Khan looking speedy on the punch tbf.

Khans looking good tbf. Though I've said this before, but Devon Alexander is the best he's looked good against. Should be able to box it out conservatively after 6, no KO hunting costing him.

Not really bothered, but I want to see Khan vs Brook, so neither a loss or win is going to affect, it's essentially Khans second fight if Mayweather-Pac goes through. But it'd be a far bigger deal if they've cleaned up the the few below the big boys not including JMM. Winners face each other then.

Ditto. Just want to see a good fight tbh.

Virgil shouting "Do what I ask you to do" That's my problem with him. I reckon if he used his head properly throughout an entire fight he'd have a decent chance against Mayweather.

Mayweathers next fights should be Pacquiao and a Middleweight fight(either a rematch with winner of Cotto/Alvarez or Golovkin), which would give him belts in 6 classes.

Ducking Khan isn't on the agenda, unless reups his Showtime deal after that. It does nothing for his legacy, but neither did 2 fights with Maidana, so eh.

Solid professional win. Kind of reminded me of Calzaghe-Kessler. The former bossed him but a knockout never looked on the cards.

Well done AK, boxed sensible.

He needs someone like Virgil Hunter in the corner to keep him concentrating every second of every round. Hunter earning his money.

Impressive performance against a 3 time 2 weight world champion.

Nicely done by Khan. But still doesn't suggest to me he'd overly scare Floyd, it should be Floyd farewell fight though, his 50th, in London. You'd get the HUGE states numbers still, but an increased UK audience than you'd normally get thanks to the extra buzz, though yeah going up to middleweight to come back down 8 months later or so would be tough on even Floyd, doing something similar essentially ended Roy Jones Jr at a similar age when he went up to HW.

Floyd - Pacquiao, Khan in London, MW legacy cementing 50th fight. Win those, and he'd go up a few notches for me. 50-0, 6 weight classes with numerous HOFers and other "names". But not top 5, very little he can do about that though.

Khans next is Brook, I don't see how it can't be.

Got to admire Khan's skills, can give anyone at 147 problems. Exciting to see what fights are made next year because there is so much uncertainty. Highly doubt we'll see Floyd-Pac though.

Bob Arum on top form today apparently. Two weird decisions on the HBO card.

Great performance from Khan. Best i've seen from him.

In terms of discipline and accuracy, this. Fantastic performance.

Pacquiao Mayweather is 3 years too late at the very least unfortunately. Mayweather to win that. Khan Mayweather would be very interesting on the back of his last 2 performances however.

Really would be great to finally get to see Mayweather beat Pacquiao.

If this finally goes ahead, the build up would be fecking unreal. The biggest fight of the modern era.

That was an impressive performance from Khan, looked excellent and boxed quite sensibly. I think Hunter's going to make him a much better all-round boxer, as long as Khan can keep his ego in check and continue listening to Hunter's instructions.

Khan-Floyd would be an interesting fight, mostly because Khan's got the speed to trouble Floyd, but Mayweather is a genius who will probably work something out to negate that advantage. But I, like the majority of boxing fans, want to see Manny-Floyd. Even if it's 4 years too late, this is the fight that will break all the PPV records and it just needs to happen.

Can someone please point me in the direction of where/how to watch the Khan v Alexander fight?

I'm scared to Google it because I don't know the result and don't wanna know!

Yet you're not scared about the replies after your post?.....which, not mine as I'm a nice guy, will continue to discuss the fight -_-

Think youtube will have them if you sort it by upload date. They'll get taken down quickly, so giving you a link won't help. Don't read the descriptions, but most people upload with spoiler free titles at least.

Would be naïve to expect people not to discuss the fight and I wouldn't expect them not to on my behalf. Providing then don't quote me of course.. ;)

Thanks for the tip. Will give it a go after the game.

Pacquiao has responded to Mayweather's challenge:

Manny Pacquiao has vowed to chase Floyd Mayweather into ring submission after the undefeated American offered to fight him next year.

Mayweather issued a May 2 challenge to the Filipino star on Friday and Pacquiao appears ready to agree to a first showdown between the two long-time rivals for the title of "best pound-for-pound" boxer of their generation

"He (Mayweather) has reached a dead end. He has nowhere to run but to fight me," said Pacquiao.

