Mayer got absolutely stiffed on the cards there.

The bias in the Sky commentary was disgraceful.

I feel very sorry for Mayer, I thought she was very hard done by with her previous split decision loss against Baumgartner, and even more hard done by with last nights result.

I thought that Mayer won 7 rounds out of 10. The person I watched the fight with thought that she won 8 rounds of 10.

Another joke of a decision.

Kenshiro «The Amazing Boy» Teraji vs Carlos «CCC» Canizales was a great action fight. It will be forgotten by December but a potential "fight of the year" candidate for how frenetic it was. Teraji already had an hell of a bout in November 2022 against Hiroto Kyoguchi (with an insane round, 5 IIRC)... Entertaining fighter but suspect defense though.

I just listened to Joe Gallagher on the radio talking about a challenger having to ‘rip the title away as a challenger’; I’ve never understood this narrative, you either win a round or you don’t.

Mayer was the aggressor throughout. Jonas won max 4 rounds.

Yep seems like a trend that's set into boxing forums and fans nowadays this narrative that the away fighter has to either knock out the opponent or win every round to take the title away instead of scoring it as a fair contest, this also means the home fighter just has to turn up and throw a few punches then.

Just got an email from DAZN about buying Fury Vs Usyk and getting the Benn fight free. I wonder how many suckers signed up before the news dropped.

Normal to be sparring, without head guards apparently, 2 weeks out from a fight?

Shock horror. I think most predicted this to happen.

If he’s genuinely been cut and can show some evidence the fair enough; there has been rumours his camp has been poor though and he has struggled in sparring, however, other journos have been saying the opposite - he’s in shape and handling people.

Hugely disappointing.

Absolutely shocking, Fury is a joke. After being embarrassed by N’Gannou he was probably struggling to lose his manboobs with two weeks to go until the fight. Pathetic, no one should take this chump seriously after this. He’d rather make stupid Netflix documentaries. Will never be a GOAT contender like he claims to be.

Never in doubt, and the cancellation was always going to come from the Fury side.

Words can’t describe how much I detest this cnut….its deep enough that I’m shocked by my own irrationality.

Analysing it, it’s not about his arrogance and pissing about - all fighters are arrogant and 90% of them seem to piss about these days. It’s about how great he could have been and what a shameless waste of his ability his antics are.

He really is a fecking loser

State of some of these posts in here.

Cut is a shitter and he would be stupid to go into one of the biggest fights of his career with it tbh in two weeks time. Open that up in the fight and he likely loses the fight by doctor stoppage. Not worth the risk when he can push the date back a month or so. Freak accident, shock horror people go into meltdown

It's just pathetic now every time i see a story with Fury or Joshua i instantly know it's just going to make me hate boxing more.

I know it has been going on before then but they have taken avoiding any hard fight to be levels.

How you can win a world title hold it for years but still never have a proper fight is unreal

Well according to Sports Illustrated and other boxing journalists it's "several months". Explain that one.

The cut does look quite nasty, and it's roughly in the same area that was damaged previously, so it's understandable if the fight is delayed for a few months.

Fury definitely has form for avoiding some big fights, but he can't be held responsible for a freak accident like this one.

Looks in good nick in the first photo, and that is a bad cut.

That’s an awful cut; what the hell kind of sparring were they to tear his face like that, unless it was an accidental clash of heads?

He’s clearly given everything he has - best shape he’s ever been in as a pro!

Real shitter for the fight to be off.

Just saw the clip a bit further down; I don’t know what people want? How is he being blamed for getting cut?

It's not this one occasion though, is it? There's always something with him

But none of that has anything to do with this. People are going in on him for an accident in sparring that has meant he can’t compete. It’s just silly. You aren’t competing with a cut like that in boxing. His history shouldn’t even come into play with something like this.

There is background with his matchups but I believe this is completely innocent. You cannot go into the biggest fight of your life with a cut like that.

I've heard the whispers about his training camp but he looks about as fit as he's been for many years. Also there is no way he wouldn't take this fight seriously.

He has had many flaws but this cut isn't a fake excuse imo.

I understand why people are angry giving Fury's previous antics but that doesn't mean he's lying here.

If he fights 1-3 months after then fine, but I can see this fight not happening at all now.
