As for Fury, I don't rate him at all. He lost the first fight to McDermott, in my opinion. He has also been knocked on his ass by journeymen and a light hitting cruiserweight. He's been well matched so far, but he can thank his lucky stars the Haye fights didn't come off because he would have been sparked out in a couple of rounds.

Chisora appears to be in shape this time so that fight will tell us a lot.

Gamboa lost his 0 last night. I thought Crawford looked good against Burns but he's really announced himself on the big stage with that win.

Wow, very impressive from Crawford. He outboxed a boxer totally and utterly in Burns, then outfought a fighter comprehensively in Gamboa. Shame he's a total personality vacuum from Hillbillyville, Nowhere, otherwise he'd be well on course to be one of the top few draws in the world.

Really disappointed to see that Frampton has taken the rematch vs Martinez - I was dreaming of Quigg - Martinez and Frampton - Santa Cruz with the 2 winners to fight each other then go on to fight Rigo. Such an anti-climax somehow to see Frampton going back to Martinez.

Hmm, sort of an interesting card this evening - a lot of my favourite British fighters to watch are boxing, but most of the fights are pretty much a foregone conclusion in all honesty. Looking forward to Joshua and Callum Smith in particular...

Fun card tonight and a lot of exciting fighters, even if not many of them were seriously challenged in all honesty. Very hard not to get carried away about Joshua but I do think he has weaknesses still to iron out at the moment.

Total non-event that was, Eddie Hearn laughing all the way to the bank.

I hear he is embarrassing himself (even more than normal) on Twitter. Tony Thompson has said he'll step in. I don't see Fury accepting.

Macklin's fight night in the o2 going on sale at 1pm tommorow. Best night of boxing in Ireland for a while for sure. Mack gets a 3rd title shot against Cotto if he wins vs Heiland. Very strong undercard too, Spike O'Sullivan (really sound guy) vs Anthony Fitzgerald and Anthony Joshua on the cards too. Hopefully the atmosphere will be as good as McGregors fight.

Disaster, complete disaster. I had tickets and had been looking forward to this for weeks. Not sure if I can get a refund at this stage, if they could organise a half-decent replacement (Thompson would be great) then I'll still go.

More than likely. I doubt it will be anyone with a pulse, unfortunately.

I would be content with Thompson, Briggs, Browne or even Audley. I think all of them would be available. A normal boxer wouldn't take anyone half-decent at this late stage but I'm hoping that Fury is so arrogant he might consider it.

Chisora fight is now on in September. So yeah, the peanut vendor is up on Saturday night.

There is no shortage of fighters lining up to face Tyson Fury (22-0, 16KOs) on Saturday night in Manchester. On Monday morning it was announced that Dereck Chisora fractured his hand and was forced to withdraw from the fight. Talks are ongoing to reschedule that fight for the fall.

On Tuesday it was revealed that Fury still intends to fight on the card at the Phones 4 U Arena. Antonio Tarver (30-6, 21KOs), Tony Thompson (39-5, 26KOs) and event Olympic gold medal winner Audley Harrison (31-7, 23KOs) are open to the idea of stepping in on late notice to fight Fury.

Audley would fit the bill and the easiest of the three to make, but he's been inactive for over and year and is coming off a first round TKO defeat to Deontay Wilder, and those factors could make it a tough fight for the British Board to approve.

It's Ustinov.

Tyson Fury will face big-hitting Belarusian Alexander Ustinov – the 6’7, 300lb giant who Dereck Chisora broke his hand against in sparring – this Saturday at the Phones 4 U Arena in Manchester. Fury was left disappointed when Chisora withdrew from their fight yesterday after breaking his hand against Ustinov in their final sparring session, but promoter Frank Warren has moved quick to ensure all Fury’s hard training hasn’t gone to waste and secured him world ranked Ustinov.

From Minsk, Ustinov has been at Chisora’s North London gym for the last two weeks helping him to prepare for Fury, but now finds himself the man in the opposite corner with the chance of causing a huge shock and inflicting the first loss on the Wilmslow giant’s record.

Ustinov, a former kickboxing champion and MMA fighter, has won 29 out of 30 fights, with 21 ending by knockout and 13 coming inside three rounds. He’s world ranked in two of the major governing bodies: eight in the IBF and nine in the WBA. In his last fight he ended the career of former world title contender David Tua, out-pointing him to win the WBA Pan African Championship. His sole loss was to Kubrat Pulev in September 2012 in a European title challenge.

I've got to say that this is impressive from Fury, almost anyone else would have lined up a journeyman. Fury is taking on a top 20 heavyweight who is completely different to Chisora on a few days notice. That is balls. As a ticket holder I am over the moon with the replacement; it should be a real spectacle.

I watched Ustinov get completely out boxed and quit against Pulev. I am not expecting much from him, despite his record on paper.

Pulev is arguably the no.2 heavyweight in the game though, I don't think there's any shame in losing badly to him. I saw the David Tua fight and Ustinov carried out a sensible game-plan. He's not Rigondeaux but at the same time he isn't a technically poor boxer, he moves okay (he used to kickbox I believe) and if he puts his considerable weight behind anything he has decent power. I was half expecting a Latvian bouncer so Fury has to be given credit for saving a card that looked doomed when Chisora pulled out.

Yeah, he's a good (very) late replacement. Given that he was employed as a sparring partner, though, I am not sure what shape he is likely to be in.

He is still capable of knocking Fury out, given Fury's chin issues. However, I see something similar to the Pulev fight playing out. Fury might get a scare early, but will likely force a late stoppage or a wide UD.

I can't stand Fury, so I hope Ustinov fustigates him.

If this were the other way around, Fury would be on Twitter as we speak calling Ustinov all the cowards and pussies under the sun. Clown.

Yeah, it reeks of Fury bitching out. He got up close with Ustinov and decided it wasn't worth the risk.

What a joke. I hope everyone gets a full refund but I doubt it, with the rest of the card still going ahead.
