The RedCafe FM Experiment

Of course. Whoever runs it obviously has to be able to enjoy the game themself first.

I've never really paid too much attention to this thread because i've not had the game for the past few years but this appears to not have a need for us to have the game - is that right?

Looks an interesting concept anyway and one i'd like to get involved with!

Yeah you basically tell us your stats then they get put in the game and we sim through the years and see how we do! niMic started it up but it's been passed round since. I'm just waiting for Uber to upload it so i can take over and try to blast through a few years.

If I have the time, I might be willing to do a 2010 one, even if it means passing it off to someone else eventually. I've got a few ideas. Obviously, we could do the same as here, with the players. Alternatively, we could do it with Managers. We'd start off at a certain ability (and 200 potential), just like the player one, and just like it we'd start off in somewhat lower league clubs. There's still a lot to customize for Managers, though it might not show as well as the players. A lot of the more important manager stats are hidden, so the profile pictures would look rather similar eventually. It's still a lot of fun though, and after a few years there's bound to be some rivalries between managers.

Actually, the more that I think about it, I want to do it.

 that does sound decent

Right i got the file last night, but now my steam won't work! Bloody thing, it keeps getting stuck on the "connecting to user" screen. I've tried deleting some .blob file that a forum mentioned but no luck, i've even reinstalled but nothing. Anyone got any ideas?

I'm going to do this in parts, as it's more work than i imagined! Fair play to the previous guys, i'll try to put a bit of detail in.

Anyway here's part 1.

FM Experiment Update 2016/2017

1. Cinadine Cidane (Fiorentina)

Fiorentina, after their dissapointing 8th place finish last season, came back with a vengeance this to claim second in Serie A. Cinadine bagging 16 goals in all competitions this season, making him the teams top scorer, and got 5 assists. He has been playing in the centre of the park just behind Dzagoev who's playing in his preffered AMC, and alongside Muntari. Cinadine didn't manage to win a medal this season with the Viola knocked out of the UEFA cup in the second round and the Italian cup in the quarter finals, but he was named as the runner up for the illustrious title of Foreign Player of the Year.

For Ireland he has been in fine form, now on 34 caps and 11 goals, Cinadine has scored in all but 2 of Ireland's qualification matches so far and the sit third in their group behind Russia and France.

Random info: Cinadine is now good friends with David Moyes and can speak French and Italian.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled.jpg

2. Cw1984 (Manchester United)

Another dissapointing season for United, but an improvement on the last. They finished third in the table, behind Arsenal and Man City, but again let in more goals than any other club in the top 10 (they were top scorers though). With Ashley Cole brought in as competition and a groin strain that kept him out for 2 months, CW still played 34 games in all competitions scoring 8 goals, his best scoring return so far in his career. United's season started poorly with defeats to Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and worst of all a 5-0 humiliation by relegation battlers West Ham at Old Trafford. And their cup runs weren't much better, getting knocked out in the UEFA cup qualifying rounds in August by Racing Club and getting knocked out in the sixth round of both the FA Cup and the League cup to Man City and West Brom respectively. Next season they will have Champions League football and a trophy will have to be on the cards after not winning a single trophy for 7 years now, and CW is said to be considering his options in the close season. He did have one thing to shout about, coming home with the Goal of The Season award for his solo effort against Sunderland that took him past 3 players before smashing it home.

For England though things have been much better for CW. 5 games into their qualification campaign they have yet to concede a goal and have scored 22. CW grabbing one in the 7-0 thrashing of Kazakhstan.

Random Info: CW seems to love managers, being friends with Wenger, Ancelotti, Southgate, Hiddink, Ramos and Pellegrini.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-1.jpg

3. Diver (Arsenal)

Arsenal did it again. Sweeping away all before them to win the Premier League for the fourth time in a row. Diver again played an integral part in the teams success, missing only two league games helping his team to the best defensive record with only 18 goals conceded. Losses in the League Cup first round and FA Cup quarter Finals meant that the Champions League was their only other hope for a trophy. Sadly Arsenal didn't win it, losing out in the Champions League final to AC Milan with Diver missing a penalty in the shootout.

In the air Diver is still not the best, winning only just over half the headers he goes for, on the floor though he is almost impossible to get past winning 364 out of 403 challenges.

For England he is, along with CW, part of that impregnable defence that shows no sign of stopping.

