I was certainly going to take a back seat if Snow was around because I agree that its not fair to have a 2 v 1 scenario. However I was planning to have some input during the day when Snow isn't around, otherwise it would be all one way traffic. The 2 of us don't tend to be on here at the same time due to the hours he works. I don't mind but lads, whatever you's reckon.
 
Whatever really man, just use common sense so it's fair - so as long as its not OTT it'll be fine
 
God knows what Jake is playing at, he's online now FFS - been over 8 hours now!
 
Can we do a tag team type job? So if I'm heading out for a few hours I can PM NM and he can argue our point? Because some days I'll be workin 9-5 and others I'll be doing feck all apart from going out for the odd hour or two.

All seems very sensible.

When doing the draw/schedule, it's probably worthwhile setting up kick-off times as well, so that once the match thread goes up, the teams will quickly follow and we can push on.
 
Oh shit I forgot to PM Jake, guys. Sorry, my bad. May be he thought it was just 11 players.

Really? As is said, I never noticed the guy before or since, just that goal, the celebrations and the winning penalty, then I forgot he existed. Still, if I were walking down the street and came across any of the left backs picked he would be one of the most recognisable ones. It's very strange.
 
I'll go with Tiago Mendes, 60 portugal caps, versatile midfielder who's played in all 4 major leagues.

The Game hasn't been active since yesterday. It's not like that last pick is likely to fundamentally change his side, is it?
 
I was searching something up and saw this again, he looks remarkably similar to Suárez, doesn't he?

Personally I wouldn't be arsed, but it does give him a slight advantage in that he's able to tinker his side to face his opponent. It depends if others would be annoyed by this/feel it was unfair.

Okay lads the draw is being made now and the games are going to be revealed in two sets, half now and half later today!

Once the draw is made everyone will have at least 4/5 days to draw the formation graphic on FootballUser and present their tactical arguments - these can take any form you want to i.e player profiles, detailed tactics, some youtube videos, anything really.

The arguments can be as long or short as you want - though try not to go to either of these extremes, nobody is expecting an essay on football tactics, but at the same time we want the voters to enjoy reading the threads and the aim is to stimulate some discussion.

Each manager should post their formation graphic and any arguments straight into this thread and the post will be copied/quoted into the matchday thread for the games.

That is strange. I suppose he'll never really be forgotten for that finish and celebration. It's sort of similar to Erik Edman always sticking in my head for that one goal v Liverpool. There's a whole host of mediocre fullbacks that played in the PL but he's always the first to come to mind. The only reason I remember him being so average is because I was doing one of those online dream team things for that World Cup and he was one of my fullback's competitors! He didn't even have a good tournament and I couldn't believe they kept him in the team. Zaccardo (my man) wasn't much better but he was better, it's just that Zambrotta was just more suited to playing on the right for that Italy side and Grosso was possibly the only left-footed player in their squad! He was pretty crap for Inter when I saw him, looked ok for Lyon and then just looked a bit pathetic for Juve. If he was right footed I'm not sure he would've made it in a top league!

Zaccardo-Grosso was their fullback combo for their opening game in the World Cup...not sure Italy have ever started a tournament with a worse combo!

But then I saw Nahealai and Gio and thought everyone but Nahealai could be pretty angry with me!
