Molina looked overmatched as soon as they took the robes off, waste of time but AJ needs the fights/rounds before you take on the big boys.

That was pointless for him in terms of a tune up though, learnt nothing other than he can be patient.

AJ is 27, Tyson was world champion at the age of 20

No, it was a voluntary and cause he was ranked in the Top 15 by the IBF, it made him a viable opponent. In reality, an awful match-up.
Ah right, one to ease him along. Ease being the operative word.

The Gloves Are Off episode for Joshua Klitschko will be the most boring one yet.

That announcement was cringe as feck.

The fecking size of AJ beside Klitschko :eek:

Froch is devastated that his "80,000 people at Wembley" line is about to be shared with 2 other people.

Anyone got a vid of the fight because I missed the fecker due to streaming problems

Well I got my wish pretty quickly!

Like others have said it's really great to see the mutual respect between them. I like to see trash talk and all that, but sometimes it's nice to see 2 gentlemen show respect to each as well.

I agree, but that was boring. The build is very important for me and I'm not expecting much. I hope we get a great fight at least

I expect a bit more tension to build up as we get closer, but I guess it'll be a more a case of neither will go further than the other guy has. I'm sure in the ring will be a completely different story though. If Joshua doesn't KO him early, he could be drawn into a real tactical test.

Watch Chisora-Whyte- that was a fecking epic. AJ's was just him quickly beating a negative bum who was visibly shitting himself.

I saw that but then I couldn't log in or whatever to my stream it just went blank just as the fight started ffs

Cant believe this was on box office. Haye Harrison was supposed to be a turning point. Smith and Hearns are totally conning the public

Ah, at least you saw the far superior fight out of the two. Seriously, Molina maybe through three or four half-hearted punches. Was a good shot from AJ for the first knock-down but it was fish in a barrel night. Would be pissed if I paid £17 just for that (obviously I didn't).

Guess I didn't miss much then

Wlad already doing his psychology crap on AJ, telling him what to do in the ring poses and where to look. He loves to do that to get his grip on the other fighter, never worked with the unpredictable Fury though. Speaking of which, Tyson really needs to get motivated, come back and wipe these lot out or Haye.

If Joshua can pull off the win and Haye wins his as we expect then Eddie Hearne will be laughing all the way to the bank. Would expect a £30 Sky PPV for that one... and the sheep will pay it.

Whyte v Chisora was just as epic as the press conference, fair play to both, gotta be a rematch and at Wembley would be mint. Simeball has probably already thought about it, lol.

Tbf, I would have paid £17 for the Chisora-Whyte fight alone. But besides that and Buglioni-Burton, everything else was awful.

I wouldn't pay anything for it but get what you mean, Chisoras fight was one of the best ever battles. It was the heavyweight version of Froch v Pascal. People paying all this money for Sky PPV fights though when they already churn out for a tv license and Sky sports is crazy. Some people at my work pay like £100 just for their media packages, stuff though, all that just for tele etc is madness. Last fight I paid for was Khan v Presscott, never again, even if their were 10 Chisora fights in a row.

The Joshua fight was dull,

Would love to know what percentage of people who watched it actually paid for the fight. I've not paid for a PPV I've watched since Mayweather-Hatton.

Unless they go against type, the build up to Klitschko-AJ will be one of the nicest & most boring build-ups in a long time. That said, I do like the respect they both have & the fight will sell itself without the trash talk. I also hope they sell 80,001 tickets just to piss Froch off.

Think AJ wins with a KO, he looked huge stood next to Wlad in the ring.

Chisora-Whyte fight was way better than I expected. Great watch.

Not PPV worthy by any stretch of the imagination, but Chisora-Whyte was a cracker.

Eddie Hearn is a cretin, once again had to try stealing the limelight and making the post-fight about him. The dust had barely settled after a clinical AJ performance and he's writing headlines: "I am delighted to announce...", feck off Eddie, you are a giant skidmark upon the sport of Boxing.

Eddie is a fecking leech and a smug cnut.

Glad to see a big name for joshua finally though personally I feel haye has already called it re wlad 41 years old, inactive for 18 months and off the back of his worst performance ever probably. Could well be another easy nights work for AJ

As long as people keep turning up like Lemmings then it will carry on. There are too many coked up casuals at fights now that pile in for the main event and nowt else. As long as they see a knockout then they don't care.

I was surprised to see this week that Hearn has split from Josh Warrington 'cos the Leeds scumbags turn up in their droves to watch him fight corpses.

Alright, alright, alright! Just finished watching bunch of last night fights.

Chisora vs. Whyte, was a proper good old slug fest! I had Chisora winning it but by the slimmest of margins, tho draw would be fair as well. So Ortiz vs. Whyte coming up next i reckon?

Ortiz vs. Allen, big heart from Allen but he might be just too brave for his own good, that was quite a lot of punishment he took and he's still 24. Think Ortiz needs some big, aggressive pressure fighter opposite to him in order to show his skill. He is the most known for his counter punching after all.

Joshua vs. Molina, another tomato can on his resume. Wlad fight should be interesting. All of people that are fast to say it will be easy job for Joshua need to think twice. AJ isn't nowhere near as awkward as Fury is, nor is he lengthy and experienced so Wlad will know what to expect. Tho both have tremendous power with AJ edging it in the speed department. Will be an interesting fight IMO.

Ruiz vs. Parker, great technical fight, Ruiz still looked pretty out of shape but at least this time he wasn't weighing in at ounces short of 300 pounds, his work with Abel Sanchez is clearly helping him. His footwork and speed is amazing for such a fat bloke. Definitely hard fight to call IMO, both showed a lot with Ruiz being more active in the opening rounds. Parker won it because fight was in NZ.

Saying homophobic and sexist things in the build up to a fight doesn't necessarily make it exciting.

Joshua and Klitschko is an exciting fight regardless, and I'd hate to see them pretending to be arseholes when they very clearly aren't.

Not sure why you are querying why it was on PPV really. The British market is pretty strong right now and this was an easy sell, "casuals" or not being the fanbase. Casuals are always the fanbase when it comes to getting big PPV numbers and big paydays.

It's still getting any of these over anywhere else other than Britain that will continue to be the problem, everythings on AJ for that. Frampton may crack the P4P ranks a bit more with some good wins, but that won't lead to star power.

If Frampton keeps fighting in the US then he'll become a bigger name there, especially if they are impressive wins, plus he'll always have a fairly big following in the UK. He might not get 80,000 at Wembley, but how many Featherweights could?

If he beats Santa Cruz again and fights Selby that fight could attract 25-30K I'd imagine.

Wouldn't surprise me if Hearn is there....might have to get Chisora and Whyte back as hype men for it!

It could be and I accept this point. To Joshua and Hearn's credit though despite the inactivity etc Wlad is the current best available option (Fury won't be fighting for ages, if ever) so they have got the best fight possible. Joshua is constantly slated and rightfully so for taking bum fights and poor opponents but this one is a good challenge and fight. Don't get me wrong with Hearn everything is calculated and he will see a weakness in Wlad with the inactivity and ageing but this fight really does give potential to take Joshua on to a new level and be the proper face of heavyweight boxing. The guy is a potential superstar and the division is slowly getting better.

For all the shite served up in boxing this is a genuine interesting fight. I'm not even a massive Joshua fan really but it's good to get new fans into boxing and he can help do it. I think AJ wins and it's stopped after about 7 or so rounds.

As for the card the other night, it was as expected except Chisora vs. Whyte which was a great fight. I thought Chisora won it but it was close.
