You need to pick again, big Pete is too old.
Schmeichel was born in '63, too early.
Ouch, he provided a nice long paragraph too! Haha! Happens to all of us mate, expect you need a few more minutes? Once your done I think I can hopefully pm a short list to someone if need be!
Yeah I was soo certain I'd be able to pick Michael Laudrup when he wasn't picked by the first four and it was my turn
Balls! I never checked the date-of-birth. I was wondering why Jake overlooked him!
Ditto Baggio.
I actually think I picked, or well tried to pick him as my 2nd pick or something like that haha
Think how I felt when I thought Mathaeus had dropped all the way to the 5th round.
It's kinda funny that two of the best players just missing by age are Danes, good players we had back then
I was also gutted when I found out Brian Laudrup didn't have enough Champions League appearances - another talent whose European performances were curtailed by shoddy defending from team-mates.It's kinda funny that two of the best players just missing by age are Danes, good players we had back then
Ha! My original first round pick..'til I realised his age! That's another good contender though, I'm sure he played until 2001 or something?
Yep, and a few more just a little further back too. Was interesting learning about simonsen during my first ever draft..

Pretty interesting article about what probably is the best Danish team ever, we were (seemingly) so exciting back then, before my time though sadly and it's hard to think we'd ever get such players again..
It was with Brondby, Milan, Bayern, Rangers and possibly Ajax he played in the European Cup/Champions League. From what I've seen he did well with Brondby, and was reasonable with Milan, Bayern and Rangers in the competition. It's probably the one competition he didn't truly excel in, despite doing it in leagues and international tournaments. More exclusive tournament then of course which made it harder for all of the top players to shine, as did the 3-foreigner rule which led to many an expensive import sat on their arse on a Wednesday evening.Which champions league teams did he really make an impression at? Inter was a disaster by all accounts.

I select Jordi Alba.
Thought he didn't qualify when I checked? Not certain though.
