I thought it was a bit early first up, and then first replay
But then when you see the super slo-mo, there were two quality shots in that last melee, a left followed by a right. So, not a terrible call imo, maybe a shade early, but Froch would have gone on and won it that round

The judges had it a bit too close imo, I didn't have it anywhere near as wide as the commentator did though

Well if we are going off quality shots that stop the fight, then it should have happened in the first round, no?

Terrible call by the ref and a all round terrible performance, what a fecking idiot.

Feel a bit sorry for Froch as well as Groves because he won't get much credit for this, but if that had gone on I think he would have put Groves away. There were two or three huge punches and one/two more would have done it

He was fecking shite tonight but took an absolute beating and would have won regardless of the stoppage for me

SKY tv and Jim Watt were so far up Groves's arse it was unreal. The bias was akin to Jamie Rednapp being a pundit for a Liverpool game v Manchester United. They should sack the fecker.

Doesn't change the fact that Froch was anywhere, or should have been anywhere near Groves ob the score cards.

I thought Froch only won two rounds, no more than that and one had a knock down to Groves.

Why? Froch got back up right after a heavy right hand. His reputation saved him in the first round and the other rounds where he was roundly picked off, but the fact that he fought back saved him in the rounds upto the end. That is the difference, when you take shots and you don't fight back, chances are you lose the fight because the referee has to make a call.

We are talking before, during and after the fight. SKY and Watt already had their favourites and Watt most certainly was pissed off because he probably bet a few quid on Groves to win. Now I know why I watch very little boxing from SKY, with idiots like Watt I can see why.

Sky may as well had Grove's mother and father commentating on that match, probably would've been more balanced than those two clowns they had on.

It was the first time Groves got wobbled! Froch got wobbled in every fecking round tonight, yet he was let to continue, so why not show the same courtesy to Groves?

Froch isn't helping. He's acting like a wrestling heel. Then again, boxing isn't any better than WWE at this point. Disgraceful shit.

PL, I'm responding to a post saying the cards had Groves only one round up. What are you on about?

What the pundit said, and Groves said is true
Froch's reputation as a warrior helped him and gave him more 'credit' with the ref

thought the referee got it just about right, groves wasn't able to defend himself and just allowing froch to carry on unloading punches on him is dangerous and stupid

fecking unbelievable stoppage, just when it was getting proper tasty.

It was a lot closer than Jim Watt was talking too, I had Froch behind by 2 rounds going into the 9th. But yeah Froch looked out of sorts, not sure if thats the decline or just poor preperation but he doesn't deserve to be boo'd for that decision, he came off the floor and got right back into it, the ref just went waaaaay to early.

Was a great fight up until the end though, I felt my boxing love tingle again.

It is just like a script. They will have a rematch now, Groves will win after the referee recovers from a steel chair to the back of the head that Froch has hit him with. Probably will finish win a pin move and the ref hitting the floor counting to three.

Carl Froch retains his WWE championship then cuts a heel promo after a referee double cross.

Just need Groves to put him through the Spanish announce table to end the show now.

And hit Jim Watt with a chair for no reason.

In your opinion he got wobbled, but for me, Froch took the shots and threw some back of his own, that is the difference. Now, do you understand? If the referee had let the fight go on, then Groves would have been dribbling on the canvas because when he took those two big shots from Carl his legs were going and Froch is an experienced fighter. By the same token, Groves knocked down Froch in the first round, but afterwards Froch took every single one of his right hands including 6 in one round and was still standing and throwing his own.

 Do feck off.

See PL, listen to the Pro's in the studio. They know what they are talking about.