Random Info: Diver is currently tutoring young Rory Daniel and is good friends with Senderos.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-2.jpg

4. Hassan Emirati (Juventus)

Hassan enjoyed another decent season at Juve despite only finishing third. With Juve's odd 3-5-2 formation him and Paz have been sharing the left wing birth for the majority of the season playing just over 20 games a piece. He did help his team to the Italian Cup though, although he only played two minutes of the actual final itself! With only 4 goals and 6 assists it wasn't the most productive of seasons for Hassan but with a medal round his neck and that paycheck in his pocket i don't think he'll mind!

On a personal note Hassan is very happpy at the club and playing fantastically well for the UAE with 16 goals in his 58 caps, scoring 1 of the goals in an 8-1 destruction of China.

Random Info: Hassan is good mates with his Juve team-mate Shorty Phelan.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-3.jpg

5. Alex Hemming (AC Milan)

Another fantastic season for both Hemming and AC Milan. They somehow again went the entire season unbeaten, winning Serie A by 12 points and only conceding 13 goals. Hemming played in the heart of that defence with Serb Tatalovic, and they were both rocks in this tremendous season. This seems to be the time to be an AC Milan player as they sweep ahead nearly everyone in their path, the only competition they entered they didn't win was the Italian cup! The Champions League final saw them up against fellow caftards side Arsenal, and it went all the way to penalties after a late George Worst equaliser. After Diver's miss Hemming walked up and scored the winning penalty.

For Norway Hemming is part of a defence that has only conceded once in their qualy campaign so far and sit top of their group. He has yet to score in his 48 caps.

Hemming's stats are pretty formidable, winning 331 out of 386 aerial challenges and 237 out of 261 tackles on the ground. He also added goals to his game, 5 goals is over double his best return before this season.

Random Info: Hemming is friends with permatanned numpty Phil Brown.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-4.jpg

6. Jacob (Napoli)

Napoli improved from last season's eighth to climb to a champions league spot and fourth place. Jacob has been playing as part of the two in Napoli's 4-2-3-1 formation, and doing a good job there, getting 11 goals and 12 assists, a fantastic return. Sadly no silverware for Jacob as they were knocked out in the semi's of the Italian Cup by eventual winners Juve. They did however get some great results beating Inter home and away and giving AC an almighty scare in a 2-3 thriller. With Champions League football next season, let's see how they cope.

For Sweden Jacob has been an ever present in their qualification campaign scoring once and getting an assist. They sit top of the group ahead of the mighty Spain.

Random Info: Jacob is friends with a fella called Jaja, and is considering a new contract with the club.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-5.jpg

7. Dennis Law (R. Madrid)

Dennis became more of a fixture this season at Real, playing 39 times scoring 23 goals. A great return and putting the past two seasons behind him. Despite Law's success Madrid ended the season empty handed, finishing second in the league behind Barcelona, losing the Copa Del Rey on pens to Zaragoza and losing out to Lyon in the Champions League second round despite winning the first leg 2-0.

Dennis could do with improving his accuracy though, with only 75 of his 179 shots actually testing the keeper. But when he tracks back he can tackle winning 13 out of 18 tackles he attempted!

For Scotland he now has 24 goals in his 29 games and they sit second in their group behind the mighty England.

Random Info: Dennis is good mates with Martin O'Neill.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-6.jpg

8. Cristiano Lazytov (Chelsea)

Well, not a lot to say about Lazytov's season. He only played 12 games, but did score 4 goals in that time. He's still very happy to be sat on the bench at
Chelsea (the new Winston Bogarde?) and take his money. 50% of his shots were on target though, and he won all tackles he went for... all 3 of them.

Chelsea ended up empty handed this season, but finished fourth this season. Hopefully Lazytov will get more gametime next season.

He wasn't capped for his country this season.

Random Info: He is good mates with the big man himself. He also only covers 7.6k a match, that's less than double the distance Cech covers.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-7.jpg

9. Legold Legster (Inter)

After not playing many games (only 9) before January, Real Madrid came a knocking and Legster took the first plane to Spain. £41 million later and he was a Real player, he played 20 games for the club in the latter half of the season, securing the left back slot as his own. Sadly they finished 2nd behind Barca, but it was a good season personally for Legster. He was part of a defence (along with Vidic) that only conceded 22 goals, and he grabbed his only goal against Celta.

For Serbia he along with clubmate Vidic and AC Milan's Tatalovic couldn't replicate their club form and they sit third in their group behind Denmark and Norway.

