Of course it's all opinion and i love gangster movies, Casino, Goodfellas, Scarface also check out Takeshi Kitano's Yakuza films. They're all differently themed films man regardless of similar bloodshed or emotional content. To say one is better than the other is maybe down to your own personal enjoyment / preference of a type of film. Maybe you're not particularly a Gangster / Mob film fan?!
Its all about opinion though

Caché (hidden)
French intense thriller that starts off at a slow pace but intrigues you as the story slowly unwinds. A film that has you asking questions, a film to make you think and for that i award it 8/10
Some shocking moments and a film i could easily watch again as it is quite difficult to follow, of course it is supposed to be like that and i like that about it.
I've almost rented that a few times FV, but something always prevented me, possibly its French films in general, I've seen a few & wasnt that impressed. I'm sure there are many out there that i'd dig!
Has anyone seen "Switchblade Romance". Its French & fecking fecked up feckness at its fecking finest - get in

It's a good fecking movie up until the end. The end completely ruins it.I've almost rented that a few times FV, but something always prevented me, possibly its French films in general, I've seen a few & wasnt that impressed. I'm sure there are many out there that i'd dig!

You seen Amelie and The Diving bell And The Butterly? Those are two very good films and both different types to.
Might check out this Switchblade flick!
It has a stupid as feck, cliched twist.Yeah seen Amelie - in the cinema with an ex-bird actually. Liked it quite a bit. She's all-round beautiful in that film!
I havent seen "The Diving Bell & the Butterly" though. I've just googled it though & its a fascinating story & as you say - very different to Amelie. Will have to check that out!
Yeah, make sure you check out "Switchblade Romance" man, its bad ass shit & has a really good twist. Might be a good one for you & the other half or the lads to watch over halloween weekend. I rate it highly

I loved the end man - made the film for me & of course all the bloodshed all the way
It has a stupid as feck, cliched twist.
Don't worry. This Oles not my hero so I won't listen to him.
Completely different.Suppose the twist(s) at the end of "Old Boy" were cliched aswell Ole?
Completely different.
andone crazy woman being the killer
a guy tricking a guy to having sex and falling in love with his daughter out of revenge
are completely different.
I would have liked Switchblade Romance(or Haute Tension as I know it), had they not tried to be too clever. It was a brilliant bit of horror til the twist.
I encourage people to watch it, because 90% of it is an excellent movie.Thats your opinion man, but your spoiler doesnt sum up what actually goes on in the eyes of the viewer - well the eyes of anyone I know thats watched it!
I guess folk are gonna have to watch it for themselves. Hope they didnt have a peak at Ole's spoiler though, because thats the flick ruined!
I encourage people to watch it, because as RHD has said, 100% of it is an excellent movie & the ending / twist is exceptional - far better than that pish "Old Boy".

Revolutionary Road
Sam Mendes hasn't done a bad film yet as far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't even say he has done an average one either. Winslet and Di Caprio both give 100% and are utterly convincing as a young couple in love who are struggling to find a way out from the situation they've become trapped in.
Emotionally draining and quite depressing, but a great film.
8.5/10
That's how I felt about it as well.
my first short film. I'm ready for the 0/10's
