Stobz front three is awesome - stating the obvious here, but if he gets through I would love him to pick up a right winger and move Pele central behind Batistuta

With Keano there you dont even need three midfielders

Obviously a bit narrow, but it's one of the most impressive teams in the draft for me. A couple of upgrades and you could be flying.
 
What type of player was Masopust?

If he was a passer then I was have him in the middle, Keano at his box to box best on his side
 
By clearer I mean explaining what everyone is meant to be doing, particularly in your midfield. Those two midfields have the same personnel but suggest different things.
 
Once Stobz moves into a 4-2-3-1 with Keane and Masopust the pair, Rivaldo left, Pele central, a new right winger / inside-forward, with an upgrade to either Lahm or Ruggeri, he'll be almost there.

He can do that right now also. If people are being put off by Pele as slightly wide, he can play Gerrard on the right and Pele behind Batigol. Gerrard had a great time playing on the right and Keano and Masopust is as complete a CM pair as you would find.

Was gonna suggest the same before, probably prefer the way he has it though

So to round my team of right from the 30s. I pick “The Maradona of The Sixties” Omar Sivori.

Yeah that's true. Doubt it would hurt him much.

Sivori can easily go wide and provide width and Thuram is as solid defensively as you can get so doesn't need help against top wingers.
 
Nope probably not!

He always drafts well, in the AllTime one I thought he drafted the best team out of everyone and in the CL one second only to Gio

Was my backup for Joya throughout. I was actually quite miffed he may miss out, now not sure what to think as he suits you!

Well he is no Cafu or Carlos Alberto but people always just think he could defend. It is not like my game plan will be built around Thuram having the ball out wide as my main attacking threat.
 
In case a diamond not would be suitable for a game I have the 4-2-3-1 in my pocket.​

No, but I do not think Thuram would be a major problem for me in a diamond, I agree he is not the perfect RB for the formation but he will do the job and in defence I could not wish for anyone else :)
 
Yeah he wouldn't be a problem at all, wasn't trying to criticise its just a fact that his primary focus is on defence

Its a pain the arse having a diamond I have found and you'll spend 80% of your time in the match threads trying to pursuade people it has enough width :rolleyes:

Yeah, I have seen that. Rivelino should at least be able to provide some width on the left side at times.

TBH, few sides seem to have real weknesses. What I think you have and is a relative strong point is:

1) one outstanding player through the spine (Maldini, Falcao and Ronaldo) and then players who suit them well around them

2) room to adapt your formation to the opposition

He is indeed, and you have handled that well with Mata in terms of there always being an 80s guy, which was the main reason I questioned it.