Random Info:
He is friends with caftard Sam Stock and can speak five languages.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-8.jpg

10. Karan Mittal (Chelsea)

Mittal didn't have as good a season as last, scoring 8 goals but setting up 14 it wasn't a bad return nonetheless. Great in the tackle (166 out of 182) he and Essien form a great partnership in the middle of the pitch. As with Lazytov sadly Mittal ended the season empty handed. But unlike Lazytov at least Mittal played a few games!

For India Mittal is taking the captain's role in his stride. Infact they've already qualified for the 2018 world cup!

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-9.jpg

11. Rasmus Nilsson (Tottenham)

Nilsson's first foray into the champions league was not a happy one. It seems the distraction of the competition took away from their league form and they suffered a tremendous fall from grace. Finishing 18th in the league and getting relegated was inconcievable after last season's 3rd place finish. Only winning 9 games all season, and getting knocked out of all competitions at very early stages means that next season Nilsson will have trips to Hartlepool to look forward to after playing against Juventus only months prior.

Maybe Nilsson's absence was part of the problem, missing four months of the season through injury. But i don't think he needs to worry about packing his bags for a trip to Brighton yet, a host of top clubs are looking at the young winger including Barca, AC, Arsenal and Bayern. He only made 20 appearances this season, but the next will prove much more interesting for him, unless he takes up West Brom or Southampton's offer.

Random Info: Rasmus is a bit of a loner, not being friends with anyone.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-10.jpg

12. niMic (Sevilla)

niMic left the sinking ship of Sevilla to join the big guns of AC, and a great move it was for him. Despite having a 17 million release clause AC splashed 26 million on the right winger. He played over 20 games for the club and was a part of this very successful team, picking up winners medals for Serie A, the Champions League and the Super Cup. On a personal note it was a good season averaging 7.23 and scoring 8 goals and setting up 7.

He's also an integral part of the Norway squad that sits top of their group and looks like he may be heading to the world cup in 2018.

Random Info: niMic speaks 5 different languages.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-11.jpg

13. Alwyn Payne (Juventus)

Alwyn is starting to look a monster of a player. Playing at the heart of Juve's midfield 5, he scored 12 goals and set up 10. Finshing third in the league they again qualified for the champions league, and winning the Italian Cup meant a medal for the young man.

His tackling stats are impressive as well, 221 out of 242, and his rating of 7.25 put's him third just behind his fellow caftards. Juve is becoming something of a caftards annonymous!

For England he's played all 5 games this season at the heart of the midfield as they run away with their group.

Random Info: He is friends with current England boss Stuart Pearce.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-12.jpg

14. Paz (R. Madrid/Juventus)

After looking so good at Madrid in his first season, and not doing bad in the first half of this one, he jumped ship moving to Juve for £35.5 million. The diminuitive winger shared the left wing berth with Hassan Emirati and although he played well he didn't carry over his goal scoring form, only getting two. He did however play a big part in Juve's Italian Cup success, playing 82 minutes of the final.

For England Paz has the left wing nailed down, playing every game this season for his country as the caftards power their way to the world cup.

Random Info:
Seems Stuart Pearce is the popular chap, also Paz is currently learning Italian.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-13.jpg

15. Psmith (FC Bayern)

Psmith had a great season for Bayern, banging in the goals scoring 32 in 45 games and helping Bayern back to the top of the Bundesliga. He is lethal from the penalty spot, scoring every one he's taken. In cup competitions despite beating AC Milan 2-1 in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final sadly they were knocked out. And in the German Cup they were knocked out in the thrid round.

Psmith is doing a great job for India. In the four games he played, he scored an astonishing 8 goals including a hattrick against Qatar and four against Iran! The world cup beckons for him and we'll have to see how he performs.

Random Info: A popular chap, friends with nearly everyone in his squad!

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-14.jpg

16. Chris Searl (Inter)

Old sicknote himself was out for another 4 months this season, this time with a torn calf muscle. He still managed to play 20 odd games this season, scoring 5 goals, setting up 10 goals and being their second best player of the season in the ratings stake.

Inter had a so-so season, getting to the quarter finals of both the champions league and the italian cup. But their league form was a bit less impressive, finishing fifth means that there is no champions league football for Searl next season.

For Canada Searl is regarded as their key man, and his form for them does not dissapoint. 12 goals in 46 caps is not a bad return for a midfielder but at the moment they are stuck behind the USA and Mexico and may not get into the world cup.

Random Info: Obviously a fan of long throws, Searl is friends with Tony Pulis.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-15.jpg

Great work, Xander! You're right, it is a lot of work. I still think it's a lot of fun to actually do, though. It just takes a lot of time :p

I'm starting to look like a player! It's particularly fun to see, since in the last FM Experiment I did at another forum, the wingers didn't do well at all. We seem to be doing quite well here.

