Gillian Anderson), Derek races to unravel the mystery with FBI special agent Franklin Ahls (David Strathairn) on his heels.
It was better than I thought it was be , but it could have been better, I enjoyed it.

Skybound

Five friends on a small airplane mysteriously lose their radio connection on a trip from New York to LA. As they continue their flight, they're forced to assume that a major disaster happened on the ground. They discover a stowaway, Erik, who urges them not to land at any cost. Before they run out of fuel, they must find out the truth.

Dont bother , dreadful film.

Football as Never Before (1971) - Five cameras observing George Best in a game vs Coventry in 1970. It was basically a stripped down version of that Zidane one from a couple of years ago. Best spent most of the game walking shaggily across the pitch with some odd flashes of genius scattered throughout the game. A neat, contemplative watch. I watched it whilst going through my discover weekly playlist on Spotify...

Final Score
After deadly terrorists abduct his niece at a soccer match, an ex-soldier with lethal fighting skills wages a one-man war to save her and prevent mass destruction. This is basically Sudden Death if you replace the hockey rink with a football pitch and swap out JCVD with Dave Bautista. Just a big, dumb, fun action movie. Nothing more, nothing less. Oh and Pierce Brosnan is in the crowd somewhere 5/10

The Nun
Wasn't expecting much but was still let down.

The scenery, lighting, music (dark ominous chanting) and location scouting were the best parts. But aside from that it's just your typical jump-scare movie with predictable scenes/scares, questionable characters, who perform questionable actions and have questionable lines/dialogue.

Why is Harry sat next to David Starkey?

I was tempted to watch this the other day to see if it was better than the last Jurassic World movie.

I'm waiting for Jurassic Rollerball: You'll believe a dino can skate'.

'Man v Dinosaur'...with a picture of a woman on the cover.

If you'd seen the latest Jurassic world (featuring John McClane Velociraptor) you'd expect rollerskating Dinosaurs to be in the next film.

FFS, Celebrity Dinos on Ice next.

Rewatched Sam Raimi's 'Darkman' the other day. Still my #1 superhero movie and a welcome break from all the soulless tripe you normally find within the genre.

Solo A Star Wars Story.

It was not has bad as I expected , enjoyed the story of Han and Chewie getting together and how Han won the Falcon.
It was not a classic, but it is not the worst.
If you are a Star Wars fan yeah you will like it , if not then dont , you wont.
