Amir Khan fight this weekend. Hope he wins and can get the Mayweather fight.

They hype would be awesome. Loved the build up for Mayweather v Hatton. Was out of this world.

Agreed @VanGaalEra - Keith Thurman, Andy Lee and Timothy Bradley also fighting this weekend too.

Devon Alexander is a tough fight but easily dispirited when it's not going his way. Amir needs to stay sharp, focused and avoid hooks - an Alexander specialty and Khan weakness - he should get through it with a clear enough UD hopefully.

Yeah touch wood he comes through it. Just needs to stay smart and sensible I guess, even when he gets clipped.

Ps - Weigh in showing at SSN @ 10.30.

Unfortunately Khan doesn't have the same fan base as Ricky did, so I can't see it being quite the same. Most casual fans I know only watch Khan to see him get knocked out.

What do you guys think about Floyd calling out Manny? I hope It happens, but it's such a shame it wasn't 3-4 years ago.

Is this on sky tonight or box office?

He's hardly called him out. As soon as he said the $40m offer is no longer on the table and went off about Pac's recent performances, you just know this ain't happening.

Sky Sports would hype the crap out of it and would sucker people in.

I won't believe Mayweather v Pacquiao happens until I see both of them standing in the ring across from each other and that bell rings.

I know it's always been rumoured that mayweather would wait till Manny was on the way down. But you have to agree Mannny can't ask for the same deal as a few years ago. He's lost twice, controversially I guess, and some of that aura has gone.

I don't know what it is about Khan but I just can't bring myself to like him. He'll never be a top, top boxer because he isn't clinical enough and it's a shame because he has a good skill set. Seems like the most arrogant guy in the world as well.

$40m for a fight that will do $300m in US PPV sales alone is a disgrace.

How many boxers aren't 'mouthy cnuts' as you put it?

He's just always annoyed me from the start. If he achieved something great then I could accept it but from the start he came across as an arrogant tit who believed he was the greatest ever. It's fine if he backed it up, but for all the talk and hype, I don't think he's done anything special.

That said, I think Hunter can make him a better boxer and I expect him to win tonight.

Would that not be a guarenteed $40 million, with PPV shares dished out afterwards. Obviously Mayweather wants it on Showtime so he gets the biggest portion of the PPV sales, but surely Manny would get a large share.

If coverage starts from 2am what time is the fight expected? 3am?

EDIT: Not sure Khan is worth staying up til 5am for!

Yeah I'm watching it tomorrow morning along with the UFC...all I need to do is wake up early enough to fit it all in before the game.

EDIT: Not sure Khan is worth staying up til 5am for!

I'd anticipate ring walk at around 4am. Thing with Khan is, his fights are normally worth staying up for lol.

I'm too excited to sleep ahead of the Liverpool game tomorrow anyway, I'll still try and get a couple hours in before the AK fight.

It is a great card to be fair, probably one of the best this year. So you will not be watching bums fight while you wait that's for sure, Plus if you like UFC then there is a great card also on tonight that will take you into the Khan fight.

Cool cheers guys. Tbh my body clock is still fecked from flying back from Cancun on Weds, so should be OK to stay up. Yeah, one way or the other am sure it will be worth watching.

I'll have to sleep for a few hours before it, been struck with a flu like I've never had before for the last few days.

Will defo wake up to watch it though.

Last fight I watched was that Cleverly-Bellew horror:nervous:

Can't believe that fight and the entire card was PPV.

Hearn has Sky Sports like puppets on his string.
Yeah, agreed. Thankfully I found a brilliant stream and spared myself. Pity those who paid.

Khan lost his excitement ever since he left Roach. Round four of that Garcia fight had me on edge. Caught Garcia flush a few times when the fight seemed over. If he had more power, could have turned it around.

Pretty sure Floyd's original offer in 2012 didn't include a share of ppv revenue. http://www.badlefthook.com/2012/1/2...ao-floyd-offered-40-million-flat-fee-rejected

Bundu lol. Bring on the fight.

Looks a bit like Thurman is taking it easy. Not sure what to make of it really.

Harsh crowd, Bundu was a tough opponent.

Not an exiting fight, but it didn't deserve those boos from the crowd.

Khan next, and I'm absolutely shattered :(

Easy for you to say, sat at home watching it. There will be people who turned up there to watch this so called next big thing, only to be bitterly, bitterly disappointed. One of the worst fights I've ever watched, that's for sure. Not a dig at you btw, just putting myself in the shoes of the people in the arena, who had to sit through that, eye burningly boring tosh.

Compared to the fight before it, it was horrendously bad.

Khan is as stupid as he is quick IMO. If he boxed smart he'd have only 1 loss now but he gets drawn into trying to prove he has a chin...