I didn't mention but AC has a very Norwegian look to it. Me and a youngster as the defenders, you in midfield and a lad called Johnsen upfront. So the Noggies are looking pretty tasty for the world cup.

Great updates so far mate, and thanks again for taking over

17. Shorty Phelan (Juventus)

Shorty has another good season with the Old Lady, scoring 26 in 45. But he only has the Italian cup to show for it. His goal scoring exploits make this his best season personally, apart from his brief spell in Cluj. His stats are also quite impressive, half of his shots on target but his heading lets him down only winning 190 out of 415.

Shorty's international career has never really got going, with only 9 caps to his name but 5 goals. He's restricted to more of an impact sub, scoring off the bench against Scotland and Kazakhstan.

Random Info: He actually travels less distance in a match than Lazytov.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-16.jpg

18. Ubor Skolskov (Juventus)

Ubor is again the star man at Juve, topping the ratings chart. He controls the midfield which shows in his 80% passing rate, he also pops up with goals every now and then scoring 12 goals and setting up 8. He also won Serie A young player of the year for the fourth time in 5 seasons, not bad really.

Juve only had the Italian cup to show for the caftards efforts, but with third place secured the next season could be a big one for Juve, if they can get past the mighty AC.

For Russia he is also the main man, playing in all games so far and helping them up to second in their group behind France.

Random Info: Friends with the monotone wonder Mick McCarthy.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-17.jpg

19. Sam Stock (Inter)

Sam Stock had another productive season, with 21 goals in 33 games. With a rating of 7.35 he is the top man at Inter, but their poor laegue performance means no trophies this season, and no champions league next season! Not quite the catastrophe that happened at Tottenham but still not whats expected for Inter.

He really turns it on for England though, with 26 goals in 34 caps. Made even more impressive considering most of his caps have come from the bench.

Random Info: His 18 league goals make this the most productive season for him.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-18.jpg

20. Flawless Thaw (Inter)

This season Thaw has moved from his DM position to play the majority of his games on the right wing. And he's not done bad, scoring 10 goals and setting up 7. As with Searl and Stock a poor season for Inter, but a good season personally. They are all happy at the club though and with a season out of the champions league it might be a blessing in disguise.

His international career has been stop start, but he's now sharing the right wing with Walcott. 13 goals in his 21 caps though is not a bad return.

Random Info: Ex England goalie and now QPR manager Tim Flowers counts Thaw as a close pal.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-19.jpg

21. Walrus (Arsenal)

Walrus was out for three months early on in the season, but it didn't derail Arsenal's title charge. And when he came back he took off where he left, 22 goals in 33 games and 12 assists show what a class player he is. His 7.34 rating also sticks him top of the tree at an already impressive club.

At international level though his goalscoring is not what it is for his club, only 12 goals in 32 caps doesn't seem bad, but seeing as he's played most of them upfront it's not as good as he can do.

Random Info: Best mates with big trinidadian Kenwyne Jones.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-20.jpg

22. Ed Weatherall (Arsenal)

Keeping 30 clean sheets in 52 games for Arsenal and England is not to be laughed at. Ed has put the bad times behind him and things look bright for him now. First choice for club and country, life couldn't get any better for our Ed. Sadly he was on the losing side in the Champions League final shootout, only saving one penalty.

For England no he's the main man between the sticks he's had 5 clean sheets in 7 games and looks a good bet to be wearing the number one shirt in Italy at the world cup.

Random Info: Like any other player with a cap for England, he's mates with Stuart Pearce.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-21.jpg

23. George Worst (Arsenal)

After his fantastic performance the previous season, it was always going to be hard to replicate it and that proved the case. Scoring only 5 goals, and setting up only 7. Although his stats still show he is a monsterously good player, and he is the first name on the team sheet for both club and country when fit.

For Belgium he has 7 goals in his 41 caps. And they sit top of their group ahead of Holland thanks mainly to Worst's contributions.

Random Info: Speaker of 5 languages and friends with nearly every manager he's ever had.

That's the sort of crazy shit I like to see

Again another great update

my time is coming!

great update Xander. Having finally gotten established at L'arse it seems that the old Walrus is coming along excellently.

FM Experiment Update 2017/2018

1. Cinadine Cidane (Fiorentina)

After last seasons second a champions league campaign and a charge on the title was on the cards. Sadly that wasn't the case, a 7th place finish, being knocked out in the quarter final stage of the champions league and the semi's of the italian cup was the best the Viola could get. The cup competitions obviously disrupting their league form. Cinadine had another good season, a personal best for the lad. A rating of 7.27, 12 goals and 6 assists meant that he was top scorer and best player for Fiorentina.

