I know, my point is he is not future proofing himself, but he will likely have a strong side from the off.

I'm going for the future-proofing and taking risks to afford myself flexibility, same as in the All-time one. Not sure it will work this time though.

I checked it and he was online when his turn came. I'm in India as well right now and it's not too late so he might be checking in to make his pick. He did say that he had poor signal or some problem like that.
 
The 30s is tricky, regret going for a 80s player so early. Anyway I choose Gento, at least my wingers are sorted now

What are you talking about :lol:

Furture proofing is exactly what I did because the 80's is the worst era along with the 30's. By getting undroppables in for these eras early it makes reinforcements a whole lot easier, as the 40's, 60's and 70's especially have far larger pools.

On the Messi point - I'm not too fussed with him as there is so many world class forwards in this draft, Pele, Ronaldo, etc.

It's also no different to saying Brwned has stopped himself getting Garrincha

Figueroa is a top pick. There's little chance either of us could get hold of Pelé any time soon so there's no point leaving room for him really.

Well, trying to rub it in people that you got Garrincha is a little silly. Plus we knew the rules - I was very close to picking him myself. We all have a pan - problem is that some of us will F it up for each other.

There are a fair few indeed, I have a backup plan if I don't get any of them though and already have the compulsory starting one so no worries there.
