Gaming The RedCafe General/Random Gaming Chat Thread

Oh I see. you'll go back though. Civ games just have this way of dragging you back! :)

Definitely.

Jumped on the chance to buy Mushihimesama this weekend, despite being absolutely woeful at such games... Amazing what some people can do, though! :D

I bounced off Dishonored pretty hard, honestly. Went in expecting Thief (the original, not the reboot), and ended up with some weird superhero game.

True that... Hmm, I might pick up a free* copy of Hearts of Iron IV to complete my 2016 gaming catalogue
Same for me. I missed it originally, and picked up the full edition later. Started it, liked it enough, then got distracted and never booted it back up. Odd because it should be right up my alley.

 Is it really?

Realised I did post about it before in the thread. Next up, a couple of Pokemon games hopefully!

Steam Sale tonight :D What are we all after?

I'm hoping MGS5 finally breaks the £10 mark, but other than that, I can't think of much... Maybe I'll give the "Ys" series another go.

Steam Sale has gone downhill the last few instances. That's partly because it really hasn't been a great year for games and anything older than a year, I more often than not already have.

I remember reading about the Ys games before and bought like 4 of them in a previous sale but never played them. Are they any good?

I can kinda relate. I usually own anything I'm interested in, but the sales are still decent for others :)

*Shrug* Beats me  I bought one on GOG & thought it was okay, but I only put an hour or so into it. I just know they're very liked, & the genre is something that appeals to me.

Just purchased WWE 2K17... is it any good? Or is it really difficult to get used to the controls like the last one I played? And how's online?

I got 4 games in the GOG sale last month, but I'm sure I'll be dying to add a few more when Steam starts tonight.

It's like being at a buffet with all your favourite foods and you giddily rush around tasting everything until you reach the point where you're stuffed, feel sick and are filled with regret.