Sadly Ireland didn't qualify for the world cup so Cinadine will be having a quite summer in. He seems very happy at Fiorentina, so he'll hope that manager David Moyes can add more to the squad to cope.

Random info: Cinadine has just signed a new 5 year extension to his contract.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-23.jpg

2. Cw1984 (Manchester United)

Another trophyless season for United and a fifth place finish means it's the UEFA cup for CW. A permanent fixture in an ageing squad still relying on Ronaldo (34), Rooney (32) and Tevez (33) he managed to score 5 goals and made 11 goals. His tackling stats make good reading 215 out of 233 attempted. A personal down point for CW was when he was sent off and United lost to West Ham 6-1.

CW is part of the England squad about to embark on the world cup. But oddly he looks to be playing at MC instead of his favoured DL.

Random Info: CW is a scorer of spectacular goals, this season winning Champions League goal of the season with another three man beating run and screamer.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-24.jpg

3. Diver (Arsenal)

Arsenal did it again, again. Sweeping away all before them to win the Premier League for the fifth time in a row, although it was a lot closer than usual, winning by only a point ahead of Man City. Diver again was integral to this team that only lost one game, adding goals to an already impressive game. 5 this season his best return by a long way. His stats have improved, now winning three quarters of all tackles and headers attempted. Sadly though there was a downside to the season, losing out in the FA cup final to Fulham and not being able to win that elusive Champions League might start to prey heavy on Diver's mind.

For England he's also in the squad, after a fantastic qualifying campaign where they only conceded two goals.

Random Info: Diver thinks Walrus is vital to Arsenal's success.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-25.jpg

4. Hassan Emirati (Juventus)

Juve again finished third, so you have to give them credit for consistency. But it was a trophyless season this time losing in the final of the Italian cup to Jacob's Napoli. With Paz now playing on the right, Emirati has the left wing all to himself. And a full season there proved good for Hassan with 12 assists and 8 goals, and playing 48 games means he played the second most amount of goals for the club.

For the UAE Hassan is in the world cup squad, but faces a tough task being in the same group as Argentina and a tough Switzerland team.

Random Info: Hassan is now a natural at AMC.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-26.jpg

5. Alex Hemming (AC Milan)

Something terrible happened at AC this season, for the first time in 3 seasons they lost a league game. They still won the league so it's not all bad, but only winning the Club World Championship on top of that will probably be seen as a disappointment. Hemming is seen as undroppable at AC, playing 50 games and starting every one of them not making a single appearance on the bench. Hemming's stats are pretty good once again, winning 270 out of 294 aerial challenges and 220 out of 250 tackles on the ground. Grabbing 4 goals is another fine return and his 7 assists are not a bad.

He is part of the Norway squad over in Italy for the world cup and in a group with Germany and Searl's Canada.

Random Info: Hemming was named Serie A defender of the year.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-27.jpg

6. Jacob (Napoli)

Napoli surprised everyone this season with a fantastic campaign. Finishing second behind AC Milan and winning the Italian Cup and UEFA cup means plenty of medals for Jacob to shine up alongside his Johnstone Paint Trophy from 8 years ago. Jacob was an ever present (when fit) for Napoli and a key component to this great season, scoring the winning goal that sent them to the UEFA cup final. His 24 goals, also being a personal best, was enough to make him top scorer and he was named third in the Player of the Year awards.

Jacob won't be going to the world cup, as Sweden failed to qualify losing out to Switzerland in the playoffs.

Random Info: Jacob can speak fluent Russian.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-28.jpg

7. Dennis Law (R. Madrid)

Dennis Law turned on the style this season! Scoring 41 goals in 49 appearances and winning both World Player and Footballer of the year. Sadly Real Madrid couldn't win a trophy that Law's performances merited. Losing out on the La Liga title thanks to Barcelona's superior head to head record. He is very happy at Madrid and Madrid must be very happy with him.

For Scotland he finally gets his go at a major tournament. In a group with Spain and the dangerous India, it might prove tricky.

Random Info: Dennis is now only four goals off taking his namesakes record as top scorer for Scotland.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-29.jpg

8. Cristiano Lazytov (Chelsea)

Well, well, well. It was all change for Chelsea this season, firstly moving into the new 58k seater Zola Arena, and Mourinho replaced by Javier Aguirre. And Javier seemed to take a liking to our Lazytov. He played more games this season than in his previous six put together! A massive 45 games for the much maligned Cristiano only led to 8 goals and a tenth place finish for Chelsea, but he can't complain, at least he's playing!