"I will try my best to make this a thrilling and entertaining fight. But I doubt if he's gonna engage me in a slugfest.

"You all know his fighting style. Most of his previous fights, if not all, induced us to sleep."

Should the fight happen, Pacquiao, who turns 36 on Wednesday, said he will do to Mayweather, 37, what he did to another previously undefeated American, Chris Algieri, who lost to the WBO welterweight champion in Macau last month.

"I know what I have to do. I will chase him wherever he goes just in case he decides to run around the ring. We will devise a good fight plan against him," Pacquiao added.

Pacquiao also insists the division of the purse - the fight is expected to be the richest in boxing history - is not an issue for him.

"Mayweather can get the amount he wants. As early as January this year, I challenged him to a charity fight. Until now, he has not agreed to it. So, money is not the issue in our fight," he said.

"This fight is about legacy, this is about making the fans happy and, above all, this is for the good of boxing."

Anyone point me in the direct of highlights from Andy Lee's fight? Can find them where I usually look

Subscribe to Showtime and HBO's YouTube channels. They generally give highlight videos straight after the event. There's highlights of Bradley and Lee on HBO's today.

Boxer Anthony Crolla is "recovering well" in hospital from a fractured skull and broken ankle after he was hit on the head when confronting burglars.

Crolla, 28, was due to fight for the WBA world lightweight title in January.

Promoter Eddie Hearn told BBC Sport the Manchester-based boxer was in a "stable condition" but the fight was now off.

"He confronted burglars and was hit on the head by either a brick or concrete slab. He is in hospital where they are carrying out a scan," he said.

Police later confirmed that a 28-year-old man was left with a fractured skull after being struck "with a heavy object" when chasing burglars he had spotted leaving his neighbours' home.

They said he was "recovering well".

Trainer Joe Gallagher said Crolla had stitches in his head and a deep wound.

Gallagher said: "The next-door neighbours were being burgled, and the burglars came into his garden. He gave chase and apprehended one of them.

"The other one lifted a slab of concrete and hit him with it, and he fell and broke his ankle."

Crolla, who has won 29 of his 35 professional fights, will have surgery on his foot, Gallagher said.

Crolla, who was taken to Royal Oldham Hospital, was set for the biggest bout of his eight-year professional career in Manchester on 23 January against WBA champion Richar Abril, 32, from Cuba.

Hearn added: "Unfortunately the 23 January fight is off but our concerns right now are with Ant and his family.

"I'm devastated for him. He has been training for six weeks for this and has a shot at the world title in his home town.

"You ask anyone in boxing and I doubt you will find a nicer kid than Ant. I'm absolutely gutted for him.

"I have spoken to Richar Abril's team and we are trying to reschedule the fight."

Gutted for Crolla he comes across as a top bloke. Hope he has a speedy recovery and can get his world title fight re-scheduled if all goes well with surgery.

From manutd.com
We'd like to extend our best wishes to local boxer and lifelong United fan Anthony Crolla, whose upcoming world title fight has been postponed after he suffered serious injuries to his head and ankle while confronting burglars at his home in Moston last night. We hope to see him back at Old Trafford in the near future.

We're especially gutted for Anthony as we have got to know him well in recent months, having worked with him for various projects - including this interview. As it happens, our MUTV cameras were filming with him just yesterday for their 'Sporting Reds' programme.

This probably isn't the topic for it but it's worth a shot. Does anybody know where i could purchase a good quality punch bag? Would a "hanging" bag be better than a free-standing one?

You don't see many shops stocking them really anymore. Unless there is a shop nearby that specialises in boxing/mma/gym equiment?

Otherwise your best bet is to buy one online. The freestanding ones tend to be too light in my opinion. There's also different types and sizes of 'hanging' heavy bags too. If you buy online make sure you are buying the correct size for what you need.

If you've got somewhere to hang it obviously then yeah. I had quite a decent free-standing one but I couldn't fill the base heavy enough to stop it moving around when I hit it full power, and I'm not likely to be mistaken for George Foreman any time soon. Or even Paulie Malignaggi for that matter :).

Adonis Stevenson in a routine display and TKO of another over matched opponent.

For those interested, the Russian fighting out of Canada, Artur Beterbiev, the man who stopped Tavoris Cloud last time out, increased his record to 7 fights, 7 wins, 7 ko's with a win over another undefeated fighter too.
