The bonus with Baresi is he slots right in. I'm not worried about my defence though, it's more the marketability of certain players.

You can say he will run rings all you want but I don't think that makes a significant difference really. Messi has been shut out by lesser defenders than Hierro.

I share the sentiment, I absolutely hate playing you! Cutch was the last team I wanted though, makes my picking a complete nightmare as instead of taking some risks or looking at improvement areas I need to question players who are perfectly fine in their roles.

You're better of targetting other players than playing down Messi mate. That might just tick a few off and cost you a couple of votes.
Fair do's mate, think you are overrating Hierro a tad there. He isn't in the same league as Baresi so comparing Champions League partners like that doesn't prove anything. Messi would glide past Hierro for fun IMO so its something to look at
I'm not targetting Messi at all! If anything, he is the big name upfront I worry about. Will people see my front three in the same light? I don't think Ronaldo is a massive upgrade on Eusebio at all but vote-wise there's a strong case for him.
The only reason I mentioned Messi was Theon already giving away what his opinion will be come the game "Messi is running rings around Hierro". This is Fernando Hierro, no one is comfortable with Messi, but he is massively underrating him.
Eusebio is definitely one of if not the most underrated player you can get in these drafts IMO.
Hierro stopped peak Ronaldo, a player with a comparable knack for gliding past defenders. He actually got a standing ovation for a MotM performance against him.