He still hasn't got another call up for the England squad but he has commited his future to Chelsea signing a new 3 year deal.

Random Info: I think the extra games are tkaing it's toll, he's covering less distance per game than ever.

9. Legold Legster (Real Madrid)

Firmly established as Real Madrid's first choice left back now, he made 53 appearances in this fantastic season that was only marred by a lack of trophies. Legold scored double his previous best goal tally, a mighty 2 and set up another 7. Not much else to be said about this season for Legold Real's season ended on a sour note.

For Serbia he failed to qualify for the World Cup and will have to spend the summer drinking tequila on the beach, not a bad life i suppose.

Random Info:
Already making noises about a future in management.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-31.jpg

10. Karan Mittal (Chelsea)

After Chelsea's dissapointing season at least Mittal can say he did all he could. Joint second top scorer and the best rating out of any player in the squad, he can't be faulted for effort. Though with Chelsea's position in the league Mittal is thought to be considering his options.

Mittal must be the proudest Indian in the world, leading his country out on the grandest stage of them all.

Random Info: Tutoring young MC Robbie Mills.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-32.jpg

11. Rasmus Nilsson (Bayern Munich)

Rasmus obviously didn't fancy a foray into the championship and took the first big offer that came his way. Bayern Munich came in for him and paid £33 million for his services. And it wasn't a bad debut season, scoring 5, setting up 10 and helping his side win the Bundesliga. It also landed him a spot in the world team of the year! Not bad really.

Along with Jacob he'll be sat at home this summer.

Random Info: Rasmus must have impressed, winning a new contract after just one season.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-33.jpg

12. niMic (Lyon)

niMic did a Sheringham, turn up win everything and leave. After winning the champions league and Serie A he turned his attention elsewhere, although maybe only playing 3 games before January may have had a part in it. He got an offer from Lyon for £22.5 million and AC took it. At Lyon he didn't play much either, only 14 games but he made his mark with 6 goals and 8 assists in that time. At Lyon they did what they usually do and won the league and the cup. niMic seems a bit of a nomad as he's mouthing his displeasure already.

He's at the world cup though, so maybe he can put himself in the shop window with a good display there.

Random Info: niMic matched his top goal scoring return, despite playing his least amount of games in a season!

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-34.jpg

13. Alwyn Payne (Juventus)

A Personal best season for Alwyn his return of 16 goals and 10 assists is his best to date. Juve's trophyless season was not what Alwyn would have wanted but he's happy enough and will hope to improve on their third place finish.

He is another caftard flying the flag for England at the world cup.

Random Info: Alwyn was named foreign player of the year in Serie A

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-35.jpg

14. Paz (Juventus)

A creative powerhouse since his move to the right wing, scoring 10 goals but setting up a fantastic 20. It seems Juve have a good core of players, but can't keep it going for the entire season. Third place is not good enough for a team with so many good players in it.

He too is at the world cup and will hope to make a big impact.

Random Info:
Even though he only spent half a season at Twente, he is fluent in Dutch.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-36.jpg

15. Psmith (FC Bayern)

Psmith, Law and Walrus are having a duel to see who is the best striker on the planet. This season Law takes it, but be sure Psmith won't sit still and let him keep the title. 30 goals in 47 games is pretty good in anyones book. Joined this season by Nilsson he's obviously enjoying the service he's provided with. As he takes his place in the world team of the year.

Psmith will be fighting it out with Law and Walrus for the golden boot at the world cup if the season's form is anything to go by. He's also vice-captain.

Random Info: Came runner up in both European player and footballer of the year.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-37.jpg

16. Chris Searl (Inter)

Lets just have a look at the injury record here, well only 19 days out a personal best! Inter have fought back though this season to grab fourth spot and a champions league space, with Searl playing 41 games for them. He also helped himself to 7 goals and 10 assists, a record for the young Canadian. Obviously his new found health impressed his bosses as he was rewarded with a new 5 year deal.

He is a proud man today, being part of the Canada squad that qualified for the world cup and seen as their key man.

Random Info: Oddly Canada are rivals with Scotland.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-38.jpg

17. Shorty Phelan (Juventus)

The pick of the bunch for underachieving Juve, with a rating of 7.36. He was also top scorer by a way and created 15 as well, turning into a fantastic player. He was named in the Serie A team of the year, but just lost out on top goalscorer.

