Indeed. It's bad form not to allow this sort of quirky moves to be completed. Dan once tried to put together the WC'02 Brazilian side in the 70s draft and it got to a point I skipped certain options just to let him have them. I was planning on skipping Stoichkov for KM but then realsied he couldn't pick him anyway. The few Dutch players I had I had also crossed out for you to get.
You did screw up picking Cerezo though. The moment you do that the theme is gone and it's back to a free for all.
You really have to play Brwned, that way one of you two frees up the rest of the set for the other.
I have two in mind so he might end up as back up tbh. Pretty sure they won't get picked, could get better players but more interesting doing this.
Brwned vs Jayvin is a must. Might as well exclude them from the drawing.

It is interesting and will get no end of kudos, at least from me. I have a huge soft spot for themed sides, they are very hard to pull off. I originally planned to go for an upgraded Barca Dream Team in the all-time draft but by my third pick 3 Romario and Stoichkov were gone and I only had Laudrup

Think it was just me and Jayvin eyeing up Law. If so he went one move too quickly as I thought he might sneak through once more! Shame but he was proving to be a bit of a dilemma for me anyway.

Your two first picks were great. After that none of the players were in my sight but personal taste I guess.
It was looking good, not just gimmicky. Your last couple of picks were total brainfarts. I do rate Cerezo, but not in a total football setting. Stam would have been better than de Boer. I can't see many available midfielders out there which will be consistent with the theme either, but I haven't really been looking for that sort so may be wrong.

I agree they will work well, although I'm now intrigued as to which Falcao you are going for.
I'm not too fussed about them being from the same decade but having compatible styles. Same decades are likely to result in more compatibility because playing styles tend to be consistent through the decade, but not necessarily so.