Shorty has only added one more cap to his name, but his performance this season means that he has earnt a spot in the world cup squad.

Random Info: Shorty knows basic Romanian.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-39.jpg

18. Ubor Skolskov (Juventus)

The fifth and final caftard at Juve, and not the main man this time, that role was taken by Phelan. 11 goals and 8 assists isn't bad, but it means nothing without the trophies to show for it. Juve really need some silverware soon as a lot of their players are starting to make noises about moving away, the price tag might put people off though. He did though manage to come runner up in the world Footballer of the year.

Another World cup participant but he'll have to get past Italy and the USA in the group stage.

Random Info: He's now regarded as a favoured personnel at Juve.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-40.jpg

19. Sam Stock (Inter)

Another personally satisfying season for Stock but not the best one for Inter. Fourth place does give them champions League football but their defence is not helping out the exploits of Stock and co. 35 goals in 46 games makes Stock the top scorer in Serie A, his 20 assists though is even more impressive.

29 in 39 for England and a place on the plane for the world cup beckons. If he can carry on this form England have a real chance.

Random Info: A new contract means 5 more years at the San Siro for Sam.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-41.jpg

20. Flawless Thaw (Inter)

The move to the right wing has made a new man out of Thaw, making 25 goals is nearly three times better than his previous record. Only 6 goals to show though is probably a bit low for a player of his talent. But this form helped him become Serie A player of the year.

Another player in the England squad, and at the world cup, with this array of talent how can we lose!

Random Info: 5 trophyless seasons, and he must be getting sick of it.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-42.jpg

21. Walrus (Arsenal)

Walrus had a blinder this season, helping Arsenal win the league again. 38 goals in 53 games is his best season by far and he swept away with the personal accolades in the premier league. Winning European footballer, striker, top goalscorer and coming runner up in World player of the year. Not a bad season for old Walrus.

With a forward line of Walrus, Stock, Shorty and Rooney England aren't short of firepower at the World Cup.

Random Info: This was his best season to date for assists with a very good 18.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-43.jpg

22. Ed Weatherall (Arsenal)

28 clean sheets this season in 58 games, the man seems indestructible not a single injury for three seasons. Arsenal won the League again and Ed played every single game, he did however have a shocker in the FA cup final passing to a Fulham player to knock in the winner. Hopefully that won't be the case at the world cup.

He has the shirt, now he has the pressure of being a keeper for England in a world cup campagin, how will he cope?

Random Info: Only been injured for a combined 2 months in his entire career.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv45/xander45/Untitled-44.jpg

23. George Worst (Arsenal)

The fourth caftard at the gunners, and the main goal making machine, getting 21 assists. 8 goals isn't bad, but i think he could do more in that department. What more can i say about Arsenal, they are pretty damn impressive in nearly every department and have a fair splattering of caftards. Like Juve except they win things.

Belgium are at the World Cup! And worst is the main man for the team, can he lead them to glory?

Random Info: Voted Players player of the year.

Didn't expect another update so soon, nice one Xander. Looks like I'm doing well individually but just the team letting me down. Hope I move to another club at some point.

hell yeah! now lets look forward to an absolute stormer of a world cup for england.

World Cup 2018

Group Stages

Group A

Only Russia with any caftard interest with Stolskov playing all three games against Italy, New Zealand and the USA. He didn't get any goals, but Russia are safely through along with Italy with a win a loss and a draw.

Group B

Norway and Canada of caftard interest with Germany and Peru as the other teams in the group. The first game was Norway vs Canada, with it being a bit of a thrashing with a 4-1 win for Norway being the result. Both Norway and Canada beat Peru (Searl getting the winner in Canada's game and niMic grabbing a goal for Norway), then came the games against the mighty Germans. Norway managed a 2-0 win with Hemming grabbing his first international goal, but Canada fell 3-1 and were knocked out. Searl's performances were a high point though.

Group C

Only Belgium and George Worst of any note here. France, Mexico and Morocco the other teams. Belgium drew against France and Mexico but beat Morocco to secure their passage into the next round. Worst winning man of the match in the game against France.

Group D

No caftards here, Nigeria and Portugal qualify ahead of Montenegro and Uruguay.

Group E

UAE and Emirati on show here. Emirati shows his quality by scoring against Argentina, but sadly they lost 2-1. He then scored again in a 3-0 win against the Congo and was man of the match in a 1-0 win over Switzerland meaning they are through with Argentina.

Group F

Scotland, India, Spain and Senegal make up this group. And it was Psmith vs Dennis Law first up. Psmith scored in the 6th minute but Scotland equalised and then wouldn't you know it Law pops up to get the winner. India then shocked the world beating Spain 2-1 with Psmith getting the winner, but sadly this also spelled the end for Mittal who picked up an ankle knock and will miss the rest of the tournament. Scotland then beat Senegal 2-0, Law again on the scoresheet to secure their passage to the next round. India did the same but Spain could still knock them out if they beat Scotland, luckily a draw meant India were through with Psmith leading the charge.

Group G

This is the one, England, Chile, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia. England beat the Ukraine 2-0 with Flawless Thaw getting both the goals. A 4-1 win over the Saudi's followed with CW, Shorty and Stock (2) getting on the scoresheet. Then a 2-1 win over Chile, with Stock scoring again, meant an easy passage into the knockouts. Chile finished second.

Group H

Brazil and the Czech's marched on here, at the expense of Australia and Ghana.

Second Round

Germany vs Italy (1-0)

Russia v Norway (0-1 aet)

We have to say goodbye to Skolskov as Norway eek past the Russian's in a very tight affair. Although it was deserved with Norway having over twice the efforts on goal than Russia could muster. niMic and Hemming both played, with Hemming captaining the side.

Portugal v France (1-2)

Belgium v Nigeria (0-1 aet)

George Worst captained the side here, but sadly it wasn't enough. Belgium can feel a little hard done by as they had the majority of possession and the more shots on target, but wastefulness was their downfall.

Argentina v India (2-0)

Horrifically before the match in a training session Psmith picked up a torn calf muscle, and without Mittal and Psmith India were not the same side losing out in very sad circumstances.

UAE v Scotland (1-3)

Caftards are dropping like flies, Emirati picked up and injury early on and Scotland capitalised. Strangely Law didn't hit the net though.

England v Czech (2-0)

Cw and Walrus get the goals that puts England safely through. 7 out of the starting 11 were caftards but it was the big man who grabbed the MoM award.

Brazil v Chile (2-0)

Quarter Finals

Germany v Nigeria (1-0)

Norway v France (0-1 aet)

Norway get sent home by the French, an extra time winner from Flamini was enough and even though Mexes was sent off with 15 minutes left it wasn't enough. Norway was captained by Hemming and niMic won MoM.

Argentina v Brazil (3-1)

Scotland v England (1-3)

This was basically Law vs England. And even though Law got an early goal, England's strength was too much. CW again finds the net and Shorty gets two for himself.

Semi-Finals

Germany v England

With JT sidelined through suspension Alwyn Payne took the armband and did his nation proud. Diver took his place on the pitch and England looked to put the Germans away and get to the final. But it didn't start well, Binder getting away from Diver and scoring after only 3 minutes. But on the stroke of half time, Walrus was pulled down and a young lad called Buckley tucked it away. The second half was very tense until a moment of individual brilliance from CW, he wriggled through the defence and smashed home to take the lead. As the Germans pushed forward they were caught on the break, only for Stock to be taken out and another pen given. Buckley put it away to give England a spot in the biggest game of them all.

3-1 to England.

France v Argentina

It was either the frog eaters or the old enemy. Sadly it was the old enemy who triumphed, blowing France away withing 30 minutes thanks to 2 goals from Messi and another from Laurito.

3-0 to Argentina

Third Place Play-Off

France beat Germany 2-0 to take the third place spot.

The World Cup Final

England v Argentina

Here we are then, the big one. Walrus picked up a knock beforehand and had to sit it out, and Diver was dropped to the bench after his mistake against the Germans. Weatherall, Thaw, Paz, CW, Payne and Stock all started in the biggest game of their lives. Sadly Paz's influence was short lived coming off injured after 10 minutes for Shorty. Laurito gave the Argentinians the lead after 20 minutes, a screamer from outside the area that Weatherall had no chance with. At half time it was 1-0 to the Argies and whatever Stuart Pearce said at half time worked as England scored after 51 minutes through Stock after great work on the wing by CW. But then it was stalemate, the match petered out and even extra time brought no more clear chances. So we went to penalties, it went to 2-2 until West Brom's centre back Thomas stepped up a blasted his shot over. Shorty and Flawless scored their pens but sadly the Argies scored all of there pens to take the title of world champions. And to rub salt into the wounds of all United fans, Tevez scored the winner.

A great world cup with a sad ending.

Captained my country at a WC semi, get in!

Scored in a World Cup Final, doesn't get much better than that. Well, I suppose winning it
